Before you turn on your smug supercilious mode I suggest you look at the prison statistics for just about every developed nation, you will then see Muslim culture enrichers are almost invariably hugely over represented.Thai visas finest debating integration. Typing from Thailand. Oh the irony.
Simple solution about not integrating, let's stick them all on the australian equivalent of a temporary visa. According to some erstwhile posters here that is the reason why they don't need to integrate into LOS. They aren't permanent. They are expats!
What is good for the goose is good for the gander, right fellas?
Comparing us to the lowest bottom feeders of the human race is not going to get you very far. We leave and take our companies, toys, corporations and money, and Thailand goes back to the stone age. They leave our countries and we rise back to greatness. We are here because we can do it at our convenience. They are there because our governments pay for them to be there and in turn destroys our futures, traditions, values, cultures, etc. and drives the intelligent ones to places like this, where we aren't bothered that much. We do not stir up trouble in the proportions they stir up trouble.
Big differences here, Chief! Your logic concerns me very much.

Oh the Irony, the dead in the Yemeni Mosque were in the middle,of chanting death to America, death to Israel when they met the grim reaper at the hands of their co-religionists.

They are allowed to come partly because due to lifestyle choices of modern developed nations the birthrate has fallen below levels needed to maintain the population. This in itself is a problem, which is made infinitely worse by Neo-Keynesian economics. In a nutshell the economy is prevented from collapsing by ever increasing quantities of credit (read debt), hence an increasing population is vital to service this debt. Now the one thing which baffles me is why not encourage immigration from places such as China, India and the Philippines which don't bring the problems Muslims invariably seem to? That is the 64k question.I've got strong feelings on this, so, I hope people will bear with me and hear me out. I will be honest, and I trust I can state things with the same impunity that all the so-called minorities can state things, and not get "special attention and focus":
Would the definition of Cultural Marxism, perhaps, explain a bit of what's going on?
The gradual process of destroying all traditions, languages, religions, individuality, government, family, law and order in order to re-assemble society in the future as a communist utopia. This utopia will have no notion of gender, traditions, morality, god or even family or the state. The Philosophy was proven not to Work already by Vladimir Lenin as he tried in vein to control and subjugate the people. He admitted before he died that capitalism was the only true system in which people understand how to live with each other.... Lenin knew that there were a few western Idiots who kept spreading the communist ideas long after Lenin gave up.... he called these people useful idiots as they had more emotion than brains and could be used to subvert the western states for a military takeover in the future as the citizens would already be perverted and sick and weak from poisonous ideas, decadent lusts and mindless entertainment.
cultural marxism: "everything is relative man".... "there is no truth".... "reality is what we make of it".... smoke dope and drop out dude!!! .... we don't need money... cops are violent pigs (especially the white ones). Women are smarter and betteer than men, all men are rapists. "get in touch with your feelings".... "if it feels good then do it"... "she so empowered!!... you go girl!!"... "there is no god"... "Let's burn the bible" "don't criticize islam!!"... "you're a bigot" "a homophobe" "you're an agist classist pig"..... "think globally act locally".... "save the whales.. the trees... the poor african kids!!".... "drop out of school and rebell against your parents".... "Dad's are scum.... mum's are cool".... "go vegetarian" "the ufo's are comming!!" .... "don't teach kids math's and reading!!!!!..... you elitist pig!!!.... they need to learn to build a veggie patch and learn to recycle and wear gender nuetral clothes!!!" "we can all eat other's cuisines and enjoy each others religions from every nation in one smelting pot of peoples and get along together and intermarry"
There really is no reason to allow all of these cultures to come to predominantly white, developed countries for no other reason than what is suggested above. I mean, why are they even allowed to come anyway? If people believe in the tin-foilhat idea that white countries must save the world, then they are sorely mistaken. Why is the focus of all of this multi-culturalism being aimed at white, developed nations only? Why does all of Asia get away with not allowing it? Why does Israel - as an excellent example - get away with not allowing mass immigration (legally or illegally), and moreover send them back, put them in prison-like detention centers, or have the government intentionally spark race riots and fuel racial attacks "...so commonplace that they rarely merit any mention in the media, but by North American standards, any one of these incidents would be considered scandalous."
The thing is, at some point in the future, white people are going to have to decide if they want their future generations to be brown and fit the description in the first two paragraphs. Now this may be offensive to some, but then I consider people like that no different than the bouncer who did not want to listen to Mr. Pendlebury, and was going to bash Mark's head in no matter what. What I mean is, multi-culturalism is being used as the bludgeon, to beat predominantly white, developed countries with the anti racism agenda. I am white, and quite frankly, I am fed up with being the enemy all the time in this rigged "game" that I do not even want to play.
There is so much going on behind the scenes here, and the focus is on fixing things that cannot be fixed, and moreover is designed not to work, because you can't piss in a milk bottles and call it milk... but the governments sure do want to convince the sheep that this is so. Australia, Canada, The USA, The UK and the European Union may as well re-design their country flags and toss out their constitutions, values, traditions, cultural beliefs, etc. because in a few more generations these countries will be the carcasses that the rest of the world get to cannibalize and crap all over. Islamization and Africanization of these countries is imminent. The whites are the enemy. That is sarcasm, but I'll go toe to toe with anyone on that one statement and support it with headline after headline of anti-white laws and non-white on white crimes surges in those very countries where whites made those countries and made them great nations... once.
I guess people may not think it is OK for me to suggest these view points, but I really do not care. I am simply saying things that a lot of other people are already thinking and feeling... and apparently people the likes of Mr. Netanyahu as well.
Whites are the minority in the world. If Majority gets to decide, then we are finished. If principle does not matter any more, then we are finished. If this is viewed and engaged with token Marxist accusations of racism, bigotry, etc. then I am not surprised. If I get "likes" then hope is stirred in my breast.
Multi-culturalism is a stupid phrase anyway. People who play by the rules do not even get the ramifications of what "multi-culturalism" means. When multiple cultures, who do not play by the rules, are poured into one culture in vast quantities, you get one thing and one thing only: A milk bottle full of piss. There is no other way to describe the eventual outcome.
Apologies for the toes I have stepped on, but I believe I am being perfectly honest here with my views, thoughts and feelings on the matter. I am proud to be white and to be able to reflect on the traditions, values and culture I grew up in, and do not want to see it go the way of the dinosaurs, or to be criminalized in the country where I grew up, simply because it will offend someone who gets to live there, but does not have to embrace those ideals, and rather instead spread their "anti-whatever" views with full immunity.
Respect...

