  1. I never did really understand the whole finacial advisor thing

Have someone else decide what to do with my hard earned money and win or loose they still get paid.

And in the case of American Wall street a few years back. Loose big and still get bonuses ?

:whistling: Hay can I be your advisor ? No chance I could ever loose as much as they did and I really could use a bonus

  2. Good post my friend but pointless, nothing will be done too many people taking a cut, you might as well pray that the tuk tuks in phuket will lower their prices it aint going to happen, so sad.

Everyone can comment and like the post on Itthiphol Kunplome (Pattaya's mayor) Facebook! http://www.facebook.com/#!/PattayaFuture

The more we talk about it, the more embarrassing it is and one day, maybe they will stop the scammers.

Post after post on his wall talking about crime and scams in Pattaya. But never a reply. I wonder if my post will be removed ?

  3. The roads should be better marked and signed with speed restrictions, and better policed. .. by police who do serious police work and don't take bribes, and who don't just target farangs.

If you remove the non seiouse Police, and the ones who take bribes, as well as the one who target farangs, does that leave any left ot inforce the laws ?:whistling:

  4. I think it boils down to there being no investment value in Thai homes. Unlike the west (except recent bubble burst)housing doesn't increase in value so Thai's may not be interested in maintaining or improving their property. They don't like buying second hand homes because there isn't big face in it for them unlike new homes.

More second hand homes as you say, are sold in thailand than new.

Personally I have broke even on 1 home I sold quickly and make up to 100% profit in one year on another home. All the others over the last 8 years I made some profit. Just have to be wise about your investment and take care of your property.

  5. You are totally right, doing all the visa runs and all the stress is worth only a little less then getting an ED visa with a reputable language school.

Walen School - try us and we will not let you down

Ps. with Walen it is possible to study totally for free.

Tell us how ? pls jap.gif

Yes Mr. Walen tell us how ? I really do want to study Thai and I really don't need a visa but I am interested in what you said

  6. Try Sanga Locksmiths. I know they do housecalls and can cut keys in their service vehicle.Shop is located on the left hand side of the moat next to the start of Wau Lai Rd. 081-6716491 or 053-271768. They do not speak very much english so you will need your wife or G/F to call them.

Called him up today and he was out in 30 minutes spot on to what he said. he quoted a price I thought was OK -

I will let you know about his quality of work... in a few hours

    Thanks for everyones help

    :jap:

  8. I want to re key all my lock on my home to use the same key. Yes all the locks are the same kind and brand. I just want 1 key and not 7 for each and every door.

Does any one know a good key shop that makes house calls (South west side of canal road near Queens garden) that can do this work ?

I really don't want to take every lock off and take them to the shop to be re keyed

Thanks for any help in advance

  9. In town on a side Soi of 12 sq.m. undecorated should be about 3000 Bt. ($100 USD)

If you have a Thai friend have them make the calls and help. They see you and the price goes up.

This is a basic room, store front, side street. about 12 sq.m. with basic toilet

usually 1 year lease. with 1 or 2 months deposit. You pay extra for power and water.

This is what I have found.

  10. I did not catch were you are at. Pricing of my pool 7 x 14 with tile and filters and all is less than you said in Chiang Mai

My pool in Pattaya slightly smaller was about 400,000 tile and filter and all.

Seems you need to check around more
