  1. Haven't seen any feedback yet about how Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaches back to individuals about unclear or missing documentation, like in your case. Hopefully, and likely easiest for you is they send an email requesting your passport photo page, and you'll be able to attach it to the reply email and send it that way.
  2. Great share, thanks ???? That question nails exactly what I was musing about yesterday re: potential inter-Ministry drop synch. At any rate, MoFA gets a bravo zulu from me on putting this functional registration platform together.
  3. 90-day website function worked once for me roughly 2014 or 15 (I think), and never again since then. UbonJoe (Immigration sub-forum Mod) told me back then it was probably because I'd gotten a new passport, which I had, and if/when I left the country and re-entered, it should reset something and work thereafter. I flew out for a holiday on the usual Re-Entry Permit procedure, returned, still didn't work; including with Internet Explorer, which was the flavor of the month at that time for this issue. Asked one of the kids at my Immigration office about it, once, a few years ago, but they just directed me to the Immigration website. Given up since then. Immi office is only a 30 minute drive away, but I do feel for the older guys with medical/mobility problems in my area.
  4. Yes, I registered on the ExpatVac site yesterday. Just to be clear on the second half of that comment you've replied to, it's since emerged that the mate I referred to with the appt in April 2022, had previously registered in one of the other vaccination platforms, not this new ExpatVac site.
  5. No, I wouldn't go down to BKK. Registered on ExpatVac yesterday, so if/when I get an appointment email, will report back here with details.
  6. Same here, using Windows 10 & Firefox. A few suggestions in previous pages. As noted, I put both scan images side-by-side on a single Powerpoint slide (Impress/LibreOffice), saved it as a JPEG, then attached that single file.
  7. After a few other reports on here, up in CM in particular, wonder if the batches of Pfizer from Murica, which I presume will be received in Bangkok, will be allocated around the country according to the foreigners with a confirmed slot via this new MoFA website process. That sounds like a lot of coordination and logistics. Functioning website to register is great, love it! Actually executing the operation, is another kettle of fish.
  8. Yep, after fiddling with dysfunctional Immigration websites over the years, admit I was skeptical about this one at first, but pleasantly surprised in the end. Right....the good old Visa vs. Extension gotcha - always a crowd pleaser here. It's such a common faux pas that I, and probably the vast majority here, knew what MoFA meant and what they wanted. Immigration is completely disinterested in my USED S.E. Non-O Visa from 2012, so the idea that MoFA would be, in this context, never occurred to me.
  9. Wow! Be interesting to run a camera snake down into the soi drains in my area. Wouldn't doubt finding 8' Pythons and who knows what else down there. Those guys cleaning the drains in Bangkok by hand, deserve a medal for bravery.
  10. Thankfully wife is fairly conscientious about pouring used oil into a jar or container of some type, but oh yeah, the rice and bits of other things that get washed down the drain. Also do the sink fill/wash through from time to time between trap cleanings. Also let the bathroom sink water run a bit longer after brushing teeth - that trap gets pretty gross after a while too. ????
  11. @Saltire Ahhh, looks like I may have conflated two separate processes. My wife knows this guy's wife and just told me they'd registered through some previous Thai website or App, so that's why he already had an appointment date when we were chatting yesterday, and why it's so far into the future. Maybe. I don't know. Anyway........
  12. Huh! I was using the Browse function and 2nd file replaced the first, at least on mine - Desktop Win10. Tried it twice, then went to the PP work around.
  13. I'll have to take your word for it. Sounds like you want to nitpick this website interface to death, and that's fine, but I'm going to bounce from this exchange with you. ///
  14. Not really. Countryside for sure, but only about 20 minute drive outside large city.
  15. Dunno but yes, that's what I was thinking. His comment made me do a double take as well, so I asked him again - April! Wow! Didn't see his email confirmation personally, he's not a smart phone kind of guy, but had no reason to doubt him. Did suggest he follow up somehow, especially given his age and underlying med condition.
  16. Right, he's over 70 and has some medical issues as well, so April 2022 is nuts. I'm well under 60, so I expect to be not just at the back of the line, but out the back door, somewhere on the loading dock. ????
  17. Well, when it comes to Thai Gov websites, the bar is low. LOL. Attachment function ought to be an easy fix, but meh, wasn't difficult to work around. Now, let's see what my appointment date is. Mate of mine told me he got his appointment date email..... APRIL 2022! If mine ends up being so far in the future, can't help but consider the potential for a Sinovac bait and switch. We'll see how it goes. ????
  18. Maybe noted in another topic/thread about attaching scan or photo of passport and permission to stay extension. 2 attachments didn't show on the screen, so I combined both objects onto a Powerpoint slide then exported/"Save As" as a single JPEG file. Appears to have worked, registration successful, wait for appointment date email. Functional website and registration process. Nice! Immigration could learn a thing or two from these guys. ????
  19. it's all relative to our time here. Previous batch of guys in Thailand always had their best times, in their time here. I've had plenty, and in the past 6 months, 3 of our number have died suddenly from liver cancer, after years on the good times with Leo, Chang, et al. I'm quite sure there will be a few more to follow. Living the dream, as they say, until we chuck you into the big pizza oven at the Wat. Small words murmured amongst us, and then it just doesn't matter anymore. And so we carry on, as we do, hoisting a Leo in your honor, as if it matters. As if it ever did.
  20. I was never all that enthusiastic about Thailand, however, for the first 5 or so years here, felt mostly satisfied and comfortable flying back in from annual trips abroad. That ebbed with each passing year though. Last return to BKK (pre-Covid), I stared out the window of the car as we drove out of Swampy and found myself grimacing at the grit and grime of it all. But, like coups and gubmint dysfunction, that's part of the tapestry in this part of the world. While I've been mentally ready to bounce for the last 3 or 4 years, everything's paid for and we have a fairly uncomplicated, comfortable lifestyle, so I'm afraid it's become a bit too easy to stay and float along day to day. The Comfortable Old Shoe syndrome. Soon as the mandatory arrival quarantine is lifted, or reduced significantly, we'll be feet wet and outta here for a mental reset, and see how it goes from there.
