You dont need 6 months validity in Thailand or Malaysia because no visa is needed to enter those countries so just go to malaysia for a while and then come back to thailand that will give you some breathing space by the ezy I got my us pasdport in 7 days in Chiangmai

I have an asus a45v laptop( windows 7 home) which is useless unless the touchpad is disabled and an external mouse used otherwise it goes crazy every time your hand touches the touchpad. There is no way to disable the touchpad via windows>device manager> mouse you can try to disable or delete the driver but then it just reinstalls everytime you restart and doesnt work anyway. There are also no hotkeys that can do this the only way is to disable it in the BIOS which has worked great for 3 years but now suddenly the setting in the BIOS went back to enable and if I disable it again it goes back to enable every restart.

The clock is also messed up and does not keep time settings anymore. Every time I restart its hours off randomly.

So I checked on the web forums about this and it looks like it could be the CMOS battery but after reading allot I came to the conclusion that the cmos battery is only for keeping the bios settings when the main battery is removed or run down and noT plugged in.

I also concluded that if it were the CMOS battery all the setting would be lost including the date but the date seems to be always correct.

Am I wrong about any of this?

Stop in Penang after Sri lanka for your visa. As Ubonjoe said KL nnot dependable anymore. Almost certain you will not get in Sri Lanka. You cannot get a Thai Visa in India anymore unless you are a resident of India so it's likely Sri Lanka has the same rules but you will find out for sure after you get there. The Thai embassy of Sri lanka may say double or triple entry but they would bbe referring to residents only. Worst case scenario just come bback with nno visa get 30 days and then go to Laos for your visa.
