  1. A question asked many times is how many people live in Chiang Rai City.

I really dont know is my answer then, but yesterday a beautifull lady asked me this question and i was emberrased.

So maybe this is a good question for the forum?

Maybe someone knows how many expats we have, but i guess this is not easy, because expat means all nationalities.

ps. can somebody tell me something about Tommy Row ? :o

  2. Thks guys, so Limbo you maaen the road near the orange club? :D

And chang 35B at least i know that your an ausie, thanks.

homealone i will try orns book shop, ps. do you drink sangsom with some herbal?

because i am on a mission i will find out who you guys are. :o

  3. hmmm...why ?

Well the thing i like about these pages is that we dont know who we are talking to, on the other hand, this makes curious also.

In my favorite hangouts we love to talk about this, and we are guesing who is who.

Ill guess we will never really find out, maybe thats what makes it exciting.

  4. Hello ladys and gentleman.

A friend of mine "married" with an Akha girl, without a proper id card.

The problem is that without an id she cant travel outside the borders of Chiang Rai province.

So if they want to travel outside the province, they need an inventation, from a Thai resident, like a copy from Thai id card, and a house notification form.

So what he is looking for, is someone who has a friend in Hua Hin, Pattaya, Koh Samuii, or Bangkok, who wants to provide this papers.

    Thanks so far

  5. Something NEW in Town

I can tell you that not only Bo,s place is a good and cheap place, Next to the Red Rose hotel, or opposite if you like, there is a new Brewery opened.

    Chiang Rai Micro Brewery.

They not only sell good and fresh German draft beer, at very resonable prices, they also do a lot of german food, i tried the German sausages (4) with mashed potatoes and saurkraut.and i must say, that altough my favour goes to Bo,s place.....it was very very good.

Packed with Thais in the evening, and a nice atmosphere in the garden.

  6. Thanks for the question.

  11. Hello forum.

my name Erwin 38y. living here now two years, running the borders every mounth.

For a few mounths now i am buying goods here and selling in holland. Its still small buisiness, but it will grow.

Because i am married to an Akha (without) proper ID card, untill now) i can not yet apply for Non O. In March however i have to travel to Holland, to subscribe my new business there.

My question is, is there a chance to aply for a Non B, Or a Non O, as the duch (Thai Consulate) says that with a house renting contract and money in the bank in thai, they will apply Non O ?

My exporting business is still smal, but as every gouvernment knows every business starts small.

Hope to get some informatin from you guys.

    thanks.

  12. My wife sells on the nightbazaar in Chiang Rai, she sells wooden birds, wit a sort of a propelor, wich is made by hand by ourself, the birds we buy in Chiang Sean, where hundreds of people sell those birds.

Nobody wants to tell her were to buy those birds, now we are paying toooo much.

So if there is someone who can help with the adress of the "factory", we would be very happy. For the proper adres we are happy to pay........cause it could bring us money.

Hope someone knows were i talk about

  13. hello thai lovers

My name is erg and this is my first post on this page.

I am living in thai now 13 mounths, going to stamp every mounth.

I am "married" to an Akha girl, two years now, 25 years old, without a thai ID card, she has a blue card. Altough she is born in thai, and has proof of that.

Because of her blue card i can not register my marriage at a thai Ampheur, therefore i can not apply for a marriage document, i do have all the other requirements as a thai bankaccount, a tapiaanbaan, motobike on my name, house rent, telephone, drivinglicence, motobikelicence, all on my own name,a letter from my (holland) embassy wich says i can marry her, etc. etc. etc.

But in my case it is not posible to apply for a non O, hope somebody, knows something more about this, any tip is welcome, because i would love to have this one year stamp, or help her with her thai citicenship.
