  1. Does he have to be there in person? If he's sick, I imagine not.
  2. It's possible. I've not included the 2 parties you mention. But how many of the rest will side with PT? Pita might stand himself. Could be his call on Friday.
  3. The third one is the one to go for. But PT are too stupid and greedy to see it.
  4. After May the Senate don't get to vote on the PM. But the Senate will continue on until there's a constitution rewrite.
  5. He can't rewrite the Charter. It needs Senate support. And a complete constitution rewrite. Can't see the turkeys voting for Christmas. But I have a solution. Pita, Prawit, Prayut and the Democrats form a 252 seat majority coalition. End of. Job done.
  6. They'll get absolutely nowhere without them.
  7. So just remind me. The parties in the new coalition will be made up from: PT 141 BJT 71 Democrats? 25 Prachachart? 9 Thai Sang Thai? 6 Thai Liberal? 1 New Democracy? 1 New Party? 1 Chart Pattaya Kla? 2 Thai Counties? 1 Chart Thai Pattana? 10 Fair Party? 1 Social Power? 1 Pheu Thai Ruam Palang? 2 But will the parties from the old coalition switch sides? And even with all the above, still need 100 odd Senators. I so hope this thing never flies! Go to hxll Tony and take your rotten party with you.
  8. MFP might have a say in the nomination for PM, that's if that even goes ahead. The CC is set to rule on the 2nd vote débâcle, maybe tomorrow, before anything can happen. As usual, all commentators jumping the gun. I really don't think X is a reliable source. All chatter. No sources ever mentioned. No room I guess.
  9. They can't change the Senate charter. It will change next May.
  10. Nah, far too simple. And what's Tony's return got to do with Anutin? MFP? Same deal? Cobblers, I think.
  11. Where does Khaosod get its news from? Go ahead I?
  12. Nobody apart from the other 7 parties to the original coalition, will work with MFP. 112 amendment is not in the MoU. It's odd that PT have made it clear they don't support amending 112, but are prepared to work with MFP, whereas BJT and the Democrats have just refused point blank to work with MFP because of 112, or so they say. If PT are prepared to work with MFP and reserve their position on 112, why can BJT and Democrats not do the same? And there's a certain amount of horse trading open to them all. For instance, BJT are looking for support for their Cannabis-Hemp Bill which I believe both PT and MFP oppose. They'll never get it through without support. If PT joined MFP in opposition, BJT would never get anything through. I don't think the Senate gets to vote on bills tabled in the house of reps, but I'm not sure. Anutin has declared he wouldn't join a minority government. Another election would be on the cards. But the vast expense and time would be prohibitive. The senate would have to reluctantly accept the inevitable. PT and MFP in a coalition government. 112 is such a relatively minor issue, but they've turned it into a mountain.
  13. They got 38% and 151 seats. BJT got 3% and 71 seats. I don't call 38% a small part. Anutin declared in April he wouldn't work with anyone that didn't support his weed policy. That's both MFP and PT out the window then. https://www.voanews.com/a/pot-politics-emerge-as-key-issue-in-thai-election-/7068805.html Obviously welched on that item. Srettha is a flip flop politician. Supports amending 112 then opposes it. Urges Democrats and BJT to support Pita, then abandons the whole idea. The whole rotten crew on this ship of fools should be planked.
  14. https://www.voanews.com/a/pot-politics-emerge-as-key-issue-in-thai-election-/7068805.html Anutin: "“Whoever wants to form the government with us must support the cannabis policy,” he told a TV talk show host on April 26." PT dead against it.
  15. I guess "legalising" it made the supply chain that much more traceable. Now, weed shops everywhere, info on source, different types, strengths, availability. There are pluses and minuses. No idea if Anutin and co have benefited financially from the liberalisation. Apparently there's a big problem with imports. If you followed the same trajectory with an amendment to 112 as that followed by liberalising the cannabis laws, lowering the penalties, for instance, would there be a corresponding change in attitudes and behaviour? Is that what they're scared of? Yeah, could be I guess.
  16. Ok, I take it back. In some ways you make a valid point. It was Anutin, leader of Bumjaithai, who brought in the ganja liberalisation laws. Now we have his right hand nut saying why not allow people to gun down anyone transgressing section 112. Bumjaithai - utterly opposed to even considering amending 112, but full steam ahead on weed amendments. Unopposed. Strange country, Thailand. Well, strange crowd running it. Irrational, emotional, unpredictable, inconsistent. Not a good basis for good governance.
  17. What's being stoned got to do with it? Nonsense post.
  18. The £ was riding high against the baht, and all other currencies, for a month or so. You could get 45.5 some places. $1.31 anybody? Can't see how that reflects a strong baht. Now it's moved back below 44 and $1.28. Happens all the time.
  19. That's right. A complete nut. Deputy leader of Bumjaithai, with whom Pheu Thai it is rumoured are looking to hook up. It was part of a tirade against Pita in parliament. This is what it's come to.
  20. Here's just a sample of what Pita is up against in parliament. The nut behind the wheel, Chada Thaised, deputy leader of the Bumjaithai Party. https://www.thaipbsworld.com/chada-thaised-ferocious-opponent-of-pitas-pm-bid-has-a-dark-and-violence-racked-history/ https://thethaiger.com/news/national/words-as-ammunition-bhumjaithai-party-mp-demands-shooting-law-for-people-insulting-thai-monarchy
  21. Exactly, well put. They have an economic policy which will take time to implement, so suddenly it's their fault that everything is, or will be held up. Just more of the slanted press spreading misinformation. They just don't seem to know how to write unbiased copy. Maybe they're not taught that on their media degree courses.
  22. Interesting link. Opposition to amending Section 112 and the collapse of the Thai economy. Unforseen consequences play havoc.
  23. Sure. Diabetes. Dementia. Nut shrinkage. Chronic flatulence. Piles. Any well accredited doctor could no doubt come up with a long list of hard to disprove ailments. Yes. He'll walk, no doubt about that. But PT might find it difficult after the kicking they'll be getting from their erstwhile supporters, and the rogering by their erstwhile political opponents. Yeah take it like the chicken <deleted>s you are, so called "Leaders of For Thailand".
  24. If he has a serious medical condition, dementia or some such, he won't do a day in chokey I'll wager. Call a doctor!
  25. Oh yes they are! 1000s here in Thailand. The real life Untouchables.
