personally, im quite a girl who like to stay in a big city, even here is my mother hometown, the place i grow up and studying, but things here or cr itself is so boring for me..nothing to do much but in deep down of me i want CR being this way boring quiet and good weather. I dont want CR to change in any ways. The boring of CR is make CR seem interesting ....

PS. im moving permanently to bkk in around 2 months.......

Please come and say goodbuy to your secret admirer :o

  2. Hi boys and girls.

We have a cat who is one year old now.

One morning he comes home, and has a tick leg, no wounds however, he cant stand on it.

We think nothing of it, but the next day he wont eat and has a fever, his mouth, eyes, skin, etc is yellow, we bring him to the vet, and he tells us the cat has a liver problem.

Does someone knows what can cause this?

i was thinking he might be bitten by a snake os scorpion???

  3. thks Flupke, i do not know how junior is at the moment, as she is not born yet.

To mrOzark, everybody is wecome, we dont like clubs so who wants to kayak, just kayak, if someone like to kayak with us, the problem is the amounth of kayaks, otherwise just contact me, i guess most of you know where i am.

I will have a talk at lekhouse about more kayaks.

    thanks

  4. It is true that they milk the female for eggs, after they catch a female they officialy have to wait untill they catch a male to furtelize the eggs, before they can get them out of the water.

A few years ago when i was one of the "choosen" ones to live in Chiang Khong i withnessed this natural disaster.

They did bread a lot of small pla buek fish in the little ponds next to the river, and it was nice to see that after a few mounths a high official came to release them in to the Mae Kong, press and television was there, and every body was happy except for a few critics offcourse.

The sad thing was that three days later most of the released baby fish where for sale on the local market, after beeing recaught by the local fisherman.

As i am told: officially the Mekong river belongs to Laos, and therefor the Thai are only allowed fishing the first 50 meters of the river (no tayto, sideways) thats why the Mekong fish in Thailand comes from Laos, and is so expensive.

  5. guys guys guys......calm down, calm down please, as you know easy does it.

I wouldt love to invite you guys on our next trip, the thing is at the moment there are only two Kayaks availeble at Lek house.

So if you can manage some more Kayaks i will be happy to introduce you amatures into the profesional skills of Kayaking, dont worry about beeing less skilled as we are, also we started one day as amatures.

And yes Mr. Chang 35 bath, we have to disguise ourself due to our popularity in the International Bowling legue.

Its not nice and definitly lonely at the top. :o

  6. In the Rai: i guess you went out for a couple again, and therefour missed our trip.

We (bo,s proffesional Kayak buddies) kayak most of our free time, that is when we are not Bowling, or biking off course.

Please guys pay attention, this looks so unprofesional :o

  7. Kevin.

My wife is 6 monts now.

To recognice the baby, you need from yourself: a paper saying you are not married at the moment from your local city hall in holland, and a paper saying were your from, and were you have residence, also you need to hand over a copy of your pasport.

Your wife needs a paper from her local cityhal saying she is not married, she needs a copy of her Tabiaan baan, she needs a copy off her id card, all these papers have to be legelised by the Ministry of Foreign affairs in Bangkok, wereafter you have to show them at the duch embassy in bangkok, you have to go there together with your wife, they check your papers and after that they make an apointment were you have to show up together again, to sign a paper saying thath you excapt the un born child.

With this paper the child can apply for a duch pasport after birth immidiatly. It will automatic have Thai citicin ship cause it is born in thailand.

To get your GF to Holland is an even more complicated process.

It is a time consuming proces.

If you wait untill after birth you have to wait for dual citicen ship until 18 years, also then you have to prove that you took care of the child for three years. (not advisible)

PM me for more info, as i am doing the same thing as we speak.

Ps zo,n verklaring heet registratie ongeboren vrucht, je vrouw mag op het moment van herkenning niet getrouwd zijn.

    geluk erg

  8. We must also hope that the money they received from Chiangrai business owners will end up in the form of a printed advertisement, as they surely promised everyone...

Balls on Jerry, I think you see the light clearly. I heard the proposed introduction is not Aug 1 now, because they don't have enough advertisers?? Then when is it.??? You people need to explain more. :D

    Indeed MJ.

My opinion is that the initiative is good, we NEED something in CR.

And something costs money, so for adding ads is a start, it shoudnt be the main goal, altough i think it is not easy to please everybody from a first edition, it is a start.

I wouldt say CR is bigger then the city alone.

What about Chiang Khong a main tourist atraction due to Laos. Chiang Mai, Phu chi Fa ?

I hope the entrepeneurs are not demotivated by our posts, but incouraged to move on with there initiative, The best Captains are allways standing ashore :o

  9. Khutan,

If you like mountain scenery then you might consider a jaunt into northern Laos via Chiang Khong-Huay Sai. If you want to do this then get a visa before starting your trip north because you can't get one at the border here. Really, the mountains in northern Laos put everything in Thailand to shame...but it is a bit out of the way and takes extra time and planning.

    Chownah

    Why no visa upon arrival.?

They allways had 1500 bath for 15 days.

There's a meditation center just west of the bridge area - somewhere (I haven't seen it, but people have asked me to guide them to it then written back how nice and photogenic it is). :o
