  1. Hi boys and girls.

Here in CR we are in desperate need of your information.

You guys have loads of kayaks to paddle the beautifull coastal area, i know because in a former life i was able to do so.

Now living in CR for the last few years, me and my friends are wondering were to purcase such a kayak.

    Thanks from the CR forum.

(Sorrie Mr Supermoderater if this is in the wrong forum, please leave it a few days) :o

  2. As most of the readers of this forum know, I am a fanatic sports man, (biking, Bowling etc. etc.)

So now that we introduced Biking and Bowling in Chiang Rai i think that my team and i are ready for a new challenge.

Yes dear forum reader, we will paddle the Kayak, we start in Chiang Rai in the Nam Mae Kok, wich will bring us to Chiang Sean, were we float into the Nam Mae Khong, also know as Mekong, from were we will float to Chiang Khong.

This trip is going to take two to tree days, so bring clean underwaer.

(Anybody know were to buy or rent the so called SEAKAYAK, this is a kayak were you sit on, instead of in.) :o

  3. Hi boys and girls.

Here follows wath i copied in the info section above.:

12 month extension to a non-immigrant visa: If you are holding a non-immigrant visa, you have the option of extending this by 12 months based on either retirement (50 years old or over) or support to a Thai citizen, work, education and such. This may only be accomplished at an immigration office inside the Kingdom and certain criteria have to be met. Such extensions consist of a stamp in your passport detailing “issue date” and “permitted to stay until” date.

Note 1: If you are residing in the Kingdom under an extension to a non-immigrant visa and wish to leave the Kingdom at any time, then you will need to obtain a “re-entry permit” to avoid losing the extension and the subsequent need to re-apply (i.e. applying for a new non-immigrant visa and then extension of stay).

Note 2: If you are residing in the Kingdom under an extension to a non-immigrant visa it is a legal requirement that the holder reports current address to an immigration office using form TM.47 (in person or by registered mail) every 90 days. Re-entering the Kingdom is the equivalent of a 90 day report.

So i have an muliple entry non o, i am duch and my visa is done 28 may, my options then are going to penang for a multiple tourist visa or go mountly, or.......extend my non o multiple.

Offcourse the last one wouldt be the best, problem for me is thath i am "married" to an Akha without proper thai id card so i cant show a marriage cert.

But wath i do is suporting my wife who is carrying our child now for the last four mounths.

My question, do you think thath if i take "my wife" to the immigration office in Mai Sai, with a house notification form, money in the bank, and her id card, and a letter saying thath she is carrying my child (from the duch embassy) thyath they will extend my non o for 12 mounths?

  4. hello forum.

There is a interesting article in the Bangkok post today about a new fertiliser for Rubbertrees. So the tree can be cut at dailey hours, cause cutters in the south are scared they get killed between 02.00 and 04.00, the time the most latex is produced.

Is there someone who has a scanner so we can put it on the forum, or pm it to: oversees airBowling representitive Mr Chang35bath?

I know he is interested in it, i will keep the paper for him anyway.

I know he is to buissy working right now, so, i think we own him some attention.

Ps chang 35bath hope to see you soon. :o

  5. as people tell me, in the wiang inn swimming pool there are no guards, and only a letter telling you not to swim before 08.00 and after 00.00 in the evening, also they give you the free advise not to swim after a meal or when drunk.

I am also very interested, because acourding to Joel its only a 100 meter walk for me.

Come on Joel, you can do better then that, its at least a 150 metres.

Or can i not play, i like a german bear. :o

  6. Dear Limbo, i noticed you are interested in art a lot, and now i see you are replying saying you are in this buissiness more then twenty years now.

Very interesting, Drs proffesor, can you tell us a little bit more about your past please.

    Erg.

No, that would be off-topic as off-topic it could be.

If you have a personal interest I will whisper it in your ear next time I have an Erdinger at your place. This forum is a public space. We should respect each others privacy, otherwise it might lead to the uttering of personal frustrations, insinuations and plain gossip. Chiang Rai is the topic, not the belly of the farang community (unless it is about delicacies)!

    Limbo.

  7. I am wondering wath kind of food everybody is missing in CR.

For me, a humble duchie, i miss duch schrimps and smoked eal, this is aside from bread with cheese ofcourse.

But yes, i wouldt like to know, there are a lot off different nationalitys here, and i guess every nationality misses his own.

  8. Hmm....Mr. Ray23, I do understand that not everybody is serious about Bowling, but as you read, i write Bowling with a capital B.

For us (the oldest and therefour first Bowling team in Chiang Rai) Bowling is a way of life.

I do understand that for some people its "just a game" but please do not be offended, that for us thats not the case.

For the same reason we can not just play Bowling at opening hours, we made offcourse special arrangements, with the owners of chiang rai Bowling alley, wich couldt only came to open its doors thanks to our members of honour, BBB Drs. Proffesor Limbo, and offcourse, Chiang35Baht OABR/BBB (Overseas Air Bowling Representative of Bo's Bowling Buddies)

You offcourse understand our tactics, as we can not show our very proffecionall swing, as we say in profesionall Bowling language.

There four we play at secret ours (mostly at night) with police protection to keep spectators at a save distance while the police officers are offcourse being frisked, for not having cameras, we had some problem a while ago with an officer trying to make pictures with the intention off selling them to the highest bidder.

But do not fear, you will see us Play, as we speak our sponsors are negotiating, because the last sponsor we had while airBowling (Nike air) dos not allow us to talk with Budweiser, who desperatly wants to sponsor our Bowlingteam.

So Ray 23 thank you for the response but please lets stay serious.

    Erg :o

  9. :o

Hi boys and girls, Yes my wife is pregnant :D

Happy happy happy. i expect a few problems with registration, because my wife does not have the proper ID card, she is a lovely akha thats why.

Does someone has experiance with this, i would like the child to have my last name, and of course i would like the child to have two nationalities (duch and thai).

Problem is that we cant marry without a proper ID.

  10. Hmmmm. Drs Proff. Limbo (member of hounour from Chiang Rai oldest and first Bowling club)

I hope you speak about uncle Johnny from Mai Sai.

It happend to be that my lovely wife and I together with some friens, (good friens of you also) go to Mai Sai on monday.

    Hope to see you there.

  11. Hello boys and girls.

Can i apply for a tripple tourist visa (3 times 2 months) in Penang.

I am 39 year old and currently on a Non O from my home country holland.

I prefer to fly to Penang for a tripple tourist wich i can extend every 2 months with one month so in the end it can turn out 9 months, yes expensive, but is it possible?

  12. A bit of a strange subject, but i will post it anyway.

My wife has a buisines in Chiang Rai, therefour, i speak to a lot of her customers, who are mainly expats.

Now allready two people told me a strange story, they go to Mai Sai, lets say on 22 feb. in there passports the visa stamp says 22 feb. they show up on 22 feb........And the officer says he has to pay two days overstay (400 :o.

The man asks what this is about, and he is aked to step aside, he is told to calm down, and an other officer comes out of the office and tells him that when an officer tells him he is overstay he IS overstay.

The man paid the fine, got a recieve paper, but his pasport is not stamped overstay, as they normally do.

To everybody perhaps a strange story, but a true one, as i saw his pasport.

Similair stories come from Chiang Sean, where people who arrive on the last day of their 30 days are being refused to leave the country, and being send to Mai Sai.
