  1. A longer video of the exchange showing the patience of the police dealing with this troublemaker.
  2. Sorry Bob, your man's been found out. He's been trying to provoke a violent reaction from the pro Palestine marchers but failed. "Initial story about ‘openly Jewish’ incident not full picture, says ex-senior Met officer | Police | The Guardian" https://amp.theguardian.com/uk-news/2024/apr/22/initial-story-about-openly-jewish-incident-not-full-picture-says-ex-senior-met-officer
  3. Now Thaksin and PT have joined the conservative parties, there's no place for anti establishment viewpoints on their station, so time to close it down. Not with a bang, but with a whimper.
  4. For over 20 years I had to leave our farm every year on May 11/12 to go back to work as a teacher in Bangkok It was frustrating as, almost to clockwork, the rains would begin then in north Issan. After 6 parched weeks on the farm, I would love to have been there for the early rains and blessed relief from the heat. So if it's any solace, the rains may begin then.
  5. I hope you're right but as the article says, Thaksin is a businessman. If he can improve the economy and offer enough populist policies to the grassroots, then Pheu Thai may resurge, especially if, as expected, Pita and other executives of Move Forward are banned for years. And Yingluck, if she returns as seems likely from recent court decisions, could certainly boost PT's popularity, again with the grass roots. But she may have had enough of politics. Thaksin's daughter doesn't have the charisma to carry the party forward imo, and Toni is old, irrelevant to the young. Pheu Thai would very likely fold once Toni leaves the planet Regarding MF, they need another charismatic leader to take over, Parit, Abhisit's nephew could be one example. The future belongs to them. To quote the late great drunkard, Jim Morrison, ' They've got the guns, we've got the numbers'.
  6. In Thailand empirical facts regarding court cases are subject to political winds. The case brought by the Constitutional Court against Yingluck regarding Thawil has been revoked. "khaosodenglish.com/news/2023/12/27/yingluck-lawyer-explains-how-his-client-got-her-court-case-dismissed/amp/" https://www.khaosodenglish.com/news/2023/12/27/yingluck-lawyer-explains-how-his-client-got-her-court-case-dismissed/amp/
  7. You're living in cloud cuckoo land if you believe Suthep and his mob blocking major roads willy nilly in Bangkok, wasn't backed by very influential forces. He even called for civil servants to report to him, not Yingluck, the PM, a treasonable offence. Yet he was never punished and indeed boasted about the plot to remove Yingluck You want empirical evidence. I guess someone should ask the courts to seize Suthep's phone to read the Line messages. Oh dear.

  9. I agree that the deaths in Koh Tao are suspicious. There aren't enough of them. With over 20,000 tourists plus per month, widespread boozing plus a few chemical additives, I'd expect a lot more to be dropping dead. What are the authorities doing right? Perhaps the buckets are watered down I think we should be told.
  10. Indeed. How long can Settha stand the humiliation?
  11. It's a very popular place. I'm surprised more don't die there with the excess boozing and nitrous oxide inhalations.
  12. Pheu Thai know full well that the implementation of their poorly disguised vote buying 10,000 baht gift is essential for their next election chances. If this is scuppered, so are they.
  13. I thought it was Thaksin, not Settha, who decides which Pheu Thai employee is promoted/ demoted. Silly me, should have known it was Settha all along.
  14. The thing is she's the chairwoman of the national committee for promoting Songkran. Back in February she proudly announced to promote Thailand's soft power, this year Songkran would run for 21 days. Hence confusion amongst many regarding days of water fights. And then she does a runner to Hong Kong! A bit like announcing your birthday party at home, then going abroad a day before.
  15. I reckon she forgot that Dad has come home. Or has he gone again?
