Actually they controlled pretty much the entire planet including India, China, Africa, Australia and the middle east and north america. I doubt they lost sleep over loosing the thirteen colonies?"This is the ship that changed the course of human history," Clifford said.
Without doubt, the world would have been totally different if Columbus hadn't discovered the part of the world that now wants to control the whole world.
UH, that was England before it got too puny to do anything at all. England was the King of Colonizers and World Controllers.
The first damn thing England did to the new colonies established after Columbus was to send the British Army and take control and make America its colony, and start putting heavy taxes for the King on imports. Remember the Boston Tea Party?
The Americans had their own guns and went after that king's army, and with the help of France ran him off.
Britain went home with its tail between its legs and hasn't amounted to a shit since. All it can do is sit and whine.

Malaysia will become the new packpacker hub with the new KLIA 2 budget airline airport with cheap flights to everywhere in Asia and 90days on arrival which can be repeated as many times as you need.
I will be running for prime minister next year ( farang freedom party) and I plan to allow unlimited border runs for western europe, australia japan and north american passport holders and we will be charging them 1000 baht at the border each time. The revenue from that will pay for the high speed railway from chiangmai to singapore within 5 years.
I dont mean to sound impolite but you gov officials dont have a clue about how to run your own country.
Instead of killing a harmless channel why not monitise it to bring maximum benefit to Thailand?

Its because the 30 day border runners are young guys that the girls want to be with for free so there is allot of jealousy from the old guys who have to pay up the wazoo for a young girl. In fact they cant even get a young girl anymore because lets face it young women are are attracted to young men not to old men. There was a time when mostly old guys came here but now there is allot of younger guys and the girls are hip to it.Seems people are not very bright here. It is the immigration official that will decide if you are trying to live in Thailand off these border runs. You come in and out same hour, same day and he feels your doing this to get extra days in Thailand and not for tourist reasons he denies entry. So some of you need to wake up and visit for a few days before returning to Thailand. And stop crying the blues, it's about time they crack down on those who try to work here illegally. Glad to see this happen. Thailand does not owe you anything and it's have no affect on the economy from these cheap people who do these border runs. Also some here need to wait up to the fact that if you have a visa of any type it doesn't affect you. Can people get that through their heads. Go home we don't need you here is my best advise.
That was most probably the most hateful post I have read in a long time.
"Go Home"... are you serious.
Some people need to stick their "Godly" heads back up their...............
Thailand is so desperately in need of more english teachers but they make it so difficult to get a job as an english teacher and so difficult to get a visa that many english teachers have to resort to visa running.
This is because the elites dont want the poor to get ahead when they should in fact hire anybody who is an english native and give them a fast track visa to fill the public schools with native english teachers instead of relying on a few Thai english teachers who cannot speak english properly the result being that no one who went to a public school can speak a word of english to the delight of the eletes who want to continue the exploitation of the poor. Many farangs who are rich take the side of the elites because they are after all here to exploit the poor in the same way and their racist viewpoint is probably not appreciated where they came from.

Thailand is about to be downgraded by Amnesty international to the same level as Myanmar and north Korea for its human trafficking record and lack of interest in stopping the problem due to involvement of Thai immigration officials and the possibly the Navy in selling Rohingya into slavery. Its an embarrasment for Thailand but going after the messenger of the story instead of the goverment officials who committed these crimes confirms Thailand to be on the same level with Noth Korea. But then again thats how they do it in the USA as well as in war crimes reported by bradley manning who now rots in jail and domestic invasion of privacy reported by ed snowden who is trapped in Russia. What does it take to get a government thats answerable to the people?
Whos function it is to serve the people?

The country that rules its people with an iron fist would like Thailand to impliment measures that would prevent any political conflicts in the future so that the thai slaves can be more conveniently exploited.
-
Since the rules seem to change every two weeks its rather hard to do that isnt it?Russian or not, it's a wake up call for all Falangs here.
Indeed. Read up on Thai immigration law and comply with it, or else risk being denied entry to Thailand as Mariia was. For that matter, "Falangs" would be wise to do that with any other country they intend to visit.

I dont think anyone is enthusiastic about a war including the red shirts but what do you expect them to do when their rights are taken away by the elites? Should they try to arrange talks? Should they meekly go home and accept being enslaved again. Accept abysmal wages again? Accept no health insurance again?
Having been in a country where there was a military takeover (where I lost relatives) and having lost civilian relatives in a civil war in another SE Asian country I must admit that I am not keen to lose anymore relatives. In both of these SE Asian countries civil rights have not been restored to the level that currently exist in Thailand. So please excuse me for not sharing your enthusiasm. If it takes a civil war for the majority of the population to retain their civil rights then so be it.
This is what is coming sooner than later the elites will take away all the hard earned little progress that has been made in the past ten years. Suthep has declared war to wipe out the fledgling democracy of Thailand before it has a chance to grow strong and Jatuporn vows to defend it.
I hate to say it but the color of destiny is red.