Islamist fanatics have everything to do with Islam, they are quite simply Islamic puritans. You can accuse the, of misapplying Islamic doctrine or even cherry picking, but you can level the same accusations against moderates who choose to state 'there is no compulsion in religion' etc. Teresa May just announced a raft of measures against Islamist extremists. She didn't bother to address the problem of Jewish, Christian or indeed Buddhist or Hindu extremists because effectively there aren't any, everyone knows this so why pretend otherwise? The battle against any kind of religious extremists whether Islamic, Jewish or Christian, can only be won with education.
Not quite sure what Jews and Christians have to do with Islamist fanaticism.
The vast majority of Christians and Jews have exactly the same connection with Islamist fanaticism as the vast majority of Muslims; none at all.
No one, not even you, blames all Christians or Jews for the violence of fanatical Christian or Jewish groups.
Yet you and people like you constantly try and blame all Muslims for, or at least claim all Muslims support, the violence of fanatical Islamic groups like IS.
Islamist fanatics do not need educating, they need eradicating.
Attempting to educate those already corrupted by fanaticism and prejudice probably wont work.
What is required, and may very well work, is educating those vulnerable to the propaganda of IS; educating them to show this propaganda for the lies and misinterpretation that it is.
Non Muslims can't do that, and Muslim organisations, mosques etc. are already attempting to do so.
But every time an Islamaphobic comment is published, every time a piece of anti Muslim graffiti is painted on a mosque wall, every time the vast majority of law abiding Muslims are blamed for the atrocities of terrorists by the ignorant; another vulnerable person moves closer to being converted to the IS cause.
Is that what you want?

