An other story re-affirming my opinion and respect for the Thai people.
To those always complaining about the Thai people, I say
Get off your bar-stool, get out of (Don't want to pick of a particular place) , go out in the country and meet the real Thailand and Thais.
You don't think being threatened with being bunged in jail had any baring on this then?
More information please

Upon hearing the news about the attack on anti-government protesters, CAPO chief Chalerm immediately decided to reinforce the protection of the pro-government protesters!!!

It would be nice to see a positive verbal condemnation from Yingluck against these bombings and shootings. It might make some of us think she had the interests of Thailand at heart.
Yes i agree, but don't hold your breath

Doesn't anybody recognise that Thailand is a democracy and should be proud of that? Some may not like the government but you change it through the ballot box not with the gun.
I read so many things here about corruption etc., but is it really any different anywhere else?
I have arrived from the UK and are the politicians there squeaky clean? I think not judging by how many went to jail and many that should have gone to prison for blatantly fiddling their expenses.
Please excuse my ignorance in Thai politics but having only been here a couple of months it seems to me that one side cannot win an election legally so they resort to bringing down the government in non-constitutional ways.
That is not how a democracy works.
I don't know if Yingluck was good or bad, it depends who you talk too, but she did hold the prime office which should be respected. If Thailand doesn't want her put your cross somewhere else.
Thailand is a wonderful country full of so many good things it must find a way to solve this crisis legally and within its constitution not with threats and disruption.
You should do a little research , then read your own post again, as for UK MPs fiddling their expenses
they went to jail, here billions are fiddled and MPs walk

Are the pro-Govt lackeys still going to try to pretend this is all self-inflicted by PDRC? Or can we lay it to bed now that the pro-Govt supporters are attacking the anti-Govt supporters and have been doing so since this all started?
Sounds VERY much like the truth to me

The only one interested in violence right now is the gangster Suthep and he has no scruples of arranging this attack on his own people to further his cause while he is still trying to provoke a coup with violent attacks on his own people.
The other side would gain nothing with such an attack.
OMG, what absolute bloody rubish, Suthep would gain absolutly NOTHING, whearas "the other side" are known to have the means to have carried out this attack, and probaly did, i notice that it was AFTER 10 pm when the CAPO" protection" of the red shirts was withdrawn.

More "spitting the dummy" talk from the man who should be in jail to funny for words

If this meeting EVER happens, i fear for the future of Thailand and the Thai people, one thing for certain, anything to do with Taxin will come at a VERY high price and a HUGE loss of FACE.........
-
On the other hand, Chalerm said he believed that M79 grenade attacks on the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC), which he described as a mob of thugs, would persist.
But only AFTER 10 pm
While i think Chalerm is an idiot he is always good for a laugh

In a statement read by Tarit Pengdit, secretary of Capo, said that the Constitutional Court had already set a precedent when it ruled on the status of then prime minister Samak Sundaravej and only Samak lost his premiership while his cabinet continued to function.
Well, since this government is so horrible, it looks like the CC is going to set another precedent and remove the entire caretaker cabinet. Yingluck testified it wasn't her fault but that the cabinet made the decision. Damned them out of her own mouth..
Since Samak’s case and Ms Yingluck’s case are similar, the ruling by the charter court on the latter’s case should be in the same direction – that is the ruling is binding only to the prime minister, said Capo.
Perfect example of defective Thaksin logic; self-serving to the maximum.
Capo maintained that its warning to the court was not an act of interference in the court’s affairs but merely wanted to preempt possible unrest which may result from an unfair ruling.
Another example of PTP/UDD threats that they say are not threats. e.g. "Something terrible is going to happen to you if you don't do as I want you to do; but that is not a threat".
The CC court needs to issue a statement saying, "CAPO is not my father".
Typical Taxin thinking, If i go down you go down with me ( well done yingluck ) out of the mouths of babes ?

In a statement, Wilman said: "When we used the word "slope" in the recent Top Gear Burma special it was a light-hearted wordplay joke referencing both the build quality of the bridge and the local Asian man who was crossing it.
So there you go, from the producer himself - it was intentional wordplay referencing the race of the man on the bridge.
And on that note, can we please put this post to bed and move on zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Nobody in their right mind ever suggested it was anything else. The issue in fact is whether or not racist remarks are acceptable. If you are racist you might think they are.
Methinks you protest TO much
