And the neighboring country of Cambodia has done what Thailand should do as just one of the steps.

    Also India is doing something:

In 2018, India earmarked $177.61m for two years to give farmers a

subsidy to buy equipment, such as mulching and seed drilling machines,

that dispose of crop waste without burning it.

For the 2020-2021 fiscal year, the government allocated $746m in farm

equipment subsidies. Farmers say lengthy bureaucratic processes to claim

the subsidies forces them to burn their crop waste.

    You'll never walk alone,

    Yes, you're right. But...

I have been short of breath since Saturday 3 a.m.

That night severe pain while lying on the left side

and on the back, breathing a bit deeper or coughing.

    This has remained till today.

    ER and laboratory already done.

    Will see the Pulmonologist tomorrow.

By the way, you might find some facts to PM2.5

since Jan 15  2020 in the Chiang Rai Forum -

The very northern part of Thailand, Chiang Rai,

Phayao, Nan, Phrae and surrounding areas.

This has changed a minute ago from AQI 61 to AQi 148.

This is most likely a Thai issue curranty.

    May be, of course, today.

I saw these grey/dark clouds  coming from NE already in November.

Now they are here, they build a layer(?) to all the other influences.

    What do you think?

    image.png.fe92955b7fcca899e02f391d69adb971.png

No, it's not only this sugar cane burning etc. ...

                               ****************

  7. So there are only two options:

All the farmers in Bangkok are burning their rice-, sugar cane- etc. straw these days.

Or, the air pollution might travel into Bangkok from somewhere.

    2 possibilities: from left/west, India.

    From north east/right from China.

We should be happy, it's not too bad in the moment...

airpurifiers are no match for the fine dust of kitti litter and cat fur ....

FlorC, are you sure? Could it be you would need a new filter?

We have got another Xiaomi device today. - Really good.

It's name is 3C, while we wanted a 2S. - OK, both of them.

Please don't forget: the windows and the doors should be closed while the air purifier is running.

Very important too, the room/house should be insulated carefully against PM2.5 -invaders...

    air purifier, a PM2.5-meter and a N95-mask

(there are several threads on ThaiVisa)
