Do it by mail from abroad. You dont need to be there when HR is renewing the visa. Once done mail it back to sender.

Received electric bill today (always 23rd) due for payment next month.
3% reduction reduced the record high to only 10,000 baht.
No 50% reduction for usage over 800 units recorded.
Same here! From what I have read so far is that it will be deducted and in effect from the next cycle onwards.

Monday/Wednesday and Fridays are the worst in Bangkok for inbound traffic. I find Tue and Thursday very pleasant. Surely the rain does not help and with the massive road construction going on at the Bridge near Klongtoy things are packing in

Its was just as bad 20 years ago if not worse. However at those times we did not have the proper equipment available to us measuring it. Even up to 1 year ago the Govt was issuing AQI Index based on the China Index CN AQI which is totally absurd.
Here in Bangkok they keep the Polluting busses of the roads during daytime. As soon as the sun sets those polluting busses come out to play.
They could certainly do way better however the current situation of wrong wind directions if any wind at all are not helping anybody.

I have applied once for a Non-O based on children in Myanmar. Just simply because I wanted a change of scenery.
Loved the city and the Thai embassy (consulate) where the friendliest in the world. With not 1 sole in the whole building they rather looked strange seeing me walk in. LOL
Asked politely how to apply for a Non-O. They took my paperwork and asked me to come back in 2 hours as the staff had to ask the Ambassador first as they were not sure. Came back in and was told all ok. Come back tomorrow to pick up the Visa.
Now please note. This was last year. Not sure what has changed in myanmar since. Maybe email them?

In Vientiane they have the following Rules:
1: Original Birth Certificate
2: Copy Birth Certificate
3: Copy ID card (if kid over 8 year old)
4: House Book registration Copy of kid/mom
5: Copies of your passport etc
6: Bank Statements from the last 6 months
Not sure why in Savannakhét the rules are much more relaxed.

Actually on my last visit to Vientiane to do a visa based on Thai Child I was asked to show a statement from the past 6 months. They did not require a balance of 200K Baht but an oversight that you bring in money regularly. When you print it out from your Bank Online you will have the total incoming and outgoing in the summary. This was sufficient for them.
I was however told that on my next visit an original birth certificate alone was no longer sufficient and should also produce an ID card or Passport of the child.

I myself have a Non-O based on Child and been pulled aside by immigration when I entered by flight at Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Immigration officer (female) went through my passport for 10 minutes. Puffing away and clearly upset without saying a word. As the queue grew behind me she called a supervisor and I was taken away.
Was seated with an older much nicer immigration lady who asked me all sorts of questions such as: You work here? How you make your money to stay with your daughter? It was quite upsetting as I have the correct Visa and clearly not a tourist. Am not looking like a retired person as still in my early 40's.
Only when I pulled out the medical records of my daughter suffering from Leukemia Cancer and is stationed at Chlua Hospital I was allowed to enter and no further questions were asked. Needless to say. I have since then avoided entering that airport like the plague although in my situation not entirely possible to stay away. Just hate flying in through Suvarnabhumi. Only ever take immigration queues with male officers. LOL

Hello Ray,
Did you ask for a multiple entry ? And was it your first visa or not, in Ventiane ?
Could tell me why you did choose Vientiane, rather than Penang for instance ?
The money rule is still 400 000 THB, in Vientiane ?
And last question : is there any visa agent in Ventiane that could handle such visa request ? Is it advisable to use an agent or not ?
I am in the same situation than you : i will go end of october to take a new multiple non O (thai child, not married)... I used to go to Penang, but it's important to look at all alternatives.
And hopefully i read your message about the... original birth certificate new rule !
After my visa rejection I searched Thai visa and found an announcement feom somebody made by the Thai Embassy in Vientiane. But that would only take affect as from Oct 15th. As mentioned earlier the staff just shrugged it off saying we been doing this since September already. Shame no earlier reports came in about this. So yeah bring your original Documents. I did have my daughters original passport with me but that was not required. Let's see what happens tomorrow entering Thailand with a tourist visa....
Been doing the Non O runs for 1.5 years since my daughter was hospitalised with leukemia cancer so am pretty much stuck until she gets in remission. Doing a 1 year you can do in cheang wattana but for me it's not an option since the ex refuses to come with me.

There was an announcement made by The Thai embassy in Vientiane that copies of birth certificate are no longer allowed and originals must be shown starting from October 15th.
Today my visa application for Non-O (Thai child, not married) was rejected based on the new rule starting Oct 15, even its only Oct 08.
I actually did not know about new rule until I got there today.
So there you go. Bring originals with you!
p.s. They gave me a tourist via instead and I suspect its only getting worse with the new Boss as the Head of immigration. Also on Mondays it usual very busy at the embassy in Vientiane but today there was hardly anything going on. Have those visa running offices been told something?

I have been staying here on Non-O (based on supporting a Thai daughter) visa's for awhile and the last time I flew in I was almost kicked out as well.
The woman looked at my passport and said: Too many time you come. Go to supervisor. Supervisor asked me a lot of questions and finally let me in on my Non-O visa.
Asked her if what I was doing was illegal. She said in principle not but if you want to stay here you need to get another kind of visa. Asked her what one she said: Open company and get WP. LOL!!!
So right now I am also debating if they let me in the next time.

Somehow fuxxed up and forgot that today is the last day of my Non-O.
I know I can extend it for 60 days with the right paperwork and bringing my child with me. However this is right now not an option and would like to know if it is possible to get a 7 day extension? Or must I fly out and renew?
Cheers

Went to the 3BB service center around the corner as their service number 1530 was not working either. Confirmed that they have problems. Only access possible is by using a VPN account.
Could not answer when it would be solved again.

Try do this in the western world. You will loose your kids to childcare instantly.

Ahhh! The rivers of gold that were promised are starting to flow without the officer having to sully themselves by actually confronting a hostile public.
Next step will be collection of the fines. That could prove the challenge. How many of those caught still live at the address on their paperwork for the vehicle they were piloting? If in fact the owner was the person in charge of the vehicle at the time. The rivers of gold may slow to a trickle if these issues are not resolved unless the police decide to just play the numbers game.
If you dont pay the fine they wont renew the road tax on your car. The bill will be presented when turning up one way or the other.

You will need less than a page to extend your entry for 60 days to visit your wife or child.
If you have a multiple entry non-o visa you can get another 90 day entry from it as long as you do it on or before the enter before date on it.
Thanks! Much appreciated!

Trying to figure out how many free pages I need to extend my visa. I only have 2 pages left and my embassy requires 5 weeks to renew my passport. Time I don't have and with 2 pages left I can't fly out and apply for a new one so my only option is to extend my Non-O Family based visa at the immigration for 2 months which than allows me plenty of time to get a new passport.
1: Called Immigration at several numbers but no answer
2. Called 1111 Help line and they gave me the same numbers that wont answer
Anybody knows how many empty pages I need to extend my current visa?
Many thanks in advance

Just done my Non O based on child and no hassles at all. Super friendly people. No long lines. In and out in 10 minutes. USD80 must be crisp notes. Also application forms are not for Non O. Just fill in the form given and let them know at the counter.
Now that Air Asia flies direct at 870 baht it's the best place to go and hang out. Return flight at 5pm means you have plenty of time to pick up the visa and get to the airport.

I have a similar situation with Non-O / WP. However I just paid all through the months even if there was zero business. The offices were open as usual.