This monk was already condemned and defrocked in abstentia by the Buddhist order. He is a traitor to Buddhism and a traitor of Thailand. This monk has supervised torture and beatings of police and red shirts. They should have arrested him on the spot.
He reminds me of monks in Myanmar that lead frenzied crowds to murder Rohingya.

I can almost guarantee it will not be enforced at airports that would reduce tourist numbers in half and what will they do with thousands of non visa arrivals? Lock them up? It wont happen!
Impossible to say at this stage, who knows what ludicrous requirements will be imposed in August on the fly out fly in visa exemptions.
People such as oil and gas guys wont want to waste their valuable time off travelling to an embassy in another country then waiting for a visa just so they can have their month off. These blokes will be lost to other countries such as Cambodia and The PI who still have sane and workable visa policies. Their departure will be a enormous financial blow to Phuket.Looks like visa on arrival could soon be history.
People have to get a visa which makes more money for the bent officials.
Does anyone know how much a visa is these days?
wont be back to back will it ...as there will be a 2 week or one month break when they are working so if they are 2 week on 2 week off there is no continuence
What they should do however is offer a two month visa on arrival that would solve that problem.
No arrival without visa would put Thailand into the same group as India China Vietnam not likely.

I hate to say it but he brought this upon himself since he did not perform his duty as an impartial and honest judge but simply rubberstamped a predetermined judgement made by his yellow paymasters thus plunging the credibility of the Thai judiciary to an all time low which is now being seriously ridiculed by international media.
Everybody who is saying this the work of typical red shirt scum should remember that there have been acts of violence on both sides and everybody knows there is a violent fringe on both sides.
This is to be expected...Duh?

She did not loose face at all in fact she looks even better as an honest and beautiful woman in contrast to the bald headed old farts who comprise a court that is now the laughing stock of the international community. What final clash?
The final battle was already over yesterday, and SUTHEP won.
Yingluck loose face and already packing (for Dubai I guess).
She has not yet been banned from politics and unless she is found guilty which she will be of course over the rice pledge scheme she can come back and win another election as soon as July unless it does not take place which of course it won't. Either way she will not be going to Dubai as she has commited no crimes.

You wanna bet 10,000 baht its not over by Saturday? He urged the red shirts to join the mass rally on Saturday as earlier planned and said that the mass rally would continue until the red shirts win the battle.
Well, by Saturday the battle may well be over. In that case, just forget any more rallies and simply accept the court ruling. THAT would be the 'honorable' thing to do.

Really sad.

Yes but they cap it at 20,000 so its not so terrible is it?I was in intensive care on life support.
[snip]
My wife went to khon kaen immigration unhelp yes. fined us 20,000 baht for 35 days overstay. Gave us 30 extention.
/editorial comment/
It's unbelievable that there isn't some sort of hardship exception to the overstay fine in extreme situations like this. Profiting from a near-death incident like this is ghoulish.
You love to hate Thailand dont you?
But its really a fair deal after all is it not?

Its not a scam. They do a legal service for a fair price that would save someone in his condition allot of running around. Have you never heard of immigration lawyers? Thats what they do and its legal.<script type='text/javascript'>window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());</script>
Hi very sorry to hear you had such a bad accident. Do you mind telling us what happened?
I can lay on my back and have a retirement extension done by a lawyer why not you?
It costs about 6,000 to 10,000 in Chiangmai.
They take care of all the details.
There is no need for the OP to involve himself with doubtful "lawyer" scams which cost a substantial amount more than the 1900 Bht required for an extension.
All he will get on this forum are confusing and conflicting answers but an immigration lawyer will take care of everything including the letter from the hospital.
If he can afford to live in a hospital for 7 months he obviously can afford the lawyers fee.

I agree it makes sence that Siam legal is getting alot of advertising from this webste and they would not want get their reputation ruined on this forum plus they seem to be super professional in their advertising.I am in exactly the same boat. Not only did my lawyer take my money and do nothing, she is now representing my ex husband. Try the guys who give free advise here. Siam legal. They seem to know what they are doing. Good luck with it. You are really going to need it.

Well then please tell us who you think did it?
Kamol was famous for his campain against les majeste.
Back in the 70s the army used to burn people alive and throw them out of helicopters.

Looks like Abhisit and Yingluck will carry the torch of democracy and compromise and Suthep will be committed to a mental institution.I wondering Ahbisit and Yingluck goes ahead with the new election. Suthep is still firm on his objective.
What if turn out is a shocking result at the voting date that majority either no turn up or vote 'no-vote'.
So how is the political crisis by then?
