He's hooked and I'm not the only one that has said this. He might as well give her his ATM card and his pin number. My cousin was a bargirl OK and it changed her. She's in chum phae right this minute, she quit the biz and became the girl that she use to be again and she said she would never work in a bar again. It's been two years now and she's doing fine. But she was the same as the girl this guy got hooked by.

Who said I know everything!!! These Girls want Farang men to come to see them. So they can sick there claws into them and don't tell me this dosen't happen. My Cousin was given a car and jewels from some farang men she knew. She also has a nice bank account because of farang men sending her money every month.

My wife just flew from Atlanta to Bangkok in September and returned three weeks later on Korean Air for just $842.  I just did a quick search on Expedia and nothing came up less than $2000 anytime in December or early Jan.  Can't believe the price swings.

Might want to call Korean Air direct -- sometimes they may be able to fix you up.  Flight from Atlanta is direct to Seoul, Korea (15 hours), then 5 hours to BKK.  Good service, cheap price (at least they were).

OK Thanks I'll check that out. I flew to Thailand last year at that price also $842. The $2000 is not that bad either. First time I flew to Thailand in 1987 I paid almost $3000 dollars for a ticket

I agree, if you keep away from Yala, Narathiwat and Pattani and exercise caution you should have no problems. Always be aware of what is going on around you and keep up to date with recent events.

One thing that is worth realising, these people in the deep south do not have a beef with western people, there beef is with the govenment and people who work for the government i.e. police, army etc.

having said that though they are bombing beer bars neer the border.

I agree with Explorer. Stay on the Had Yai to Sadao route and maybe consider going from Had Yai to Penang(Malaysia) via Sadao in a tour bus.

The trouble only seems to be in the 3 provinces of Yala, Narathiwat and Pattani. To me, the three nicest provinces of southern Thailand.

Have a look at flights to KL,HK as well as Singers. If you're booking a return also make sure your wife can get a seat on that flight or that it's easy to reschedule to suit your outgoing plans. January out of Thailand can be tricky with seats as well.

Yes it is the busy season for Thailand and with fuel price so high they are probably not running any flight if not expect it to be full so you may have to pay top price or try to make it standby to Bangkok.  You might check flights to Singapore as you can bus/train/fly from there.

You have the choice from east coast to use Europe as your access point if all trans-pacific flights are full; although it is usually more expensive.

Can someone tell me if this is the busy time of the year  because of the holiday's   My wife just got her visa and I have been looking.  I can get a flight to overseas but the problem is getting a flight to bangkok,   seems really booked up. 

The soonest I can get is January after the new year holiday.

Never divorced, married 15 years and haven't even considered it. My parents (dad and stepmom) are both on their second marriages, not too shabby considering that the second marriage has lasted 35 years!
