Your child will be a UK citizen if born to a UK citizen even if born outside the UK but I think if born out of the UK the children of your children will not be automatically UK citizens.

What a crock, saint my arse, she did it for money theyre all to blame, there was a time when it could have been aborted and that would have been the most sensible course of action, as is often the case "sensible" and "religions" dont go together
I agree with this, all are to blame. Who knows what was discussed prior to her becoming pregnant, we will probably never know the truth.
She is just shouting because she made the wrong decision and wants more money. Sadly the child will suffer because of it.- 1

A UK Emergency Travel Document is for one way travel back to the UK only, and any ticket purchased would need to have the final destination as the UK only. Travelling to anywhere not on a connecting flight to the UK will be impossible.

I think this thread might get closed down. But is an interesting thought though.

Thailand infuriates me like this. I went to MK and they said Credit Cards only, I'm thinking it's the same card machine for both maybe they just want to try and get cash. Also foreign cards attract higher charges for the company and have a higher chance of charge back??

I used the EEA FP to bring my wife to the UK via the Surrinder Singh route. I had to live in Ireland for a couple of months and we succeeded in getting the FP. I'm a British Citizen
The UKBA will smell a rat and will almost certainly refuse the FP initially even if you qualify. I also think there are new rules on dual nationality, I don't think you can just decide to not be a British citizen.
Also you have not lived in Ireland and would been seen to trying to use a right you are not entitled to.
But who knows the FP is free to apply for so can't hurt I guess.

Last year I used my Bangkok Bank debit card in the UK, it was accepted by the chip reader, but defaulted to sign only & many shops didn't want to accept it, which means it will not work at unmanned pos terminals.

I am going to send my wife's EEA2 application tomorrow and am hoping that the new rules don't apply to us as she already has her family permit?
I am thinking they might refuse it and then I will have to complain again.

I would like to share our recent experience in obtaining a UK EEA Family Permit.
I am a British Citizen.
Firstly I left Thailand to go and live in Ireland in early September, it took me about 3 weeks to find a decent job. Found lodgings in a house, as backpacker we doing my head in!
At the end of November I came back to Thailand to get married. Applied for a Join EU Spouse visa at the Dublin Embassy, it took about 1 week to issue with very minimal documents needed.
Both of us went to Ireland on the 6th December, moved into an apartment in Dublin got a joint rental agreement and Internet/Phone account.
On the 17th December submitted my wife's UK EEA Family Permit Application expecting everything to go through easy.
On the 7th January we go a letter stating that my time period in Ireland did not meet the qualifying period of regulation 9 of the 2006 EU immigration act.
So I looked up the act and in it there is no set time period for the EEA national to be in another member state, so I quickly started to write a complaint letter to the visa department at the Dublin embassy detailing their error, I emailed it and they responded in 2 days stating that an entry clearance manager had reviewed the application, and that we did meet the conditions of the act and will revoke the previous decision and issue the visa.
Now we are both on the UK I have a good job and she is looking for work.
I pays to complain if you believe you are right. My wife was only in Ireland for 11 days when we made our application and myself just over 3 months and we managed to bypass all of the immigration requirements.

Yepee,
Today my wife had her Join EU spouse in Ireland visa approved, only took 6 days to process with minimal documentation.
Now its time to book the flights, can anyone on here confirm that if flying via France CDG airport to Dublin that no transit visa is required?
Thanks.

I want to get a car or taxi to nong phai from bkk airport but being quoted about 4700 baht is this reasonable?
Any recommendations?

Hi everybody,
My new wife submitted her visa application at the Irish Consulate in Bangkok on the 27/11/13, the visa she applied for is a Join EU spouse resident in Ireland, the visa is free as I am from the UK but living and working in Dublin.
In the Invitation letter I quoted that I was exercising my EU Treaty Rights for my wife to come and live with me.
The only documents that were required as advised by the EU Treaty Department in Dublin were:
1. Her passport.
2. Copy of my passport.
3, Marriage certificate original & translated.
4. Proof that I am resident in Ireland. I supplied a Pay Slip & Tax Credit notification.
In addition to the documents they requested, I also supplied these documents to show our relationship as we only got married yesterday:
5. Many western union transfer receipts.
6. Joint Thai Bank account.
My question is has anybody been through the same process with the Irish Consulate as me claiming EU Treaty Rights?
How long did they take to issue the visa as they are supposed to be issued promptly and take priority?
Thanks

I need to get a Thai marriage certificate translated into English, and legalised.
I know the MFA legalises English documents translated into Thai, but do they do it the other way round?
The Irish Embassy require a Marriage Certificate – evidence (apostilled document) that marriage has
been registered in applicant’s country of origin/residence to issue a visa.
Thanks

Hi,
I am exploring the possibility of living in Ireland, and exercising my EU treaty rights to bring my Thai wife to Ireland.
My understanding of this type of visa is that it is free and requires only my residence in Ireland and being married?
Is this correct?
Thanks

It has an active card in it, and I will continue paying the bill, I want my wife to be able to watch Truevision in the UK?

I have a Truevision box and would like to know if it is theoretically possible to use it in the UK?
Thanks for your replies.

I have a plane ticket for the 8th September, and could really do with getting my extension sorted out in the next couple of days.
But if I must wait so be it.
-
I would like to extend my 30 day stamp upon arrival.
My current permission to stay finishes on the 3rd September, I need to stay until the 8th September.
When can I go to the immigration office and extend 7 days?
Do they always add the 7 days as an addition to my current permission to stay?
My nationality is British.
Thanks for your replies.

I have got the same problem as you, I have the 1gb unlimited package, but after I added a daily package I lost my wifi.

My wife just got her family visitor visa back submitted 3 weeks ago.
My question is it says valid 27/5/2013 - 27/11/2013 multi entry max stay 180 days.
Can she enter say 26/11/2013 and stay 180 days?
Or does she have to leave by 27/11/2013?
Thanks

On the arrival card it clearly states visa number, all Thai visa's have a number attached to them.
I forgot before and nearly got the wrong stamp, it is your responsibility to ensure you fill out the arrival card properly, if you don't then you run the risk of being stamped in incorrectly!
Don't listen to Thai air they probably didn't understand, they never have to put a visa number.

Flying direct.
