  1. I agree with you.

There is no doubting Messi's obvious talent and he is up there among the greatest players ever but the difference between him and Ronaldo is that he has never played in another league like Ronaldo has.

The Spanish league is good but you are given more time and the amount of goals he and Ronaldo scored last season just show how much easier it is.....they would not score that many in the Premier league and also they don't have the time on the ball like they get in Spain, imo it is a much easier league to play in.

I would really like to see Messi in the Premier League and see how he handles it ......lets face it is record for Argentina is nowhere near as good as it is for Barcelona. He has won everything there is to win in Spain and been at Barca nearly 11 years time to show if he ca cut it in another country just like Ronaldo has done.

Frank Ribery is a good footballer but not in the same class of the other two and his dealings with underage prostitutes in France that was hushed up by the FFA so he could be picked for the world cup in South Africa will always stick with him.

Also one thing that Ronaldo is obviously much better at is scoring goals also with his head.

  2. Barkley was quality vs arsenal last night. Marauding midfield runs, similar to an early Paul Gascoigne. IF he can keep that form up, he has to figure in Woy's starting line up.

Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect Thailand

I would take him at the moment ahead of a few... just to give him the experience and let him play....would love to see a young squad taken and all the old <deleted> binned.

Hopefully Wilshere will pick up also.

  3. We have got six months to sort Suarez out.

    Sounds a bit sinister Red

I hope not! i wouldn't wish anyone out of the World Cup .........biggrin.png You must admit though he is carrying a lot of weight on his shoulders being the focal point of your team the sooner Sturridge is fit the better for him as he will struggle doing it all alone surely......you know stress and the modern day footballer! tongue.png

  4. Blue you have lost me on this one,not difficult i hear you say!

Are you saying the 1pm kick-offs will be at 11pm Thai time 100%

    4pm.....3am!

    5pm......4am

with the only decent times for us here being 7pm kick offs 6am blink.png

Not many late games on here http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/matches/

I cant see them changing them till late evening there as it will be 1 am in Europe but better for us here although the 1pm kick-offs will be watchable at 11pm if left ....difficult one this for FIFA.

  5. If it was my soi and it attacked an old lady and and then a small child it would be no more already......and the Thai's would of taken care of it themselves, even the owner most probably.

Sorry but if its passed attacking people was done then it would of been acted upon even in Thailand dogs especially soi dogs do not get a second chance when biting kids.

Tell your Mrs to go speak to these people and see what transpires, but i have doubts as surely the kids owner would of done something before.

The owner needs to be taken to the Police station scumbags.

  6. Concerning the warm welcome you have received, I got the same treatment 17 years ago, and I am still very warmly received in the village. They are certainly sincere. But please separate money from that. You do not need to PAY for that, it is free. Certainly, if something happens to a family member, not helping at all would get you a bad reputation, but this is perfecly understandable. Do not build any house, deal with big amounts of money before a couple of years. Take your time !

Just so people can see you are talking in riddles......and by your other posts i would imagine your first love was from Udon Thani lol!

    Anyway carry on old bean.

Sincere hahaha ...your cover is blown!

  7. Hello, a lot of members do not know Thailand at all and can hardly speak two words of Thai. Having stayed years in Pattaya does not give one the right to have a authorized opinion on everything Thai -wink.png)

Ryro88, imho you made a big mistake. The amount of money you gave to them was the equivalent of one month salary for someone in the country. The simple fact that they took the money is an indication of Thai people bad mentality versus money. They should have refused the money, simply put. It was OK to give them some money, for example pay for the car benzine. And give a small gift on departure. But 5000 baths, certainly not.

The message you have given to them is that you are in fact a walking ATM. Mgjackson69 is perfectly right. Next step is most probably to try to get more and more from you. Not that they are bad people. But because they are Thai and because of the strange relation between Thai and money. Do not show your money, refuse loans, put clear barriers, this is my advice (I am happily married for 17 years with an isaan girl).

I think your misses really really loves you don't you?

Did you say never buy a house?....did you? or are you just living surviving in hers?

The Thai psychology you pretend to know is embarrassing really,i think you need to get out more pal.

Well, my thai wife gave me 4 kids and we built a house for our (long) holidays, but we are the only ones living in it. I have travelled a lot in Asia and in Thailand in particular, I don't know if it is enough for you ;-)))

Thanks for clearing that up .....so you did build a house with your money.........but advised others not to do! why?

  9. A couple of posts on here by people who really must enjoy living in khon kaen, why do you live here if you cannot/don't even want to celebrate with the locals at new year...really sad.

A one week drunk fest? yeah right!

It is a really easy going night although very busy the main street in the town is full of party people and live music and bands the park/garden next to the "ancient" gate is a glow of lights and is a great place t take some snaps and relax listening to the main stage music...i have done a few years at it now and at the end of the day it is new year....we all celebrate the world over but a one week drunk fest is a bit harsh mate....or maybe that is just you?

  10. I really don't know why people are even bothering with these companies anymore.

I watch every game at home online and never pay a bean apart to my internet provider.

No buffering ...on the telly ...great.

That's fantastic if you are able to watch every English Premier League game live in full HD on a large TV screen TV from an Internet connection for free. I envy you.

Not for free....i pay for my internet connection that is excellent through true.Really enjoying the Ashes at the moment in HD wink.png

  11. You can read all the books in the World but there is nothing like the feeling of getting duped yourself to really understand the cultural differences.tongue.png

In my experience being warned of eventualities makes one more prone to fall into them knowingly, the fact is how many times have you told friends to not do this and that on there first visit to Thailand......but they always seem to do the opposite.

Better to write your own path and hope luck and the judgement's you make are on your side.

In Thailand the saying should be "face" is stranger than fiction! wink.png
