  1. Bet Jose would not have released him had they known that MancC was going to pull that FFP stunt!

Funny that. As I haven't heard Mourinho or any Chelsea fan moan about it. The only people I have heard moan is Wenger. Oh and MrRed laugh.png

Your losing it mate...or are you not reading what the New York City fans are saying?

It is not just me anymore tongue.png

  2. Told you all, disgraceful really. biggrin.png bordering on cheating again to get round the FFP RULES that they broke last season wink.png

Here is what the fans think......

Frank Lampard: Man City stay prompts New York fans' outrage

Fans of Major League Soccer's New York City are "outraged" by Frank Lampard's decision to stay with Manchester City until the end of the English season.

Lampard, 36, signed for New York after being released by Chelsea last June but then joined the Premier League champions on a short-term deal.

That deal has now been extended to the summer, meaning Lampard could miss the first three months of the MLS season.

New York fans group the Third Rail said it "publicly denounced" the decision.

In a statement, the independent supporters group added: "Many fans, including our members, decided to support the team, committed to season tickets, and bought merchandise under the impression that Frank Lampard would be playing for New York City Football Club, not Manchester City.

"Many of those fans are rightly outraged by this decision, and we support any course of action they take to voice their discontent over this decision."

The Third Rail added: "We reject out of hand any suggestion that NYCFC is in any way secondary to Manchester City FC, regardless of the source, and are disappointed that City Football Group would give such an appearance."MLS franchise New York City are owned jointly by Manchester City and baseball giants the New York Yankees.

Lampard's original move to the Etihad was criticised by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who suggested the club had bypassed Financial Fair Play rules to sign the former England midfielder.

Lampard has scored six goals in 17 appearances for City this season.

The Premier League ends on 24 May, while the Champions League final takes place on 6 June - Manchester City face Barcelona in the last 16 next month.

New York City admitted they do not know when Lampard will join the club.

"His exact starting date with New York City FC will be confirmed as the EPL and MLS seasons unfold," said the American club.

"All parties remain in ongoing dialogue to create the best outcome for all."

Former Liverpool player and New England Revolution coach Steve Nicol told ESPN the deal sent a negative message about MLS to fans.

"It's a disaster for that new franchise, a disaster for MLS," he said.

But MLS deputy commissioner Mark Abbott believes the move remains a positive one for US soccer.

He said: "Frank Lampard's performance at Manchester City reaffirms that he is one of the world's elite midfielders and we look forward to him joining NYCFC during the 2015 season."

  4. You can get different packages for a month in general like true knowledge for about 100 bt a month or true film channel for the same i saw one card was 30 bt a month yesterday so maybe i will try it out just to see.

I think you will have to have a true box and be on the minimum package to get a benefit from these cards.

maybe you just sms a number to the true visions top up for the tv and the unscramble the channel/s you have paid for for that month.

  5. First of all good karma to him for this act of kindness which will be noted in the local community.

The argument that the temple and monks have money is irrelevant as for all anyone knows they might not have or they may have planned to paint the walls in the future...who knows?

At the end of the day it is his sole decision to do this and his time and money is better spent than sitting getting pissed or whoring in the bars.

One thing it shows is that the local pu yai baan is losing face and the temple head a little also ....that it takes an ageing farang to come along and do something that the village head/head monk should have budgeted for in there yearly budget biggrin.png but we all know that the money they get is conserved for when it is needed like retirement or paying for there next term.

What really should of happened and would of happened in a civilized/educated country is that the local community would have seen him start one day and the next would have turned up in numbers with paint and tools and all chipped in to get the job done quicker for the benefit of all. That is the real problem here community action only happens when money is involved...not all but most Thais think this way.

  6. I thought it was very very important that fat frank is there doing his marketing best for them and his employers afterall taht is what they signed him for wasn't it??

They signed him to play football not to ponce around doing marketing over there. The best way for Frank to market himself is by staying match fit and impressing NYC supporters by playing well in the best league in the world.

I know we will not agree on this mate because we have different views on it.

They signed him NYC owned by city football company with the intention of loaning him to MCFC.

If he does not go back at the end of the year when his loan period ends it will be very fishy....surely you can see that?

Especially when pre season starts and it is there first year in the MLS.And you are wrong about the marketing aspect ...all these older pro's are being payed big money to go there and help push the league into a comparable world status so they can move it forward the yanks are masters at this and see the money it will make in the future.

