In other words, big spuds, farang girls expect a bit more from their guy? Perhaps so, but I would think it would depend on the Asian lady you met as well. I know some very independent, very picky Thai women, so there goes that idea!
But it is true, any girl likes a guy with a good sense of humor, one who doesn't take him self too seriously (guys, work on those tacky lines, they are are soooo old), and who listens as well as talks. (Big one there guys, nothing turns a girl off more than a guy who loves the sound of his own voice).
As for how to approach a farang girl, well my thai hubby just came up and said Hi and we started talking, it helped that his English was good and that he had a lovely smile . Generosity of spirit is a nice thing too(and I don't mean buying stuff for your girl).
Single girls on the forum, have I left anything out? Besides of course, stunning good looks and a great bod
As for me, I have to say that I have never been really attracted to an Asian man (...well...maybe one man...Chow Yun Fat ... ....out of reach, though )
for a simple reason: as I am a tall girl, I only fancy big guys much taller than me. Besides it, I will not say I have never met any Thai guy I find cute, but that's the problem, I only find them cute not masculin.
And the funny thing is I would say that I don't pay much attention how the guy looks, most of the time I am seduced by his personality. But as I read back what I've just written I think that finally, the way he looks plays an important role in my unconscious.
So you like vampires or wolves then??

guy's lay off iammaic,
He's an ok guy , litlle misguided patriotically but that will wear off.
I sure would like to have a beer with him , but we better not talk politics
By the way i don't drink beer , Cola also ok ?
Now we know who.
i butted heads before with maic , elsie. I don't agree with the american vision as you know but no member needs to be teased off this board....
Hope you would agree on this one, we always have the sword of damocles (the mods) over our heads so , let's make it not worse.
Everybody's got their vision and is entitled to it, how strange they may seem to others from a different culture. That's how we learn from each other.
As i was brought up in a small european country , patriotism still raises my eyebrows, while i wonder what the ###### people are on about, Americans as well as thais ?
It's human nature to only learn when you make mistakes, i know i made a lot of them already . We have to allow others to make them also
I'm sorry to hear from Iammaic his loss lately in another thread and it will probably make him ponder on other things said here as well lately.
So cut him some slack for now.
probably get enough slack to hang myself from some other members But that's OK

If it is that noni stuff then do not buy it.
It grows everywhere in Thailand and is called Luk Your or Ma Kee Dhow ( I won't tell you want that means or you will not drink it)
The flavour is odd, half way between blue cheese and cold vomit but apparently it is very good for you.

Isn't there a Wat in bangkok that teaches Traditional Thai Massage?? I had visited one last time I was in bangkok and remember seeing a sign that said that. My wife told me I could get massage for five US dollars.

the most dangerous time during a flight is take-off and landing.
A friend of mine that went to flight school said the same thing, He said make it past the take off everything is smooth sailing. Until you come to the landing when you start praying to yourself. He also said even a bad landing that you can walk away from is still a good landing.
-
He should just be himself everything should work out fine, A friend of my wife He likes Farang girls. Not many in udorn thani So he's kinda stuck. He asked for my help All I told him maybe better luck in Bangkok.
But I think he meant the US.
