  1. You should bother, because if they feel inclined to claim their deposit, the water authority can and will take the water meter away, once the owner reclaims the deposit and puts an end to the contract, regardless of whom is staying on the premises. The same goes for electric meters and phone lines.

  2. From Pattaya, it took us about 3 hrs with fuel stops and coffee breaks. The road is good and after Rayong, it becomes quite an enjoyable ride. The most dangerous part of the journey is on the island going up the hairpin turns, where drivers do not know how to downshift and go uphill.

  3. I have a blue "Bully" and she is a big softie and always plays with my other dog which is a 5 kilo jack-rat. I lost my rott of 9 yrs a few months back and never had a problem. The key to a well behaved and healthy dog is socialisation, discipline, care and love. Unfortunately these dogs can fall into the wrong hands and this is when accidents happen.

  4. I brought in a couple of Strats' as carry on from Europe. No problems. I brought a new Goldtop Les Paul from Singapore, no problems. I bought a New Marshall halfstack from Second Music behind Lucky Music on Ploenchit rd. for about 20% less then the official Marshall dealership in Thailand. I have seen a few cabs(Marshall) second hand and I believe a new one will cost you approximately 30,000 baht...I have a Fender '59 Bassman ltd(re-issue) for sale, mint condition. If I was you, I would bring in the head and buy a second hand cab from Lucky or anywhere. At the worst get one made with similar wood and custom grill and vynil and use the same speakers (celestion) or greenbacks.

  5. Thailand is not getting cheaper! If you want to be covered for medical and accident insurance budget for that as well. Visa runs and the appropriate visas will be an expense as well. Do you really want to live in such a great place and be confined to a studio room watching thai tv and drinking a leo, if so....ok. Although you might go with the best of intentions, more expenses will creep in and you will find that 40k/month doesn't get you far ahead of the game, especially if you are not working and you have a lot of free time.

  6. Mate, JD pools are not cheap and without footings. Flexible to ground movement....very dubious about that. As stated before it needs just as much maintenance, if not more. I would be very weary of these oversized, overpriced bathtubs. Yes, the easy installation might appeal to some but then again easy come easy go! To me they look cheap...in quality only.