If he stays on at city and i was a NYC fan i would be fissed off that he comes back pucked after a hard season at city.

  7. Money doesn't come into it ....how can it when City own The american club ....in a roundabout way they pay his wages anyway...it was just a crafty little zig(dirty and underhand) to get past the FFP ban they had.

Only if he does stay it will be more in the spotlight what they did....seeing as it will be New Yorks first season operating in the MLS I thought it was very very important that fat frank is there doing his marketing best for them and his employers afterall taht is what they signed him for wasn't it??

    Er NO.

    We will see.

  8. I don't know if you are aware of the animal hospital in the university complex in khon kaen....they will be able to help you or guide you in the right direction as regards if there are any dogs that need a home

Unfortunately dogs in Thailand are not cared for in shelters that is why you have so many on the streets and in temples if you are looking for anything probably best looking for a pregnant bitch around your home and asking the owner if there is an owner..... if you can have first shout on the litter.

    good luck.

  9. Manchester United have confirmed they are set to continue their spending spree after part-owner Edward Glazer put three million shares up for sale.

In a sale prospectus, the club say they "anticipate a higher level of net player capital expenditure".

Edward Glazer, son of former United owner Malcolm, was handed an equal share along with his five siblings when their father died in May 2014.

The sale of the shares could be concluded by the end of the week.

After a 2013-14 season in which United failed to qualify for the Champions League, new manager Louis van Gaal spent £150m on new players in the summer including a British record £59.7m to bring Angel Di Maria from Real Madrid.

On Friday, the Dutchman reacted angrily to reports he will once again spend heavily, describing them as "disgusting" and "disrespectful".

However, the prospectus says United expect money will be spent and hints at contract extensions for existing players, saying cash may go "to retain talent and enhance the calibre of our team in the near term".

The Glazer family retained a 90% share in United when 10% was listed on the New York Stock Exchange in August 2012.

BBC Sport understands that the three million shares up for sale amount to around 2% of the company and represent around 15% of Edward Glazer's personal holding.

The family has previously sold some of their shares, and in July announced they would be disposing of eight million more to raise about £88.7m.

Following the sale, the Glazer family will own about 80% of shares in the Premier League club, although they will retain close to 95% of the voting rights.

Edward Glazer, who serves as co-chairman of NFL franchise Tampa Bay Buccaneers and is co-president of the Glazer Family Foundation, will use the funds, expected to be around £28.7m, for personal estate planning.

The prospectus also warns investors that they may not receive dividends on the shares and that anti-takeover measures taken by the club mean it may not be sold to potential new owners even if a transaction would be beneficial to shareholders.

It also warns that share price may go down if the team underperforms and fails to qualify for Europe again.

A statement from the Old Trafford club read: "Manchester United plc today announced the offering of 3,000,000 of its Class A Ordinary Shares by the Edward S. Glazer Irrevocable Exempt Trust (the 'Selling Shareholder').

"The underwriter will have an option to purchase up to an additional 450,000 Class A Ordinary Shares from the Selling Shareholder.

"Manchester United will not receive any proceeds from the sale of any Class A Ordinary Shares by the Selling Shareholder.

"The offering is expected to close on 12 December 2014, subject to customary closing conditions."

  10. What a <deleted> this Frenchman is. Last year he was against using goal line technology, which in most people's opinion is essential to verify crucial decisions made by the refs and their linesmen. Maradona's "hand of god", Henry's goal against Ireland and indeed, Hurst's 'goal' in 1966, for example.

Now he's telling the world that the Ballon d'or should go to a German, because Germany won the World Cup. Real Madrid are quite rightly annoyed with Platini for suggesting that it shouldn't go to Ronaldo, arguably the season's best player.

Goal line technology would not have solved Maradona´s hand of god goal or Henry´s goal against ireland as there was no doubt as to if the ball crossed the line or not. Platini is against the over use of technology in the game as it can/could interfere with the natural flow of the game. It´s not American football where everything is screened and put up on big screens and referee ha sto explain to crowd his decition that would be horrible for football. I´d hate it if every offside or ball in play/out of play was debated or inside outside of the box, replays every handball (was it hand to ball or ball to hand?)

Goalline technology is fine but too much technology can spoil it. That was platini´s objection to goal line technology.

Balon d oro winner? I´d have Bale, tired of the Ronaldo/Messi dominating the ownership. Bale was no slouch last season either!

2nd Choice for FIFA Balon d or would have been Suarez...That aint ever going to happen!