More corroborating evidence that Obama's planned capitulation to Iran is under attack from several sides. We already know that France is unhappy about several aspects of the deal. They are also in active discussion with the Israelis, who Obama has tried to cut out of the loop.

Did the Doctors who joined Douche not have enough education? By the way so called de-radicalization programs have not got a good track record. I would suggest stopping the indoctrination with Islamist ideology is easier than fixing what is already broken. The trouble is any meaningful steps suggested cause the PC multiculturalists to complain and call people names, so nothing meaningful ever gets, done. The battle against any kind of religious extremists whether Islamic, Jewish or Christian, can only be won with education.

And the first Muslims to arrive in the UK were Ahmadi Muslims, no doubt fleeing persecution too. The problem with Muslim immigrants seems to follow a predictable pattern, the more that arrive the bigger the problems. Stock excuses like Western Colonialism just don't wash if you consider Russia, China, Thailand, India, Nigeria and the Philippines all have similar issues.
In my work with refugees, I would have to question your assumption. Muslim refugees that were settled in the US managed to integrate quite well. It might be worth looking at the differences between the two countries and what are the differences. The US is experiencing fewer problems to large numbers heading toward ISIS -- at least at this point in time.Wow. There's a writer who has not one clue about the Australian, American, OR Muslim psyche.
"Possible explanations include that some Australian Muslims are poorly integrated with the rest of the country..."
No, Muslims are the reason they are poorly integrated. Stop blaming their behavior on the West. End of.
The difference could be because of how the country accepts and helps the arrivals assimilate and what programs are in place to facilitate adjustments to the new culture.
It can also be that the type of people arriving are different than other groups. They may be less well educated or there may be other mitigating factors.
Australia has had a lot of arrivals by boat and they may be different from those that are screened in a 3rd country and then prepared for resettlement in a new country. It also could be that large numbers of people can easily overwhelm the good will of a community or a country and this can have an adverse affect on integration.
But be assured, many, many Muslims who have been resettled in a Western Country have assimilated and are very loyal and appreciative to their new found land.
A Muslim doesn't equal a Muslim.
I guess the origin of Muslim immigrants makes a great difference, are they refugees who fled the islamist republic of Iran after the Shah fell or are they fundamentalist Islamist who were forced to flee from a secular dictator ?
Did they come from a country where Islam is moderate or hard-line ?
Did they come from a country where many have an axe to grind against the West?
An illustration of the differences is for example how differently Turks assimilated in Germany and Northern Africans in France for example.
Turks are causing much less problems in Germany than Northern Africans in France, yet their numbers are about the same (around 4.5 million each).
The culprit is clear, Puritan sects of Islam have spread bolstered by a wall of Oil money. This hateful supremacist ideology is anathema to multiculturalism, it adherents will never assimilate. To stop this all teaching of such strands of Islam has to be banned and its adherents deported, every single one of them.
Anything else is to fight a losing battle because new terrorists come on tap quicker than the old ones are dealt with.
Edit. Here is what to do, the article is from Belgium, but as I observed, this is not an 'Australian' problem, it's an Islam problem.

I'm not sure why it is 'puzzling'. Throughout the Western world Muslim immigrants are less integrated than just about any other group. This is down to their own culture and religion, and not down to the list of stock grievances the liberal-left rustle up to excuse this. P.s to invert a PC mantra, this is nothing to do with Australia.

Here are the words of a prize winning author, his observations are spot on. ISIS are akin to a fourth Reich and as such are the biggest danger the world faces today.
P.s And in other news the poverty causes terrorism myth receives another hit with the news that 9 'British' medical students joined ISIS.

I read a similar piece of righteous indignation from a UK far left pundit who talked of Netanyahu disrespecting The U.S president. It's quite funny considering for the remaining 364 days of the year they portray the U.S as the great Satan of Iranian rhetoric. And I see all the Stormfronters have suddenly found an Obama they can love.

