  1. Let the train take the strain
  2. When was the last time Thaksin's trusted daughter was seen entering the hospital? Months ago.
  3. Moreover he would let the world know about his condition, exploit any public sympathy for political value. How many times has his daughter been seen rushing into the hospital the last few months?
  4. Khruangbin the Thai word for aeroplane
  5. So Thaksin 'rarely has visitors.' That reminds me of the ancient adage, a variation on 'chasing the wind', namely: ' bringing grapes to an empty bed.' '
  6. It was the policy of Anuthin, the leader of Bhumjaithai Party. No doubt he hoped to win many votes in the last election with it.
  7. I'm sure the 10% monthly interest fee mentioned in the article is illegal. 5% is the maximum allowed under law. I sincerely hope he has some relatives or friends he can rely on for his life from now on will not be easy with an aunt like that living nearby.
  8. Sawatdee Khun Mor. I suffer from stress due to various factors: my free spending wife, traffic jams, pollution, the dog down the road that chases me on my daily bike ride, dogs that bark all night, so..... I'd really appreciate a health certificate for some weed please as a couple of hours under the influence in my hammock listening to great music whilst watching the butterflies flitter amongst the flowers and bushes is just sooooo far out..... Thanks, doc .
  9. And then he showed ordinary people their vote didn't count by joining the junta parties to keep out the clear election winners, MF. Shame on him
  10. I've got more chins than a Chinese phone book.
  11. Foot tapping, head shaking...
  12. I remember his remarks after one election about provinces that didn't elect his party's MPs having to go to the back of the queue for budget allocation. Always divisive, always arrogant.
  13. Apparently Israel knew about a potential attack by Hamas but ignored it. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/11/30/world/middleeast/israel-hamas-attack-intelligence.html#:~:text=Israel Knew Hamas's Attack Plan More Than a Year Ago,out the attack in detail.
  14. Netanyahu is accused of supporting Hamas https://www.timesofisrael.com/for-years-netanyahu-propped-up-hamas-now-its-blown-up-in-our-faces/
  15. Israel planning resettlement for the Gaza residents. But not to the east, the south. https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/us-slams-israeli-ministers-statements-resettlement-palestinians-outside-gaza-2024-01-02/#:~:text=WASHINGTON%2C Jan 2 (Reuters),rhetoric "inflammatory and irresponsible."
  16. Israel will go to court https://www.pbs.org/newshour/world/israel-to-defend-itself-at-world-court-after-south-africa-files-genocide-accusations
  17. PT might see the return of Yingluk a big opportunity to boost their popularity. Many upcountry warmed to her beauty and good naturedness. I don't think Thaksin's daughter has the same draw. But she might not be up to a return to the political area, especially as her woeful grasp of both Thailand's geography and the English language were cruelly exposed during her tenure. A surprise character who might help the elite's image has appeared the last year. He seems to be one of the good people, but his idea of good might differ from his elders!
  18. I like your optimism but I'm sure the establishment would prefer to maintain power the way they have been doing, sidelining MF. The end of the month will see the Constitutional Court verdicts regarding MF and Pita. Will the court dissolve and/ or ban the above? MF could rise from the ashes with a new name as Thaksin's parties did but it would be a struggle
  19. Doubters all around. Only the naive would believe a word from either Hamas or the IDF https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misinformation_in_the_2023_Israel–Hamas_war#:~:text=Misinformation has been wide-ranging,in circulation on social media.
