Instead of giving the hospitals 200% + profit i will wait to get mine thanks , already got an email from a hospital in Bangkok last month asking how many family i wanted to book for and immediately deleted it .

I can't agree. I am prepared to let private hospitals to make a profit, as long as I can get the most reliable and suitable vaccine. My and my family's health is worth it. I also allow good restaurants to make a profit if they offer me the dishes I like, so what's the difference?

The Hub of Hubs and wasted spending.  Nice idea, but take care of what is inside of your borders first instead of trying to line your corrupt pockets.

By creating opportunities like the one under consideration and examination (the Hub of Hubs, as you refer to it), you create a better way of greatly improving the "inside of your borders". If this project comes to fruition, it will make a great difference to the Thai economy and improve the life of the inhabitants of Thailand. So what is wrong with it????

  3. I just don't understand it all. I applied and got an online A/C, all I have to do is enter my A/C name and a Password. However, if I use a different PC, Laptop, or I-Pad, or if using the VPN, I am usually told a PIN is sent by SMS to my mobile, which I have to enter before opening my A/C.

The one thing you should never, never do is enter your PIN. Check with your bank!

Some banks will refuse to send overseas, especially if your address of record is back in the USA. What does your address on your account say ? That is where they will send the card.

In my case the card is sent to my account officer in my Bank in New York, who then forwards it to me in Chiang Mai by Currier

Thai cops struggling under debt totalling Bt270bn, says police chief

    By THE NATION

Thai police officers owe a total of Bt270 billion in debts, national police chief Suwat Jangyodsuk revealed on Friday.

Suwat told Thansettakij newspaper that around 209,000 officers had taken loans to support their family or to purchase large items such as cars or houses.

The police chief said he has asked Krungthai Bank and the Government Savings Bank to suspend debt payments.

He is also seeking ways of generating more revenue for his subordinates. One idea is to set up a market for police spouses to run businesses. Another is to look at assets confiscated by the Anti-Money Laundering Office.

He added that he has contacted corporations to request scholarships for police officers’ children.

Suwat also pledged to give a live internet broadcast explaining the police force’s mission and allow members of the public to question him in real time.

“I will not hide anything and am ready for all questions,” he said.

Quite frankly, what I hear about the salaries paid to Policemen, I am amazed. The people who are in charge of overseeing the laws abiding, are paid ridiculously low salaries. The way to assist the policemen (women) and make sure that they carry out their duties according to the laws of the Kingdom, is to make sure that they are properly paid salaries that enable them to enjoy a decent standard of living.

There are probably 300+ just on that one flight, thousands overall across many flights, I would say yes you will it will just take time to process.

They are as reliable as most reputable airways, such as LH, BA, Swiss etc. in view of the vast number  of refunds they are required to process it takes a few months. Patience, my friend.

Of course they have to charge for their services, I don't think anyone will dispute that, and of course they have their expenses, but after all their expenses are met, what would be their profit margin on coved tests be?

What I am saying is no one should be making a profit on these tests, the whole world is suffering through this, and we should all be in this together, not using it as an excuse to line certain pockets.

Your attitude is in theory laudable, but if we adopt it overall the same has to apply to online services, delivery services and the likes. As long as the charges are not exaggerated, all I can say is, that the way our world keeps on existing and most of the time we enjoy it. Right???

So most, if not all, private hospitals offer tests for payment?? Just how low can these people get? Using a pandemic to boost their profits, shame on them. I wonder what their markup on their tests really is, probably about 500%.

Although I have no idea what the markup on the tests is, I can‘t share your harsh criticism of the private hospitals. They are companies that have their expenses, they are not being subsidized by the tax payers and therefore have to charge for their services.

I've got 2 friends who were denied covid tests because they didn't fit the "model".  I guess they are short on tests.

    Both were quite sick.

I can't say anything about government or municipal hospitals testing, although I do know that one such hospital in Chiang Mai offers free testing to Thais, most, if not all, private hospitals offer tests for payment, which varies from one hospital to another.

all lives matter especially the paying customers i.e. the tourists and foreigners living here

I am pretty sure that when the PM refer to the Thai people, he means all people living in Thailand. When you hear other world leaders, they always only refer to their people by name without mentioning the many foreigners living in their countries. Listen to the PM of the UK, the President of the US and others, it's always the same. So why criticize only the Thai PM???

Who said this yesterday 'New wave of infections could be over by end of January'?

Only 20 more days to go.

One should never lose hope. Without hope for a positive development, we all may as well give up, and we surely don't want to end up doing it. So keep up hoping!