If you consider the relative merits of a Middle East run by secular leaning tyrants or Islamist fanatics the former is infinitely preferable to the latter. The Quixotic vision of an Arab spring bringing pluralism and democracy to the region has now been shown to be a dessert mirage. The best that can be hoped for is the reestablishment of authoritarian rule, but this is appearing to be odds against in Iraq and Libya.
There needs to be a wholesale reform and modernization of Islam before Muslim populations can live comfortably beside non-Muslim ones, but I suspect before such a process can resolve itself there will be a large sectarian war between Sunni and Shia
Incidentally 'Islamist fanaticism' is just a palatable term for Islamic Puritanism, though for obvious reasons Western leaders can't admit this any more than can Monarchs or Military hard men ruling middle eastern states.

I guess it depends how you define 'backward'. Saudi Arabia is also a backward Country, which just happens to have great material wealth.I don't like to say much about places which I haven't got some first hand knowledge about, but from what I have heard when I lived in the region, Yemen is a very backward country.
It's sad to see any place and any group of civilians face military conflict, but for most Western countries I wonder what is the importance of Yemen, other than it seems like a breeding ground for some not-very-nice groups of people.
I suspect an all out Sunni vs Shia religious war is stepping up a gear. Best to get out and sell arms to whoever appears to be losing at any given time.

The truth of Israel's intentions can no longer be hidden or explained away:
In my quarter century as Washington correspondent for Jewish newspapers, I frequently defended Israel against charges that it had created an apartheid system in the West Bank. But this week's election, with Benjamin Netanyahu poised to serve another term with an even more hardline coalition, means that apartheid is the path Israeli voters have chosen. The inevitable results will include even greater international isolation for the Jewish state, a boost to efforts to apply boycotts and sanctions, diminished support from American Jews and endlessly intensifying cycles of violence.

Except that view is a total stranger to facts. Prior to the Election Likud had 19 seats and the two parties to the right of Likud had 25 seats. After the election Likud rose to 30 and the two parties right of Likud fell to 13 seats. Netanyahu has strengthened his hand at the expense of the far right, not the left.
For anyone not so blinkered as to be taken in by election rhetoric Netanyahu is actually in a stronger position to strike any peace deal that may emerge, though I'm not holding my breath on this one.- 3

It is indeed a Sunni counterpart to the apocalyptic Shia end of world theologians who rule Iran.
I don't think the attack in Yemen was against tourists. I don't think there are a lot of tourists in Yemen these days.
It has everything to do with "Islam religion."This has nothing to do with Islam religion.
The debacle in Yemen - and Libya - is the latest evidence that the US and its "allies" are being sidelined.
The new dynamic is between the Shiites led by Iran and the Sunnis led by the Islamic State.
American military involvement has been a disaster and has only made things worse.
If it were that simple--Sunni versus Shi'a--then ISIS wouldn't be going after westerners as well. The attack in Yemen was against mostly western tourists. And you have countless other attacks and hostage-takings targeting westerners. ISIS wants to set up a Sunni caliphate. That means Shiite Muslims are the enemy because they are seen as heretics but westerners who would refuse to submit to the caliphate are also the enemy.
Things don't get much more complex than this. In this conflict, Syria and Iran are the natural allies of the west, but few people want to get into bed with them. Then again, the western democracies had to ally themselves with the Soviets to defeat the Nazis, so there is a precedent. But then remember how things turned out after the common enemy (the Axis) was defeated... a vacuum was created which the former allies rushed to fill and in doing so became mortal enemies overnight. Have we learned our lessons?
ISIS is not a Shia vs. Sunni conflict, it is a a particular brand of Sunni with a particular ideology against everyone else, Shia, and other infidels.
So how does a policy of enabling the two of them and starting a nuclear arms race between them sound? What could possibly go wrong. According to the book of Daniel the antichrist will be seen in both Iraq and Libya, not that I'm religious, but who would fit the bill there?

The original position was a cap of around 1500 centrifuges. With 6000 I suspect the so called breakout time to enriching enough material for a bomb would be 2-3 months and not the year the clueless Obama administration would have us believe. The following article has a chronological list of statements about the Iranian nuclear developments. To conclude he is a compulsive liar is inescapable.

