  1. Some may argue a better quality of life than working for the man, and the tax man, for the best years of your life. Housing Commission areas, now known as Department of Housing I believe. Basically, slums. Single mother pensioners living with the father / boyfriend who's on the dole, who shouldn't be living there. Based on how many kids there are, they can bring in more welfare a fortnight into the house than someone who works. Not skewed at all. The "hand up" has become a "hand out" and many have chosen it as a lifestyle.
  2. We are not talking about people who have worked and accumulated assets. We are talking about people who have never worked, except for maybe some cash on the side, then reach retirement age, and can retire with a Thai girl, probably half their age. If you haven't accumulated any assets, there's no need for a pre-nup.
  3. Ever heard of Asia girls / families paying westerners to sign papers for PR / Citizenship. I'll bet that deal is quite attractive for someone on Centerlink, not to mention some bedroom action thrown in as well.
  4. They get subsidized housing. Are you saying the A Current Affairs video clip is fake?
  5. Wake up. You can even support your drug addiction on welfare, all the way to the aged pension. And there's still plenty of cash work around. You have no idea.
  6. And the funny thing is, these guys can't lose anything to divorce from the "my girl is different" because they own nothing and have nothing to take, unlike guys who have worked and have accumulated assets.
  7. You can be on welfare all your life in Australia, as a dole bludger, and then move to the aged pension. Go to Thailand, find a girl half your age, bring her back to Australia, live in subsidized accommodation, and she works, usually cash in hand. You have never worked a day in your life, but are now living like a rock star, who is married to a porn star, all on the tax payer's money.
  8. Never underestimate the value of Australian PR or Citizenship. How much did her family pay you for taking her to Australia so she could work?
  9. You can't receive both. See this link from a government website. https://www.dva.gov.au/get-support/financial-support/income-support/support-when-you-cannot-work/pensions/social-security-age-pension-overview#:~:text=You cannot receive an Age,related payments) from Services Australia.
  10. Really? More misinformation from you. https://www.dva.gov.au/get-support/financial-support/income-support/support-when-you-cannot-work/pensions/social-security-age-pension-overview#:~:text=You cannot receive an Age,related payments) from Services Australia. Age Pension and Service Pension You cannot receive an Age Pension as well as a Service Pension from DVA or any other Social Security Pension or benefit (except child-related payments) from Services Australia.
  11. If you get one of them, you can't qualify for the other one.
  12. Medicare number is also another method. They have many cross references at their disposal. Even passport numbers. Hint Hint.
  13. A TFN is only one of a few ways Centerlink can identify you. In any case, how do you propose to get around the immigration data base showing you are outside of Australia?
  14. They don't remove it, they deactivate it. It stays with you for life, no matter where you live. https://community.ato.gov.au/s/question/a0J9s0000001DBr/p00027010
  15. I'm not worrying about his private affairs. I couldn't care less. Just calling BS on him, and his posts. I have always said I have been getting away with it for years, as have many of my friends, and many on this thread. I have also said, it couldn't last forever. The time will soon be upon us whereby the government will close the 90 year old loopholes and they will finally be able to collect non resident tax from me, and many others. We should all have been paying it, for decades, but have got away with it due to loopholes. It's not my opinion. It is a fact. Here it is again. https://community.ato.gov.au/s/question/a0J9s0000002ngF/p00172380
  16. The veteran's pension is quite lucrative, as well as many other Gold Card benefits, including free medical with choice of doctor, for life. It is very different to the aged pension, hence, I am clling the member out to state on the record which pension he receives. The veteran's pension will still come under the proposed changes, if / when they pass, so that means Vets will lose more than those on the aged pension.
  17. Either way he goes, he'll be called out. If he says he's on an aged pension, how did he get veteran's accommodation? If he says a veterans pension, he didn't need to be in Australia for 2 years to gain portability for a veteran's pension. I couldn't care less how critical he is of me and my posts, but why BS about this on this thread?
  18. That is true, and I have never concealed this. I have stated on many occasions, I am not on an aged pension.
  19. The Seagate in the chart is a 12TB HDD. You are quoting WDC at 14TB and 16TB. The more TB, the less the overwrites. Comparing to the WDC 14TB, the Seagate 10TB has 19,677 HDD's installed, that the third highest amount in the chart. Geez, I wonder why this is? Could it be that they are decent drives? Your WD 14TB only 8,432 HDD's installed. Big difference. Your WDC 14TB only did 759,062 drive days. The Seagate did 1,763,868. That's a big difference. Weighing up all of the stats, and looking at the bigger picture, with your new glasses on, you will see the Seagate model I deploy is a decent HDD for the money. HDD's eventually fail, no matter what brand. You really need at least a 2 bay NVR / DVR for when whatever HDD you install fails. The chance of both failing at the exact same time is slim, unless there is a big electricity surge or similar.
  20. Could be Afghanistan or Iraq, but probably Vietnam. He refused to go on record as to which pension he is on.
  21. It's been pointed out that I have made many posts on this thread about this sub topic. That's because I believe it's the single biggest issue facing expats, including expat pensioners, in decades. Newbie post with a question, and I simply answer, rather then tell them to scroll back. Just a few days ago, scorecard didn't even know the non resdient tax bracket did not have a tax free threshold, despite it being previous discussed. I post the tax brackets for him, then Lacessit comes on with personal attack, which you "like" and he builds his reputation. It's been going on for hundreds of posts. Do I give a sh*t - no. Over many months I have been trolled and personally attacked, but the member most responsible for this s Lacessit. He has built his good AN reputation on the back of trolling me on this thread, yet offers ZERO links, information, or even opinions. He didn't help out scorecard with the non resident tax bracket. He just waited for me to do it then personally attacked me, and waited for "likes." Thus, his good AN reputation is worthless. I suggest he's only gotten away with it because I have never reported any post from anyone, and never will. So, was the posting of the non resident tax brackets "repetitive?" Should I have just told scorecard to scroll back? Should I have "insulted his intelligence" by telling him he is stupid because it's been discussed and answered before? What should be do when the next personal asks a question about the proposed changes, even though it's been answered pages ago?
