I know one shop along Thepprasit Road between Tesco and the Outlet Village. It's on the South side of Thepprasit.
-
Arrived in Pattaya 6 p.m. and took the railway by-pass.
Followed the by-pass until after the junction with Khao Talo and headed for Sukhumvit.
On Sukhumvit took the first U-turn back to Pattaya.
Passed Thepprasit and took the back road to Soi Korpai.
Picked up the family on Soi Korpai and took the back road direction Sukhumvit;
turned right at the T-junction and took the 2nd Soi on the left.
Made it back home at 6:50 p.m........not bad at all.

Same happened to me last week in Chiang Mai.......on Wednesday heavy rain for at least 5 hours and very cold.
Of course there are always daft people who can't stop so I wouldn't take the risk.
-
Have been to the North. Apart from Chiang Mai no farang to be seen and ONLY Thais with pumps, high pressure water pistols..............what now ESPECIALLY FARANGS?
-
In Chiang Mai and Hang Dong loads of rain today...........
Yesterday in Phayo, Ngao and all the villages up to Chiang Mai...........fools with water.

Or do you mean the Austrian Consul.
I know that several nationalities are doing their income-thing there.
They're opposite the Yensabai Condotel in Soi Yensabai.

i have an airblade, they are a very good bike and has given good service but recently bought a Suzuki Hiyate Type S to replace it
frankly its a much better bike and at around 50,000 all in, its a real bargain

Hear ,hear........Suz Hyate, a great bike and the latest version Type S has a 125 cc injection.
Initially I was looking for an Airblade or a PCS but after taking note of the prices (+30%, compared to 2 years ago), I decided to go for the Hyate.
THB 56,000 including 2 year theft-insurance, registration, tax and govt-insurance one year, 2 helmets and a jacket.
What is the space under the seat like?
Also one of the high points for me on the Airblade is the dual brake system, does the Suzuki have similar?
Space under the seat can contain a helmet (similar to Airblade).
Dual Brake system..........or: "One of the newest safety futures is the installed Combi-Brake technology distributes braking power between the front and rear wheels when only the left brake lever is activated. The motorcycle comes to a stop within a shorter distance with both wheels handling the braking. Additional, the Honda Air Blade is equipped with a Parking Brake system which works in the same way as a car's hand brake."
As far as I know, the Suz Hyate doesn't have a hand-brake and no such thing as a Combi-Brake system, but you'll save THB 20,000 on the purchase.

Apart from that, Papa David II on Soi Khao Talo was open yesterday afternoon.
It was open tonight too
Both restaurants, Soi Khao Talo and near the Hanuman Statue (Jomtien) were open this afternoon.

Terry, THIS is the moment to pack your bags and go somewhere else.
This is the moment to get rid of a possible addiction to Pattaya.
See it as a God's gift.

ANTON on Naklua road is good, havent eaten there in a long time since it is far from my hangouts but nice buffet
I like the one on Pattaya Tai near beach road, directly across from Bamboo, not sure but maybe called Berlin. I eat there a couple of nights a week, really good and reasonably priced. They even have an english curry dish with chicken and green apples which is really good. Thai food good too
Some German people told me that Domicel is really good
Domicil IS good and 24/24 open.
It's located on 2nd Road between Soi 7 and 8 (near Central)
Regarding German food and entertainment: Stroll a bit through Naklua Sois 31 - 33 and you'll find what you need.

Actually the idea is to get your Cambodian e-visa online. E-visas are only acceptable at Aranyaprathet and Trat land border crossing. Last time I got it I drove to Arnyaprathet myself, but it is tiring, especially if one wants to do it in one day. I just wonder how comfortable it is to travel by van. Is it usually full?
The visa-service I use, places 6 people in a mini-van.
The mini-van is equipped with comfortable seats, DVD-system and a reasonable driver.
Breakfast is served from 6 a.m. at the meeting-point.
Bus leaves at 6:45 a.m.
Time at the border is around 30-60 minutes.
ETR is 3-4 p.m.
The price of THB 2500 (or THB 2300 for early bookers) includes:
- paperwork (take care of 2 pass photo's)
- breakfast (choose from 4 varieties)
- visa-trip Pattaya - Baan Laem v.v. with a max. of 6 people in the van
- assistance at the border
- lunch at the border
- water during the trip
- NON-smoking trip but there several stops
- free drink upon return to the meeting point
Yes, it can be done cheaper, but it is like booking an air-ticket...........once flown with a certain airliner, you'd like to stick with it. (the association with the flying has nothing to do with the driving speed )

Top of Soi Khao Talo: Especially the foreign channels are crap.
A little loss of quality can be dealt with, but this is just crap.
Watching BTV.
-
Oh my,
THB 250 x 2 = THB 500
USD 20 x 1 + THB 600
Compared to 5-star visa runs:
Breakfast: THB 100
Lunch: THB 100
Free drink upon return: THB 65
It's THB 1365 against the THB 2500 or THB 2300.
other cons: You have to take care your own Cambodian visa and there is no assistance at the border.
I know, I know, it's more than THB 1000 saved, but ..............

That's the typical problem with (Thai) building owners in Pattaya.
After the first lease period the rent increases skyhigh.......the tenant will move out and a new place nearby.
The building will remain empty for some time and a new tenant will rent the building at the same rate as what the old tenant paid.
Apart from the ridiculous rent it also may be the exorbitant keymoney that causes problems.
Apart from that, Papa David II on Soi Khao Talo was open yesterday afternoon.

I see all these posts from people traveling to Thailand from all over the world and then don't want to spend $30 on a taxi ride to their final hotel destination - peculiar.........
JH
Oh JH, every single baht that can be saved, will be spent on local "charity".

Even the Pattaya International Music Festival doesn't seem to attract more tourists compared to previous years.
Traffic on Friday 18-3-2011 West of Sukhumvit was flowing better than usual.
-
Yesterday, 18-3-2011 at 6 p.m.
Horrendous traffic at Soi Khao Talo.
Around the rail way tracks the traffic was almost at a stand still...............
Where was the f*cking copper??

Was stopped by this guy a few weeks ago.
Was driving my brand new Suzuki Hyate, which I bought the day before.
I was stopped and he asked immediately for my work permit...........(?).
Work permit? For what? Mai mee work permit!! Mee Non-B visa.
Huhhhhh........he looked puzzled......didn't understand the non-B.
Then he asked for my international driving license....................yoo baan.
Insulance?..............mai mee................is new motorbike........receipt yoo baan.
Passport? .........mee.......yoo baan...........!
I told him that I bought the bike just the day before and for whatever reason he said......."Ok, go!!"

We've seen a lot of succesful business closing over the last years.
Several reasons, from mis-management, lack of marketing, increasing prices, decreasing quality.
Another important reason can be: drastic increase of rent and key-money on renewel of the 3 or 6 year rent.
A typical Thai way of doing business is to increase the rent with 100-s of percent and double the key-money as soon as they see that the business is a succes.
Just hope that that's the reason for Kohinoor to postpone their business and that they open up elsewhere.

There are around 15 Mityon Shops in Pattaya.

Have had 3BB for more than 1 year. Really good... nearly no problems.
Oh absolutely, once connected, there is hardly a problem, but before I get to that stage.........
BTW 3BB has a Facebook fan page..............can be used to complain (unoffically of course):
