  1. I have used Bangkok Translations a few times. Thai to English.

The price is right, the product is good and correct.

From personal experience I recommend them.

888.1st floor Unit 13, Mathatun Plaza Building, Ploenchit Road Lumpini,

    Ph: 0898846482

That is their address, but just get off the BTS at Ploenchit on the left side heading to siam and they are in an office on the right side of plaza.

  2. Do it your self, it just means a few days on the BTS and taxis.

I used Bangkok translations, they are near chitlom bts station.

The translations will need to authenticated by government office which it way out past the IT mall.

BTS to mochit then taxi. Authentication can be quick or a few days depending on whether you want to pay an extra 1000 baht (approx.)

Bangkok translations will take care of the authentication for a fee.

I wrote a pdf document a few years on how an Australian get married in Thailand and all the paperwork required.

Let me know if you want it.

  3. Anyone know the thai gov department that issues a birth certificate and if it has a web site.

I know a certificate can be got in person from the amphur in the province where the person was born,

but we want to try online first, save a trip out into the jungle and try and get a birth certificate online or by post.

  4. Most of the bars in Bangkok will give you a fist full of silver instead of notes, presumably so you will leave it there as a tip.

But I never leave it as I use the BTS everyday and the coins are perfect for a ticket machine.

Hillary bars in Sukhumvit soi 4 are notorious for coins in change.

I have seen trolleys loaded with coin money boxes being taken into Hillary 4 bar while I was sitting in the golden bar..

Last time I was in Hillary 2 I scooped up my change about 4o baht and the bar girl picked up the tray and looked into it like a mirror.

I now avoid Hillary bars like a plague. (The girls are not so nice anyway in all Hillary bars)

I was in a bar further down the soi, melodies I think, and I had 20 baht coming in change and I was given a 20 baht note in the tray.

I was astounded as I had not been in that bar for years, I asked why a note and the girl said "to many farang complain about the coins, so we give notes".

I was impressed so I left the note just to be polite for their honestly.

  5. Thanks that what I thought.

When using Her thai passport to travel to au, many times, airlines have never asked for a visa, her permanent au visa must be electronically recorded in the thai passport as they don't paste in a paper visa anymore.

Australia don't even stamp my passport or hers when we leave or arrive.

  6. My thai wife will soon have an Australian citizenship and passport as well as her thai passport.

When travelling out of Australia to Thailand which passport should be used to leave au.? au or thai? or either?

I presume she could use either, just not to sure.

If she used au passport to leave au. could she use the thai passport to enter the kingdom, ?

if so then a visa would not be needed to enter Thailand.

    any help please?
