Good luck sadly the waiting time is a lot higher than it was in March. Ours took 7 weeks and that was expediting it. We put in 28th march and if it wasn't for a letter from my grandmothers doctor we would still be waiting.

Tigerjohn is still waiting from 15th March I think when he gets his will b the current benchmark everyone can look at.

well done english, eve are ok, i thought after fone interview we might have heard today but usual wait again lol, waleelak on lady inter is also in same boat she put in for her 2 boys on the 16th and had interview but waiting same as us so im not too worried at the moment, its just a pain watching all good flight deals dissapear before my eyes, i dont know weather to jump in and book or just wait a few more days, but its been a few more days for god knows how long now lol,

I understand that mate I saw our flights change from £280 to what I decided was an ok nearly £400 for a one way With her being preggers I thought one quick 13hr stint was worth the £40 extra each as we'd spend most of that in Delhi on Indian delights and beer anyway :-)

Thanks everyone flights are booked we managed to get a good 1 way with Eva so Direct which is handy for £380 each. Better to pay the extra £40 each saves messing around in Delhi.

thankyou english i too think i have a valid point? however we ourselves got good news this morning when my wife phoned to talk to the kids her mum told her the embassy called and spoke with her about the kids so hopefully the norm is to get an answer a couple or so days after the phone interview so fingers crossed we are going to get a reply very soon now, also my wifes friend on ladyinter who put in for her kids on the 16th got the same phone call, so at last hopefully for all of us waiting on here things are at last starting to move again,

7by7 - We understand that but John raised a Valid point how the queues jumped so high so quick after a member got his in 3 weeks then it seems it goes to 8 weeks plus almost overnight. There seemed to be no gradual rise, I'm sure the fee increase had little impact as we'd have applied when we did whether there was an increase before or after. Although a pain to pay so much it is neglible in the grand scheme of things for us and most other people.

An alternative to PP in Thailand is to have an account established in a Western country - if you wish to have a Merchant account for your website - PP won't give you one if you are in Thailand! <br>Of course you could have people order via email and send you funds via PP. Thats not true I have a Paypal acct linked and verified as a business account to my Kasikorn Virtual Debit Card and my Kasikorn Account. My clients pay me in Baht I withdraw in Baht no problem.

When the account was new I had 5 or 6 blockages but once I'd answered all their questions and provided the proof they were after all was okay. It was all done by email and with same day (within 24 hour) replies.

I am looking to set up a second Paypal acct as I run 2 different businesses and I want them to have their own identity.

It's the seperating of families thats the hard thing.

Apparently your not supposed to but he did and got it put through. They are actually quite friendly when you speak to them if there is a Valid reason I think they will do their best.

Spoke to a mate yesterday his gf's took 8 weeks and 2 polite phone calls and was granted last week.

We have managed to get our application expediated as my grandmother is back in Hospital and I need to go back to help take care of her.

I sent a Doctors letter Thursday night and spoke to the Embassy just now and they said we will get an answer within 2-3 days.

She couldn't say if it would be granted or not just it will take 2-3 days before the passport is returned to VFS.

Fingers crossed for a positive outcome, the only Concern I have is I have £300K in Forex trading and I don't declare to the tax authorities as Forex earnings are non taxable in the UK same as Betting earnings. Although I sent statements they are internet statements however the withdrawals match my bank statements which I have highlighted for them to see. My wife also has £4,000 in savings herself anyway.

Other than that our application should be pretty straightforward. I am so nervous I am hardly sleeping at the moment. I need to get back but it'll be cruel for me to leave my pregnant wife in Thailand and I put that on the email to the Embassy.

Many 'foreigners' in Europe and US make good money in property/land and I say if they work hard good luck to them.

There are distressed sales about a friend and I went halves on a 2 Bedroom house in Pattaya for 800K last year (We bought from an Australian so don't worry aridion we didn't fleece a Thai). We net a rental income of 9% a year not great but it's positive cashflow we have around 25% market equity in the property and a good Thai family happy to spend the rest of their lives there taking good care of the property.

This is good news my 1yr Licences Expire Mid Aug I'll be going to England for 4 months so will be back End of Sept. I was going to get the wife to ring the test centre to see about my licence. Now I don't need to bother, I can have my 5 yr in Sept.

Although technically you can use your UK licence here for 6 months. Try explaining that to Plod on the street here.

I suggest everyone coming here has an International Permit and if here for a longer stay has a Thai licence.

I have both Car and Bike in Thailand and the fines have stopped.

Looks like we are stuck with 2G for the foreseeable. Just been on the True site and on the Time Packages you get a Max of 15 hours 3G a month.

If I have a 3G sim I want it whenever it is available not when they decide I can use it.
