  1. I think the game is to force paper recounts in enough states that if they miss the Dec 19th electoral college deadline and thus reduce Trumps vote to less than that required for a majority. In truth it's a squalid little ploy that can only further tarnish democracy.

In the very unlikely event they 'find' enough votes to change the outcome I'm almost certain the same will apply to the other two states.

So draining the swamp now means draining the Democrats? All corrupt Republicans can stay?

I would hope not. Though I would expect Trump to keep relatively quiet until 20th Jan I expect he already has a plan of action. Taking out the rotten apples in the Republican basket is just as important if not more so due to their potential to sabotage his agenda.

  3.

Says who?  Here's the actual definition.

"Reverse racism is a phenomenon in which discrimination, sometimes officially sanctioned, against a dominant or formerly dominant racial or other group representative of the majority in a particular society takes place, for a variety of reasons, often initially as an attempt at redressing past wrongs."

Someone has gone to a lot of trouble in defining something you alleged does not exist.
    :wai:

Indeed reverse racism aided and abetted by self-flagellation from white leftists has undergone a renaissance under the current Potus. Given four more years of the same nonsense the U.S would become a larger version of suicidal European nations such as Germany or Sweden.

From your link...Obama was responding to the question below which did not reference violence, so why would he tell people to stop protesting, it's a legal right for non violent protest.

"You’ve spoken a great deal about what you’ve characterized as kind of a crude form of nationalism perhaps on the rise. I’m wondering if you would advise some of those protesters at home to stop demonstrating against some of the charged rhetoric that has been used by Donald Trump?"

I would have thought that anyone not living inside a bubble would realize violence comes with the territory when liberals protest the result of a democratic election.

  5. Obama whilst visiting Germany was asked whether he would advise the protesters to stop. His answer was to waffle but basically it was 'no'.

"I would not advise people who feel strongly or are concerned about some of the issues that have been raised during the course of the campaign. I wouldn’t advise them to be silent. What I would advise, what I advised before the election, and what I will continue to advise after the election, is that elections matter; voting matters; organizing matters; being informed on the issues matter."

  6.  In your opinion. That doesn't mean your opinion reflects the reality.
I watched his campaign closely. It WAS about all those things.
Now elected, he picks a man who ran a white supremacist, Islamophobic, misogynistic, antisemitic, and homophobic website to be his MOST IMPORTANT adviser ... there in the oval office with him when he makes all important decisions.

Again, this is not to assert that all trump voters are racists, etc. HOWEVER, they all did support a campaign based on all those forms of disgusting hatred.

"Donald Trump ran a campaign of racist demagoguery against Muslim Americans, Hispanic immigrants, and black protesters. He indulged the worst instincts of the American psyche and winked to the stream of white nationalists and anti-Semites who backed his bid for the White House. Millions of Americans voted for this campaign, thus elevating white nationalism and white reaction to the Oval Office.
    ...
Millions of Americans are justifiably afraid of what they’ll face under a Trump administration. If any group demands our support and sympathy, it’s these people, not the Americans who backed Trump and his threat of state-sanctioned violence against Hispanic immigrants and Muslim Americans. All the solicitude, outrage, and moral telepathy being deployed in defense of Trump supporters—who voted for a racist who promised racist outcomes—is perverse, bordering on abhorrent."

You are going to love the two front runners for Secretary of State then. John Bolton and Rudi Giuliani. 555

  7. I've really never considered myself presidential timber and also considering all the dirt in my past (including my posts here) it could never happen. But ... no time in my life have I seriously felt that I was more qualified to be president than the actual president. It scares me to think that right now ... I definitely am.

Others, I ask you to consider that. Look at that man. Don't you think you're more qualified?

Really, American dreamers, if trump can be president, ANYONE can! (Borrowed from the Daily Show.)

You see Trump is a genius, he makes people believe in themselves. Anyway for the next four years you can console yourself with the fact Israel will have no interference unlike with Obama. I bet Netanyahu thinks he's hit the jackpot.

  8. Soros-Funded Orgs Behind Violent Anti-Trump Protests Across America

Washington CAN! is a far left group leading the protests against Donald Trump in Seattle.

The far left group is paying protesters to attend their rally.
Here is one of their ads on Craigslist.

Soros-funded groups are behind many of these violent demonstrations.
    Russia Today reported:

Some of the anti-Trump protests in the US have been organized by groups that were sponsored by Clinton sympathizer and billionaire George Soros.

Among Wikileaks’ Podesta emails was a strategy document involving the Soros-supported MoveOn.org and grassroots organizing and funding.

MoveOn.org issued a press release on Wednesday afternoon about the protests where they wrote “hundreds of Americans, dozens of organizations to gather peacefully outside the White House and in cities and towns nationwide to take a continued stand against misogyny, racism, Islamophobia, and xenophobia.”

Even Ronald Maximus didn''t have to deal with all these commies and evil-doers! [emoji185]

Surely far more efficient than tackling the rioters just cut the head of the snake and prosecute whoever is funding them.

  9. If it's not been mentioned here previously there is a change.org petition calling for the electoral college to select the president based on the candidate who received the greatest total number of votes thus disregarding those allocated by the state electoral college votes.

I would put nothing past the Dems, even if such an unprecedented turn of events were to lead to civil war.

  10. I am OK with the electoral college system although after the Bush vs Gore fiasco, I had to think about that. As long as everyone knows the rules going in, it's fair enough and does have the advantage of small states getting any attention at all. Instead, they get TOO much attention, but no scheme is perfect.
That said, in cases where a candidate WINS the popular vote and loses the election by electoral college, I do think it is very LEGIT for the losing side to aggressively assert that the winner did NOT win a mandate, and thus to unify the nation, NEEDS to offer more compromise that they might have wanted. That's what's happening now, and it's totally legit. I don't think trump will respond to that, but it's worth trying.

If you look at things objectively Trump is actually to the left of Clinton on some issues.
