does he not have to exit international,to pick flight up in domestic.??????
Can go through Transit gates within International to Domestic Terminal. Note though, if he has a longish wait stay in International longer , there is more to see, watch, drink & do. Domestic is limited for killing time
Bangkok airways has a nice lounge at domestic open to all BKKair passangers.
Free refreshments, internet etc.
Is he/she flying with Bangkok Air ?? must of missed that bit

People have tried 'live music' venues and all the put on is Colin Hill, most people that frequent that type of venue have heard him to death. The problem with Rawai/Nai Harn is national - lack of tourists. Even Patong is quiet, but there are crowds there and if a bar has a few bodies inside it creates and atmosphere which encourages more people into the bar. Again, not enough numbers in Rawai/Nai Harn, which is a shame cos there are some good bars there.
It doesnt matter if there are tourists or not there are plenty of expats, for a mid size venue the difference between a good night and a bad night can be 50 customers, I dont think its that big an ask for someone with time and a bit of dash (i dont have the time ), if they could get a regular gig with a half decent band 3 nights a week it would be great...put it this way if I had "the green man" it would be a perfect venue and Im sure they arent over run with customers at the moment. The Filipino bands down at Patong go allright....its just a shame they are so far away.
Sorry - I should of said people instead of tourists
I agree a change is as good as a rest and different type of music could be good, but if a bar finds a good angle then all the rest follow and it becomes too saturated again. Is freebird bar (inside) still having a Thai band every night ?
Hope I do not offend any one with my comments

82% positive reviews on TripAdvisor.
OP, just plug Palmyra Patong Resort TripAdvisor into Google search, or go direct to TripAdvisor for hotel reviews. I would've put the link here but can't remember if that's against Forum rules or not.
create the link and you will find out

Rawai to Phuket 1380 km's last month - loaded pick up & stopped overnight in Hau Hin,
Rawai to Phuket via Hua Hin must be the long long short-cut ...
I believe that would be a " taxi shortcut"

Oh, I usually head south from Phuket Town to get to Rawai, which is a the very south end of Phuket Island. Just read your post again, and correct.
Edit/// aaahh... the penny has dropped :jap:

Should do it before holiday - you do not lose any days for extending early, but could lose baht if done late !!!
-
Get dollars its cheaper than paying in Baht.
Can get dollars on Laos side !! - paid 1180 baht for $35 last week, if you pay in Bahts then 1500 or 1600 !!!

Well there is a real lack of entertainment this side of the island...might be the opening for a smart lad. Id like to see a good live music venue. Or a decent sports bar
a good live music venue with draft beer and JackD in Kata, I would spend more than 10k baht a month for sure

I have just sent the op a private message with a contact within the Hong Kong passport centre, but then I think, why shouldn't everyone have it - the british government have no problem making us use a premium rate telephone number so stuff them
This chap was helpful (unlike his employers)
Keep him busy

A visa we don’t hear much about but which might prove popular with those rich types that have retired and for whatever reason don’t qualify for or don’t want a retirement visa, is an “Investment Visa” (type IB or IM)
Basically, to qualify the applicant must prove that
a) they brought B10 000 000 (ten million) into the country
the money has been invested in one or a combination of
a) condo / apartment
fixed account in a Thai bank
c) government bonds
-
If they do make mistake & you not notice - It can be sorted at local immigration office - I assume that answers question
-
But you're a bit screwed if, like me, you've been here 10 years and have intention of going back to England in the near future.
My last passport in Bkk was a piece of cake..
Think cake has gone stale now
-
, I would recommend you apply for a multi entry tourist visa for starters,
Multi entry TR ???? Single Double or Triple - never heard of multi TR
-
Which immigration office ?? - can make a difference to the valid requirements

Post removed under forum rule ...
English is the only acceptable language, except within the Thai language forum, where of course using Thai is allowed. It was Thai - don't be so boring

From the UK In Hong Kong site;
"Please note that the passport being renewed will be electronically cancelled and is therefore not valid for use as a travel document from the moment you submit your application.
On receipt of your new passport, you must physically cancel your old passport by cutting the corners of the photo page and the front and back covers."
I never cut the corners off mine & can still travel on new one - I think if I tried to use old one then it might not work
-
Just did exactly this - 2 weeks for mine there and back and 962 baht to the local DHL office for the two way service.
I am travelling to the UK in a couple of weeks and hope to "stamp out" at Swampy with my old passport (even though it has been cancelled) as this is the one with my last 90 day stamp in it and the white immigration slip. Then, if that works out OK I'll get a new non-imm visa on the first page of my new (48 page) passport.
Cheers,
Pikey.
I think they will only stamp you out in your live passport, your old one will of been cancelled when you new one was processed
Opening A Bank Account In Udon Thani/Nong Kai Areas

It mostly depends on the type of visa you are on - most Thai banks prefer an Non O, Non B Visa to open account, but Kasikorn (Green Bank) seem to be happy with Tourist Visa in most places. If you are moving to that area and have friends there ask them to check for you. If no friends (!!) I have more than 1 (just), can try and find out for you
