I don't see the name Suthep anywhere here ?

Visiting the MAKRO store in Lamai, it was a pleasure to see how hygienically that store is run, especially in the meat section, where most meat is covered, and handling by the public is obviously controlled with the availability of plastic throwaway gloves and staff supervision. Congratulations to the manager.
However at the other store it is a completely different situation, often there are no gloves, and i am not confident that the staff are trained in the handling of goods. I was standing by the Belly Pork bin watching a Thai lady , up to her elbows in the belly pork , no gloves, hooking around for the piece which she wanted. At the same time a butchery staff member was standing watching her with no comment whatsoever. Is this indicative of good staff training.

I think if had hanged himself from a high beam, hands tied behind his back and no kickable furniture present, clearly a suicide. Here, the RTP will say the same, or an accident. I mean to say, his nosy neighbour witness didn't see anyone go into or out of his house.
Or he could have upset someone by just being there...
This only happens on Koh Tao.

There ya go ! i knew that those 'so called' fake mine detectors which the army bought, would come in handy one day.

The guys knew what they were doing was wrong, so

What are they going to do with 34 pieces?
Buy at least +100 for it to even look like it's for national security...
They will look nice in Bangkok for ceremonal reasons, especially when newly painted.

I can understand any nation need of upgrading military hardware. Problem is that the Thai military had bad records of poor buying decisions and corruptions. Too many examples of bad buys like the GT200, blimp and the infamous aircraft carrier and these were the only we know and perhaps more we don't. The submarines are heading towards another bad buy and many critics have thrown caution to the operational challenges. And surely the timing during this period of economic weakness and low revenue collection should have knocked some sense to the military to delay the purchase but they persisted for reasons of their own and that they hold the power. This is so wrong.
Have you forgotten the Hand Held mine detectors already.

I may presume you have the same complaints about your own government buying military hardware?
Face reality, the existing hardware is nearly 50 years old and at the very end of its lifespan.
That is really enough reason to buy replacements.
Are they needed?
The international relations say yes.
Definitely!
But have you had a good look at the public hospitals . Something which the people of Thailand really need more that modern armoured cars.

If the equipment these new APCs will replace is some 40-50 years old, then they've done better than the schoolchildrens' tablet-computers "just like mine", in which the previous administration 'invested'.
But all major investment should be carefully weighed & considered, before decisions are made, as some bad ones (like the new submarine) are still slipping through !
Looks like someone at the top is about to retire, as somebody appears to be about to get his last big payday according to Thai military regulations.

This is criminal, why is so much money being spent on the military when the public hospitals are in such a run down and sorry state.

Go Go dancers are more important than policemen. Kill a Go Go dancer and you are stuffed. Kill a policeman and you get to go on a world tour where they will never find you.

There is no firm evidence of this. The footage that we see on Thai TV is archive and was taken many months ago.
His last (publically) known location was Singapore on April 27th. He left on that day, abandoning his private jet. There are plenty of news stories on the net about this.
The fact that he abandoned such a valuable asset would indicate that he really feels as if he's ''on the run'' this time.
The Private jet was leased !. And he is probably in Canada right now.

Melbourne, Australia has rampant crime of late. Forced home invasions, car jackings, aggravated burglaries and senseless crime.. In Bangkok I feel extremely safe and haven't had any issues, nor for anywhere in Thailand... Melbourne was the most liveable city but no longer...

Sour grapes by the sound of it. If the Buriram track favours all but himself then he slags it. IMHO there needs to be a wide range of different circuits for grand prix racing in order to give a fair opportunity to all riders and their machines.
Yes, but he is correct concerning access.

I didn't know there were any Yakuza in Thailand. Never heard of any issues with the Japanese here, they are usually very hard-working and polite.
Duhh! read it again, several Japanese are being questioned, and there are airlines operating between Japan and Thailand.

Is this really the way English justice system is working?
In 2005 seemed to be unfit for trail, than nothing happens till 2013. 8 years nothing?
He flied to Thailand and just because he had some overstay, Immigration took him and find out that he has been charged so they hand him over to UK’s National Crime Agency and they bring him to trail in 2017.
Good he is found guilty and locked up for 18 years, or will he be after a few years of the hook for good behavior and old age, not fit to stay in Prison or maybe: He have to take care the properties in Thailand so we give him a one way ticket.
By the looks of him, he has'nt got 18 yrs left
