Why do posters have to knock Thailand? Far worse offences than this are committed on children in the west and, would you believe, by westerners!! No, as far as i am aware you need the original documents which you won't get with a hire car - also look at the practicalities, some westerner want's to go home but has no money - simple, rent a car, drive it over the border and catch a plane! If you look in most hire agreements it states that the vehicle can not be taken across any International border

Everything has increased since the wage hike, a local (large restaurant) re-wrote it's menu and increased the price of most things by 25% .... then, when it came to increasing staff salary they classed them all as part-time and left it as it was!

Another 'White Lie' from the Puea Thai government. Every statistic says the World is awash in surplus rice, the government will have to admit their financial losses if they sell at market prices, and the rice in storage is of questionable quality. Who does she think will believe her? Certainly no one in the rice trade.

I was at a Vietnamese temple last weekend.. They are having a good laugh on Thailand vis a vis rice. And yes, if they dumped all the rice they have stored up at 1/2 price, they would again be the #1 rice exporter, but in volume. They would lose their shirts, but hey, we're #1.

These types of scams are all over Thailand. They have another one that works in the same way where everyone pools their money so that when one of them needs a loan, they have it, and everyone earns a percentage on the return. So they sucker a few people into giving them money and vanish. Police are often in on the scam and "guarantee" the people asking for the money. I've known a few who have fallen victim to this, and the dummies keep falling for it over, and over and over again.

Wrong, they are all over the world, idiots trying to get money that the owners have worked hard for!

And here you are mistaken, very much mistaken. The way you do things makes a great difference. I am an expert at ALS, if I teach someone how to do this they will produce much better results with any students. Thai, Japanese, Chinese or any other nationality.