Why would he bomb Israel when he can arrange for Iran to do it by proxy? Not that Plausible deniability even seems necessary for Obama, seeing how the press cover for him.
I guess a thread on Netanyahu's lies and racist comments are just too much for some to add Some Obama bashing. This is all a storm in a teacup. The only reason why it's 'news' is because the Islamist-leftist alliance is trying to salvage something from the reelection of Netanyahu. From the O.P it appears that everything Netanyahu said was in the conditional. A blind man can see a two state solution is a non-starter in the foreseeable future. To zoom in on what Netanyahu said during a close fought election campaign is somewhat hypocritical, unless of course the genocidal statements from the Iranians or Hamas are given similar credence. Obama's favorite Middle Eastern leader Erdogan has got away with some outrageous rhetoric without any repercussions. I suspect Obama, who himself dissembles and abuses language will try to make something of this. He can see his time slipping away with the bitter prospect of his Nemesis outlasting him in politics. I suspect the U.N will where we see what Obama intends to do to get revenge.
Using analogy from a certain poster with serious issues....hope Obama grows some balls and bombs Israel. Would put a stop to the illegal settlements.

He is over reaching himself in a bout of what psychiatrists call Narcissistic rage, by the time he calms down he will have likely torpedoed any chance the Democrats may have had at the next election.Everyone knows that Obama was working against Netanyahu in the recent election in Israel - interfering in their politics - and he failed dismally. He is throwing Israel under the bus out of spite, but most democrats in Congress are not going to let him get away with it.

ISIL directed attacks or sanctioned attacks in Tunisia will cross a red line that will bring in Italian and French armed forces on the ground.
If NATO determines that ISIL military activity in Tunisia is a threat ultimately against Europe, all of NATO may be mobilized to sweep northern Africa free of ISIL together with Egypt and Morocco.
I'd like to think you're right but I suspect without U.S involvement NATO would be hard pressed to sweep a chimney, let alone North Africa.

No 100% arse about face there. The word Semite has been used as a bridgehead in order to undermine the commonly recognized meaning of the word antiSemitism by attempting to fit prejudice against Muslims into the same box. This is all the more ironic, not to say obnoxious in light of the fact that most of the recent rise in antiSemitism is due to Muslims. Use the word Islamophobia if you like, but I'm afraid that has become as badly tarnished as the word racist or bigot due to the same abuse of language that comes as second nature to much of the liberal left.
Especially the Muslims seem to be fair game.IMOI say this with respect, But there are lots of racists on these threads. It is a shame that racist remarks are allowed. It reflects badly on TV as a Forum in General. IMO
It isn't racist. Judaism and Islam aren't races. They are religions made up of all of the races. There are no races called Jew or Muslim.
And yet a word that denigrates a race (Semite) has been hijacked to be used to mean attacking Jews.
Funny old world, isn't it?

