I nearly died from a bacterial infection, and a specialist in Houston was clueless. I accidentally got cured. The best specialists in BKK couldn't cure me of a flesh-eating bacteria, so I moved to Chiang Mai to be operated on with success. There are a lot of unknowns in medicine.

Outside San Kamphaeng - no complaints.

Thailand is not Bangkok or Pattaya. I never got an undeserved ticket, in Thailand. But I had all my six babies in the West, raised them, earned a pension, and retired here. I may never go back.

There are a few fairly good English programs out there. But they are few and far between, and they are managed by Thai's who don't know a hod carrier from a teacher.

You don't have in answer question in Thailand.

Red stands for Thaksin. Time to rally behind some one else.

Here I am - at home among the rice paddies. Thanks to all the well wishers.

The certain death of the carbureted CBR150R is still yet exaggerated.
PB: On 2008-05-16 wrote, “I wanted to wait for the naked 250 Honda sportbike, but I feared that, like the Ninja 250RRR and the Boxer 250-no R and the Yamaha 150 sportbike, we might have to wait until the end of the Mayan long count calendar.” Which is 2012-12-21
oMega 69 replied “i just read other thread that there will be no 2009 CBR 150 R . . so they are cancel this model then. . . And for sure ther will not be any FI version.
Hopefully there is coming some new options then.”
Dave boo, 2008-6-13 “here's been certain someones who have been trumpeting the fact that Honda was going to start selling the CBF(X)-250. And also that Kawasaki was going to drop the Ninja 250 on the Thai market. Obviously neither of those predictions have come true yet. Seems most of the timelines have involved late 2008.”

At the top of the screen are options like File Edit View History. Periodically, I highlight my entire post in the white box and copy it. Then add more comments or send. Thanks to all for your comments!
What do you mean by that?Or, I save it on the edit bar at the top of my browser.welo

I tutored about 5 family members from Grace - students or parents. They were all Christian missionary types, all S. Koreans.

Typing in the fast reply box might help. When I lose my draft post, recalling the thread used to restore my draft. Or, I save it on the edit bar at the top of my browser.

The first 4-door Porsche, IIRC, was made in the USA for the importer in Texas, in the 1960's.

Granted, for long trips, bigger (a true 250 or above) is better.

Agreed - at the risk of sounding elitist, I mainly hung out with educated people, church goers, ladies and gentlemen. Which may explain why I fit in here without speaking the language. And frankly -- although I can only speak for the U.S. and not Australia -- the idea that it is "widespread" is up for debate. I think it rather depends on who you hang around with and where you hang out. The group I worked with and hung out with in the States...not sure I can ever remember one of them giving anyone the finger, although we certainly saw it done. -
Aww, shucks.

My visa is never for more than a year. It does not say Thai citizen, immigrated, migrating, etc. Doesn't even say retired. Expatriate in the broader sense means I live outside my country. Yes, I'm a guest; surely not khon Thai.

Nontaburi project: can't recall hearing good news about it.

Warfare puts a 20-year dent in population growth. In 20th century, it happened twice to Germany.
Modern warfare murders 8 noncombatants for every soldier killed.

A 4-door sports car? A pick-up truck sports car. A garbage truck sports car....

Beware of ESL textbooks being used here. Inappropriate. Deng from VietNam and Maria from Mexico get driving licenses in Kansas, and buy dog food at Safeway for Toto....

You're not in Kansas any move. Before 2008, there were only legal bikes of over 200 cc, costing over half a million baht for sale.