Some good points Derek there until you said Bale and then Suarez just because you are tired of the Ronaldo/Messi domination.....they are owning it for a reason and yes they are the best two in the world by quite a margin at the moment....score and make goals for fun the pair of them.

As for Plattini ...i like rus's summary they are a pair of sponges sucking the life out of football at the top. Mafia.

  11. A 'bold' squad?? hahahahaha.

And anyone who thinks Woy, or indeed any manager will start with THREE strikers has no right to be on a football forum.

When I saw this thread I wasn't going to open it as I knew the knowledge here would be shocking, I wasn't disappointed.

    I won't be returning.

Very happy that you opened "it" and even went on to post in it ....we are all extremely disappointed that you will not be returning with your wisdom. laugh.png go forth and multiply w00t.gif

  12. OP and others in a similar situation of x years of overstay .... You are breaking the law. I hope you are incarcerated and then deported and never allowed to return. Your total disregard for the rules, and the absurd support of some TV posters on this and other threads, gives us all a bad name. No wonder Immigration views us all with suspicion and treats us with little respect. I hope and pray the scrutiny of ED visas is just the beginning, and the rules are much more effective and ridgedly applied in the future. Liike it or not all of you reading this, we are tarred with the same brush, and it makes me sick!

Here's another law book interpreter by proxy. Very hard for this type to comprehend the simple facts expressed above: The overstay fine is just another way of extracting money from foreigner, and having them come for more milking. There is no moral judgment involved, but even if there was, one individual action's do not extend to others. If you have an inferiority complex or guilty feelings of some sort, take care of that another way.

Very sad to know that some can whish prison punishement to the next person just because he/she is paying all at once what is normally paid over the course of 3 or 4 years.

Really it's your problem only if feel sick about some else actions, try to not get even more sick when you will learn, again, that law in Thailand is administered differently from your desires

I sure do hope that over-stayers flood your home country and when discovered are given a small fine and allowed immediately to return so as to repeat the process.

Does that happen in your country or does that country allow anyone to stay for as long as they wish, regardless of visa status? Or are miscreants deported and not allowed to return ?

Please tell us all about this wonderful place with no immigration rules smile.png

Yep that's exactly the place ...it is called England the only difference is they let every tom dick and harry come and stay legally smile.png and then bring there familys over and then claim benefits.

  13. In the premier league...wink.png redrus Was touch n go for a while wasn't it...x

As i have said before the only thing that would tempt me back to England would be a season in the Championship biggrin.png shame that ....ohh what fun we would of had again!

I had to laugh when i saw the opening poster was Jack laugh.png"Anything less than second would be a failure."...... How the fallen have mighty.

    Happy new year Rus thumbsup.gif

  14. It took all of 36 posts for the first "let him who is without sin cast the first stone" argument to appear.

Sure, everyone breaks the law now and then. Sometimes we don't even know we are doing it.

But there is a big difference between flicking a cigarette butt into the gutter, and dumping a truck load of them outside the Royal Palace.

Much the same difference between letting your visa slip a couple of days beyond its expiry, and going 4.5 years overstay.

As 'guests' in the Kingdom of Thailand, it screams blatant disrespect, whatever the circumstances.

I don't think you really understand that overstay here by farang is little compared to the hundreds of thousands of Lao Burmese and Cambodians who try to support there family's survival by working here on illegal entries. What difference is there their?

    Wake up.

Asking that question is a sure sign of a "farang" needing to return homesmile.png

I did and came back again, bought the t-shirt as well wink.png as for your comment jail awaits...it doesn't! IDC is where you stay until you can sort things out and after you ignoring my earlier honest appraisal of the overstay situation which is far far greater from the people of neighboring countries ...you have never been there either.....i hope you never will.

Ignorance is bliss for the opinionated smile.png

  16. Not everybody have English as their first language (included me:-).

    One "grammar police" post deleted

To the OP, as many people say, get a flight ticket, 20.000, nice dress and don't worry

It certainly sounds like a simple process according to you. Whether it be 4.5 yrs or 9 yrs overstay and you can get to the airport 'in time' before you are caught with having no valid visa. Certainly a risky business prolonging your overstay, would you not agree?

Not only that, but it also shows a real lack of any kind of respect for the laws of this Kingdom !

So you respect the laws of the kingdom do you?

Because you are a tiny minority here and i am including the Thai population corruption is the rule like it or not.
