Although I detest Islam as evil and divisive I do like staying in a Hotel with a lot of Muslim guests, as we did last week in Bangkok. For one thing it means the menus are more extensive. Another positive is that they are not likely to come back at 3.a.m drunk and causing a noise, or worse have a new 'girlfriend' in tow then keep you up half the night while they get their monies worth. Muslim visitors are OK by me.

Posters saying they never had a problem is a bit like saying they never had a heart attack so kind of doubt people saying they had one. Corruption is a daily on going crime in a lot of offices, just from what we see posted on here.

Saw lots of it being installed around our house a few years ago, guys were drilling into it and sawing it, no face masks at all. Sure the white stuff is not as deadly as the brown or blue stuff, but it is not entirely safe either.

I was not aware of asbestos was widely being used here. I have cut many a floor tile and many cement board products since moving here.
Dont suppose the health department would even consider putting warning labels on these products containing asbestos to at least give the consumer a choice.
Just a related story from last year about the use of lead in just about every brand of Thai paint. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/676309-high-level-of-lead-found-in-many-paints-in-thailand/
You must be blind, almost every other house has asbestos tiles on extensions and asbestos walls cutting them off from next door, it's all over the place. Siam Cement makes it all.

why not one example of how people have been misled,? there must be many according to him

Had 12 refuse us at Suk soi 7 on Friday, long 25k trip. Decided to go to klong Toey instead, short trip, 200 baht was offered for a 60 baht ride, lazy cheating scum, on this occasion at least. The 14th cab stopped agreed to go on the meter, but then proceeded to moan about his lot, how much the taxi hire cost him etc. Must give the tourists a really good impression of the country! Nobody forces them to drive a taxi, but having chosen to they need to at least obey the laws governing there operation.

Yet another case where the rules do not state something is needed but where some officers make their own rules up, will they ever abide by the actual laws of the land? I'd like to see a written rule that says 5 pp copies are needed just to do a 90 day report.

Isn't this the one where she sold the vehicle on the same day it was involved in the accident?.... sounds dodgy
No this is not the one, her car has been proved to have never been in the accident by Toyota and others

I remember when I was 12 and we were playing spin the bottle at school and the teacher was playing as well and he kissed a few girls.
Everyone thought it was cool back then.

The story doesn't make clear why she was convicted in the first place.
Cos this is Thailand, in any country with a legal system based on real evidence she would never have been in court in the first place. Now this case is farcical and the Police are making bigger fools of themselves due to an instability to admit their incompetence . Not only witnesses who say it was a man behind the wheel, but even the man himself, and proven the car was never in an accident, the evidence is overwhelming in her favor, but the song and dance drags on.
Tourism minister hopes more Muslim visitors will be lured to Thailand
