What a mess and no sense to some who are not restricted such as hairdressers and swimming still allowed, that's just laughable.
what could be more enjoyable than swimming in a huge open sewer?

Like where exactly?
Italy, Uk, Spain?
This is not unique to Thailand and every country will do the same, Kid.
The level of ignorance and amount of "what about me" on this page after the same people complained that. not enough was being done.
This needs to happen.
i'm not a kid, Junior. and there are still places to go.

You wont have to worry to fly 20 hours just to get denied as they wont even let you board the plane unless you have those two requirements as the new mandate was sent to all airlines.
aha, i was unaware of that.

Incorrect! My Cigna coverage is fine, in fact they just sent me an advisory mail telling me I was covered.
i used to have cigna, here in california. i was scheduled for a knee replacement. cigna sent me a letter, saying that the facility where the surgery would be done was out of network, but that they would cover it anyway. so i had the surgery, it went well. the facility where it was done sent cigna a bill for 36,000 dollars. cigna said nope, not gonna pay it. they simply refused to pay. i had to pay several thousand dollars out of pocket for the surgeon and the anesthesiologist. fortunately, the facility with the 36K bill did not come after me for their money. they could have done so, legally. cigna are scumbags, i would not trust them for anything.

this will discourage many who are entertaining ideas of visiting thailand, like myself. it would be a shame to get all the necessaries, buy a ticket, fly 20 hours and arrive in bkk only to be told that some document doesn't have an i dotted or a t crossed.

as we all know, the forecasts of Thai officials are always amazingly accurate.

An abusive tirade deserves a chemical burn or two. You will not sustain any injuries if you just tell the ladyboys in a calm voice, "no thank you". Judging by the imbecilic, aggressive nature of your reply, you may be at risk of injury. Be careful or wear a chemical suit.
so, you were there, and know the details of this incident, is that what you're saying?

That bay is literally an open sewer, I know from painful experience.

In the realm of comedy, these guys continually outdo themselves. Well done.

a 20 baht fee, with the millions who come in and return, such a small stamp fee on their boarding pass,
no one will give it a thought after a week of leaving,
There's your renovation, insurance paid for, then you can play fair on entry for all parks for all peoples to be charged the same entry fee.
there already is a 700 baht departure fee built into your ticket when you buy it. clearly, that is not enough to satisfy the greedheads, so i doubt 20 would do the trick.

i can live with the fat baht and the smog. what prevents me from returning to thailand is being treated like a mark in any large city, the taxi and tuk tuk mafias, the contempt shown for foreigners. i'm also not too thrilled about foreigners being murdered, and then having it swept under the rug to protect their precious tourism dollars.

Have no fear; it will likely be only hours until Trump is back to bullying and bad-mouthing a teen-age girl.
Makes you proud, eh?
that is exactly correct. the only reason he changed his tune is because of how popular she is and the impact she is having. never fear, it won't be long before he loses control of his mouth as usual, and starts insulting and ridiculing her again.

Perhaps you can enlighten us as to the measures he proposes to do something, as opposed to being Chicken Little.
They have to be affordable, acceptable and doable.
perhaps you could do a bit of research on your own, and not try to inspire others to do it for you by ridiculing them. for my little bit, (and i realize it's microscopic in comparison to your glorious pronouncements) i ride my bicycle whenever possible rather than drive, this includes going to the grocery store, gym, etc, etc. i eat vegetarian over 50% of the time. i recycle everything humanly possible, and don't buy the newest, shiniest piece of <deleted> with its associated plastic packaging, so i can try to be fashionable. i use as little electricity as possible. like i said, this is all very minor i'm sure, to you. however, i would rather do something than nothing. and if a hundred million people began doing the same, i'm sure there would be a vast impact. however, i understand that's it's much easier, and much more fun, to ridicule those that are trying to do something, and sit around on a barstool making vitriolic remarks . and, i must admit , i was kind of expecting responses like yours, on this forum. i still felt the need to say something.

since the virus, i'm attending 1 or 2 NA meetings a day online, vs 1 or 2 a week in normal times. i kind of like the online meetings better. it's not that i'm antisocial, i like people very much. i just don't like being around them. In 9 days, I hope to have 29 years clean.