I wonder if any of the antiquities in the Museum were also destroyed? If so then what with murder and kidnapping this ticks all the boxes for the behavior that has nothing to do with Islam for 1400 years, even though verses in Islamic scripture have been misunderstood by people thinking it explicitly called for such behavior, also for 1400 years. So again we are at war with an enemy we can't even define properly.
Defining them is easy. They call themselves Muslims, meaning "they who submit". And there are different brands of Muslims, each thinking only they got it right and hence by word of the prophet are "the perfect society" to the exclusion of all others and hence deserve to be caliph instead of the caliph, branding all others infidels, dhimmis or (different Muslims) as apostates.
Can't really talk sense into them apart from having the above bad-ass secret police around.
If you are trying to understand them, past defining them, I just dug this up: http://www.citizentimes.eu/2009/12/18/the-one-thing-muslim-immigrants-fear-is-being-deported/
"My experience from working psychologically with Muslims shows that the Muslim culture does not find it easy to be “equal.”
Either you are over or you are under: You can be different and unequal, but you cannot be different and equal.
The chiefs of the police and many politicians hope for some kind of “mutual acceptance,” but this is not possible in cultures developed under Islam."
Article also gives some advice if you already got them in your home-country.
Oh, and here: http://www.citizentimes.eu/2014/04/02/why-moderate-islam-is-an-oxymoron/
" The real question, then, is what do Allah and his prophet command Muslims (“they who submit”) to do? Are radicals “exaggerating” their orders?
Or are moderate Muslims simply “observing reasonable limits”—a euphemism for negligence?—when it comes to fulfilling their commandments?
In our highly secularized era, where we are told that religious truths are flexible or simply non-existent, and that any and all interpretations and exegeses are valid,
the all-important question of “What does Islam command?” loses all relevance.
Hence why the modern West is incapable of understanding Islam."
From my personal experience as a lawyer they *are* fighting extradition tooth and nail, even plead for a shorter term of exile, while criminal sentences apparently only elicit some sort of "only Allah can judge" feeling.
I understand and agree with your point. I wonder how many Countries there are which have not had a jihad attack. Clearly the leaders of Muslim states are rattled, because they know full well the official line told to us by Western leaders is a tissue of lies and propaganda.
Of course Islamists have everything to do with Islam, a war on 'terror' is in reality a war against the Medina verses of the Quran and many Hadiths and Suras and the ideology that uses them. Tunisia was and is moderate for a Muslim Country, yet 3000 of its citizens have joined ISIS. There needs to be a war between Muslims who want to separate religion and state and those who want a Caliphate, it is unavoidable. Until the smoke settles allowing Muslim immigration is an act of supreme folly.

Of course Obama has pushed against Israel's interests as far as he dares. He knows full well that the only thing that will allow future presidents sharing Obamas ideology to fully abandon Israel is a demographic change in the U.S. This is something he has set about with gusto, 300,000 Muslim third world immigrants into the U.S in 2014 alone."...it was no secret that Obama and his advisers would have welcomed a change in Israeli leadership."
As if the Israeli people give a s... what Obama thinks.
Why do some people say that America should keep its nose out of other peoples' business until it comes to trying to push the Israeli people around?
This was their election. Obama can buzz off.
Obama single handedly gave Bibi this election. Obama does not use soft policy, a big stick, or other tools of state craft; this administration uses criminal-like tools to manipulate, weaponize the region through third parties, employ NGOs as proxies, and actually meddle and overthrow governments directly. Netanyahu's victory was an indictment of Obama. The jews have a greater sense of realpolitik with regards to the middle east than the muslim brotherhood advised US president (sources too numerous to cite). Obama will add one more canister of fuel into the regional war he is creating in the middle east. While the immediate vehicle to conflict may be seen as this election, a broad view reveals every single issue Obama has meddled in inexorably leads to a greater likelihood of war the region. If a person has a narrow view any one issue may look explosive, but rarely is. In the middle east there are so many tinder boxes left smoking and kindling due to this administration's meddling that fairly short time will set them further ablaze- but not before he further empowers DAESH. Can anyone provide one single instance where Obama's middle east meddling has lessened the likelihood of war? Anyone? Anyone?
(Note: The recent incidents where Obama has provided aid to Israel contrary to the narrative I am suggesting above is because he has to; he has no choice)!
If we cut to the chase a two state solution has always been a fantasy because the Palestinians want all of the cake themselves, hence they never renounce violence, never recognize Israel and quite openly say that any state they control will be Judenrein. Netanyahu is merely reflecting that reality with his statements. He never said anything about expelling Israel's Arab population, nor removing their voting rights. Indeed 77% of Israeli Arabs would rather be governed by Israel than the unaccountable and terminally corrupt Palestinian authority.

Winning the battle against Islamist fanaticism

Muslims do indeed have to take ownership of the 'misuse' of their scripture. This is in effect a reformation of Islam. It is no good pointing to extremists of other religions, these are a fringe if they exist at all. With Islam it is the reformers who are a fringe, according to Ayaan Hirsi Ali. They need our support, not the self appointed advocacy groups who blame anyone but themselves for Muslim violen e, yet so often have links with the Muslim Brotherhood etc.
