Next step will be collection of the fines. That could prove the challenge. How many of those caught still live at the address on their paperwork for the vehicle they were piloting? If in fact the owner was the person in charge of the vehicle at the time. The rivers of gold may slow to a trickle if these issues are not resolved unless the police decide to just play the numbers game.

If you dont pay the fine they wont renew the road tax on your car. The bill will be presented when turning up one way or the other.

Trying to figure out how many free pages I need to extend my visa. I only have 2 pages left and my embassy requires 5 weeks to renew my passport. Time I don't have and with 2 pages left I can't fly out and apply for a new one so my only option is to extend my Non-O Family based visa at the immigration for 2 months which than allows me plenty of time to get a new passport.

1: Called Immigration at several numbers but no answer

2. Called 1111 Help line and they gave me the same numbers that wont answer

Anybody knows how many empty pages I need to extend my current visa?

Just done my Non O based on child and no hassles at all. Super friendly people. No long lines. In and out in 10 minutes. USD80 must be crisp notes. Also application forms are not for Non O.  Just fill in the form given and let them know at the counter.

Now that Air Asia flies direct at 870 baht it's the best place to go and hang out. Return flight at 5pm means you have plenty of time to pick up the visa and get to the airport.

Cant be that bad for being #1 on Tripadvisor for years!

Your child's mother's ID card is not a normal requirement to get a 60 day extension. You should only need their birth certificate plus a copy and a copy of their house book registry.

AN Update!

Went today for my extension. No ID required as per ubonjoe. However they came up with something new. Where is your daughter? My Daughter has leukemia cancer and is stationed in the hospital. She cant come! Look at the letters I have from the Hospital..... Answer Immigration. NOPE! You need to bring her here! Me: HOW? She is not allowed to be in rooms with people! She is the freaking ICU!!!!

Ok, no problems... You call her and make picture with her and newspaper... Me again. She is in ICU!!!! No papers or people allowed in!!!

I said... If I go and make a pictures when she out of ICU than my visa expired. Immigration: No problems. You pay overstay and we extend...

Now I know that is BS because when your visa runs out its impossible to extend... And this was a higher up ranked person at immigration that fed me this BS crap today...

I need to extend my Non-O based on my Thai child in Thailand (who is hospitalized). In the past when I was on good terms with my daughters mom there was never a problem into getting a copy of her ID card. However this time around she flat out refuses to give me a copy of her ID Card.

I have all other documents required, Hospital Letter, Court Ruling, PP.11 form from district, copy house book, birth certificate etc etc. but just the ID Card copy of my daughters mom is missing.

Will I have any chance in extending my Non-O for 60 days or will I be sent on my way?

So its gotten a lot cheaper. I remember a friend coming from Holiday on his bike from Sweden (world tour) and had to pay 200% of the moto's value to enter thailand. Reimbursed when leaving... This clearly is the cheaper option.

Family court, go first before she does and get a lawyer appointed by the court. If they willing to take your case that is. At least she will received a letter from court so she will know you willing to fight for your daughter. As for 20K a month dont go that way! No need to spent that much. She is the one that did a runner and not you.....

To be honest a court case against the finance company will fail.. so the only option is a court case against the friend that bought the car and did not pay. You have to see if that "friend" has any money because otherwise the court case is for nothing.

The court case against the finance wont fail. The judge will set a min of payment due monthly as low as Baht 500.- Also the car will be auctioned of by the finance company. Not 100% sure on what your friend has paid of sofar. You might as well take over the finance and sell the car.

There are consumer protection laws in place in Thailand and the cooling off period is 7 days after signing. Should that not work just visit the consumer protection office. They will mediate between you and the company you signed with.

Dont issue a receipt.. or if you do issue a receipt than state clearly that this receipt is only valid once the money clears. Both sign on the receipt and its done. Still not guarantees you get the cash but at least you have back up once things get nasty.

Why did you not walk back the 100 meters and got a refund from the shop you purchased it from? I would have done that regardless boarding or not. Or at least open it up and flush it on the floor instead of handing it over.

No need to go to a lawyer. Go straight to family court and explain the situation. If they accept your case you will be given a lawyer appointed by court. They are good and know what they doing as they deal only with those cases. Costs next to nothing too. To get custody of my child I did it the same way. Lawyers cost were 2500 Baht minus 700 baht refund as he said it was a easy case for him.

Dont waste time and walk in there tomorrow.

You are allowed to get a work permit and work with your current extension of stay, I suggest you apply for another one year extension if you can meet the financial requirements.

To apply for the 60 day extension your child needs to be with you when you apply. You will need their birth certificate plus a copy and a copy of their house book registry. You may also be asked for proof of residence.

Thanks! Am not married. I guess a copy of rental contract could do for proof of residence. Housebook copy I have all. My best guess is that it will be a 2-3 trip adventure than. LOL

With a Thai Child you can get a 60 day extension at Immigration. 1,900 baht.

Thanks for letting me post here. Am a bit lost on what the correct procedure is. The situation is as following.

I had a 3 month Non-O visa last year and was extended for 1 year. It is running out on Nov 30th. The thing is that I have opened a Co., Ltd and I now want to proceed getting my WP. However the remaining time on my current extension is not enough for me to get this done in time.

So my question is: Can I extend my current extension for another 30 or 60 days so that I have enough time to proceed with the WP? Please note that my Non-O is based on supporting my child here.
