Ship some flood water from Bangkok only Bangkok to the rice farmers, problem solved...
Other than that during the REAL rainy season there will be plenty, PLENTY of rain coming to Thailand faster than those so called authorities expect,....
And the consequences,.....
Need I say more?
How do you ship the floodwater from Bangkok 2 or 300 km uphill? Lay hundreds of km of water piping, resurrecting Plodpsrasops propellors on boats scheme but pointing them the other way? How would you get the water past the dams?
If it was that simple do you not think it would have been done before?
Malaysia did it, it took time and patience but they did it, but getting Thailand to do this i don't think so as its hard enough getting the canals clean so water can flow, of course banning a second rice crop would have nothing to do with the millions of tons stored in warehouses all over the country as well as the drought,

Another joke by the TAT sports minister using words and phrases that she has no idea as to what they mean but she is a trier and she makes me laugh, but Not as good as Chalerm who was a source of so much amusement i do miss him lol
Just off the top of my head I would imagine the Thai sports minister is 4 times better educated at prestigious Western universities of higher learning than you?
Wanna bet?
She: Studies in Fine Arts, Wellesley College, US; degree in Architecture, Rhode Island School of Design. You: OK now your turn to list your education.I don't normally answer my own posts but I noticed Chupup has not come back with an answer to my question. I thought I'd list some other ladies that attended the same school as his maligned sports minister who also probably are using/used words and phrases that they have no idea as to what they mean too. Alumni of the same school are; Madame Chiang Kai Shek, Hillary Rodham Clinton and Lulu Chow Wang Founder and CEO of Tupelo Capital Management in New York. Donated $25 million to Wellesley College in 2000, the largest donation Wellesley College has ever received.
Kobkarn is the daughter of Dr. Korn Suriyasat and Thanpuying Niramol. Dr. Korn founded Toshiba Thailand, and the family owned 45% of the joint venture.
Kobkarn's mom, Thanpuying went to finishing school in Hong Kong, and then to Wellesley College (BA), and then MIT (MS). Evidently, she was both rich and smart. She was Vice Chair of the family business in 2002. (I think both parents are now deceased)
Kobkarn followed in mom's footsteps, and went first to Wellesley (as a "legacy', I assume), and then transferred to RISD. Can't say I blame her. Wellesley was an intense place. Upon returning with her BA, Kobarn went into the family business, and "worked her way up". She is now Chairperson, a position she essentially inherited.
I'm not sure what her qualifications are for the ministerial position; but she certainly is part of that "Bangkok Elite" people are always whining about.
Wow now that is impressive, did you Google it or was it "off the top of your head", i did not answer you as i along with others have more to do than study TV 24/7 as to my education, well that is my business, your statement :-" I'm not sure what her qualifications are for the ministerial position" says it all LOL

Well you can get pretty much anything in Thailand Knives, knuckle dusters and the like from market vendors, so i am pretty sure that if you were prepared to pay well, someone would get you a gun, just one point :- were the dissembled parts of the gun in the carry on bags or the bags in the baggage hold ?if the gun parts were in the carry on bags i would think this will be a big problem for these Students
-
Innocent !! with bits of a gun in their luggage <deleted> its a criminal offence and should be treated as such, oh i suppose someone ELSE put the bits in their luggage, do me a fng favor
-
,How on earth did they get the gun through security ? must be pretty lax there, why were the 4 released surly guilt by association applies here ? and you don't carry a gun unless you intend to use it or intimidate with it
-
Don,t mention anything just keep the cash coming in, as another poster said This Is Teflon Thailand Lol
-
Guess they will have to recycle whats left Lol
-
Cast iron arse covering just to make sure that YOU do not carry the can IF the sh t hits the fan this guy has it covered
-
It made the news, it was an example of what you will get if you are caught overpricing and has done what was expected, i was out all day yesterday shopping and the like and every vendor i saw was selling at 80 bht, when you think they were selling at 120 Bht it was a great scam 40bht + 9.4bht per ticket profit for them they just got to greedy and kept pushing their luck, job done, well done PM on to the next one

How childish can you get all this " i can get a new passport anywhere" and this from a supposedly serious person, nothing but petty and childish, grow up
-
Sorry about that but really " the master plan " please spare me
I do love a good laugh in the morning and TOT are sure to oblige LOL

They should do what KL did with the underground flood tunnels that when not in use for that double as traffic routes easing congestion on the roads.
Agreed but this is Thailand, lots of promises to sort things out, which are soon forgotten as soon as the rain stops as an aside isn't BKK sinking into the sea by a few MMs every year

The sale of tickets is supposed to be done by poor and disabled
is that a new stipulation along with the 80b price ceiling ?
No but it aught to be, ticket price is 7.40 bht a profit of 9.60 bht per ticket sold sell a 1000. and you are doing pretty good 9,600 bht every 15 days better than working and a lot more than others with skills.but think about selling at 120 per ticket 49,600 bht per 15 days, the mind boggles no wonder there are so many of them i am surprised they all don't have Rollers or Merces lol, oh they probably do
-
This guy should be recruited by the T O T to go along with the stupid tourist figures they pump out what an absolute load of <deleted>, if retailers sell at over 80 bht and get caught then revoke their bloody licence, and if 9.60 bht profit on one ticket is not enough ( 9,600 bht ) per 15days get out and find another job, most vendors only do it part time anyway, stop whinging you have had a pretty good run now its over live with it
-
The students knew the penalty for their actions yet did it anyway, now the time has come to pay the price and the whinging starts, if you can't do the time don't do the crime.......................simple

I watch the draw on TV and I just cannot understand all the rig marole they do, all different people turn the Handel and they pull out the ball. In the west on all logos all the balls are in a dome they bounce around like in a wind tunnel and a ball comes out showing the number, it takes couple minuets the Thai one takes a good hour, makes you think there is a setup going on. Would not surprise me if that was true.
For their 2x 2 numbers they could have a seperate roll and for the 3 numbers they could also have seperate rolls, would take about 10-15 minuets
The old saying "if something looks to good to be true it probably isn't " the Thai system looks like smoke & mirrors and i always thought it looked a bit iffy, but hey TIT
