I didn't have those skills, it got my visa page only...

Haven't seen any feedback yet about how Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaches back to individuals about unclear or missing documentation, like in your case.   Hopefully, and likely easiest for you is they send an email requesting your passport photo page, and you'll be able to attach it to the reply email and send it that way.

A recent update from Tanee Sangkrat twitter. Promising?

35.5 K registered at 6 pm last night.

'Up to provincial health offices' though.

Great share, thanks ????    That question nails exactly what I was musing about yesterday re: potential inter-Ministry drop synch.  At any rate, MoFA gets a bravo zulu from me on putting this functional registration platform together.

Is that appointment from the new expatvax consular registration.?

Yes, I registered on the ExpatVac site yesterday.

Just to be clear on the second half of that comment you've replied to, it's since emerged that the mate I referred to with the appt in April 2022, had previously registered in one of the other vaccination platforms, not this new ExpatVac site.

I also posted this in the other thread, so if it is cross posting then delete it.

Question for those foreigners that live in Isarn and that registered on ExpatVac.

Suppose the appointment comes via Email and the location is set to Bangkok / Bang Sue.

    Would you go?

No, I wouldn't go down to BKK.  Registered on ExpatVac yesterday, so if/when I get an appointment email, will report back here with details.

I tried drag & drop and also the browse function, each time, the second image replaced the one already there.

I noticed that at the bottom left-hand corner of the picture in the frame there was a "+" sign. Thought maybe that was how you added a 2nd image but that had no effect when clicked. Hovered the mouse over it and it displayed a message saying the image hadn't completed loading yet. After several tries I left the form open for 30 minutes, came back to it and it still said the image hadn't loaded yet. The image size was only 1.18M.

Given that some on here say they had no problem to load more than one image, I'm thinking that maybe the problem is browser dependent.

Same here, using Windows 10 & Firefox.  A few suggestions in previous pages.  As noted, I put both scan images side-by-side on a single Powerpoint slide (Impress/LibreOffice), saved it as a JPEG, then attached that single file.

    Actually it indicates the opposite.

After a few other reports on here, up in CM in particular, wonder if the batches of Pfizer from Murica, which I presume will be received in Bangkok, will be allocated around the country according to the foreigners with a confirmed slot via this new MoFA website process.

That sounds like a lot of coordination and logistics.   Functioning website to register is great, love it!  Actually executing the operation, is another kettle of fish.

Confusing, but would we expect anything else? I simply attached both and was told my application was successful. But I'm still expecting an email telling me the application isn't complete. Still, as you say, apart from the confusion you highlight it all ran smoothly. This is my third application via various methods, and having heard nothing after the last two I'm not holding my breath, but it's promising.

One thing I noticed was that it mentioned visas but not extensions, even though we are constantly told on this site by those who apparently know better than government offices that an extension is not a visa. As far as registering on the site, they are one and the same. I guess. Otherwise, again, I might get an email asking for correct info and/or that extensions don't count.

Yep, after fiddling with dysfunctional Immigration websites over the years, admit I was skeptical about this one at first, but pleasantly surprised in the end.

Right....the good old Visa vs. Extension gotcha - always a crowd pleaser here.  It's such a common faux pas that I, and probably the vast majority here, knew what MoFA meant and what they wanted.  Immigration is completely disinterested in my USED S.E. Non-O Visa from 2012, so the idea that MoFA would be, in this context, never occurred to me.

Wow!  Be interesting to run a camera snake down into the soi drains in my area.  Wouldn't doubt finding 8' Pythons and who knows what else down there.  Those guys cleaning the drains in Bangkok by hand, deserve a medal for bravery.

  9. Thankfully wife is fairly conscientious about pouring used oil into a jar or container of some type, but oh yeah, the rice and bits of other things that get washed down the drain.  Also do the sink fill/wash through from time to time between trap cleanings.  Also let the bathroom sink water run a bit longer after brushing teeth - that trap gets pretty gross after a while too.  ????

Not really.  Countryside for sure, but only about 20 minute drive outside large city.

@Saltire  Ahhh, looks like I may have conflated two separate processes.   My wife knows this guy's wife and just told me they'd registered through some previous Thai website or App, so that's why he already had an appointment date when we were chatting yesterday, and why it's so far into the future.  Maybe.  I don't know.  Anyway........

Surely this is a mistake? Does the USA donated Pfizer have a really long shelf life? Maybe the Pfizer for this scheme is not from that donation but anticipation of buying in the future. I hope not?

Dunno but yes, that's what I was thinking.

His comment made me do a double take as well, so I asked him again - April!  Wow!

Didn't see his email confirmation personally, he's not a smart phone kind of guy, but had no reason to doubt him.  Did suggest he follow up somehow, especially given his age and underlying med condition.

  12. it's all relative to our time here.  Previous batch of guys in Thailand always had their best times, in their time here.  I've had plenty, and in the past 6 months, 3 of our number have died suddenly from liver cancer, after years on the good times with Leo, Chang, et al.

I'm quite sure there will be a few more to follow.  Living the dream, as they say, until we chuck you into the big pizza oven at the Wat.  Small words murmured amongst us, and then it just doesn't matter anymore.  And so we carry on, as we do, hoisting a Leo in your honor, as if it matters.  As if it ever did.

  13. IMO, there is no 'purpose'.  That is a man-made construct we've been conditioned to in various ways, depending on where you were born, ethnicity, culture, societal organization, and for many, the additional lens of a manufactured religion.

Otherwise, we are animals in the natural system.  We are born, try to survive, reproduce, and would still be dying at a much younger age if we were living as intended, before modernization and intervention of medical science.

As each successive generation gets older than nature intended, its members often yearn for the simpler times of their youth, feeling they are no longer a part of the increasingly chaotic world around them, and that they've had enough of it.

They may well be onto something.
