  1. The games for tonight on TV are advertised as;

    Chelsea v Athletico

    Real V Milan

    Wot no Manu(re)?

this is because Utd kick off at 11.30pm Thai time.

Maybe they are not showing it at 11.30 cos they would have to change their usual tv schedule.

If they kicked off at the same time do u really think that they would show a small club like Chelsea instead of Utd.

    dream on :)

What a pathetically stoopid thing to say. I would think that the top matches are Manchester United & Chelsea.........Still if like you say, kick off is 11.30, then Thai TV can not afford to miss it. BKK Post up the creek again. It will be on somewhere.

Stoopid eh,Not as stupid as you lot thinking you are a big club.

where were you, when you were s....... :D

  3. For me it was the FA cup replay 1983, Brighton vs Man Utd. The last match i ever watched of my home team. They were completely outclassed but the atmosphere was brilliant.

Nidge don't know if you can remember but Stevie foster, Stevie foster what a difference you have made what a difference you have made. Also your lot did my head in with seagulls seagulls. I was only 13 at the time and it was a great atmo.

    1. Barca at OT in early eighties. Maradona and schuster were playing for them and we beat them 3 0 after being 2.0 down from the first leg. Have some great memories of good atmo at OT in the eighties but sadly as at other grounds nowadays, it the prawn sarnie mob who rule :D

2.In Rotterdam 91 cup winners cup final v barca. pissing down and singing oh sit down oh sit down from the band James.

    3. fa cup semi finals 85 v liverpool at goodison park and maine road reply were good.

    4. sheff wed at home 92/93 when brucie scored twice in the last 5 mins when we knew our long wait for the league was coming to an end (Yes, mr Bo, it was in injury time :) )

    5. Cystal Palace night match won 2.0 and coming out of the ground singing now your gonna believe us, we're gonna win the league. the train journey home was mint also.

    the list could go on

Always enjoyed anfield, west ham away in the eighties, early ninties also

  4. But is this money needed to pay off some of the debt used to buy the club.

Whoever ManU try to buy now will cost a lot more then they did a day ago now theyve this money, and Ribery certainly isnt a 40 million GBP player.

Seems as if Real have confirmed theyre a bigger club and draw then ManU.

well they are now they've got 200m to spend and have just bought kaka. :D

it always was a bigger draw in fairness to him. he's from portugal, real madrid are simply bigger and more famous there than united ever were or could be.

stevie, i suppose a bit like liverpool in the 70s and 80s when you won everything but your fans knew then that you would never be bigger than united or ever could be. :)

Great player for us, at the forefront of probably the greatest era in our history. The only ever player to win the WPOTY for United; progressed amazingly well while he was here. We've seen him go from raw exciting potential to the best player on the planet and I'm sure he's very thankful to everyone in the club who has helped him, we should be proud of his achievements individually (as well as for the team) because we helped majorly in making him the player he is.

He isn't a heart on the sleeve player, he isn't a put your life on the line player, he isn't a hard player and he isn't a player who you graze at the surface and see red. The flicks the tricks, the unpredictability of youth, the maturity into the worlds greatest, the petulance, the arrogance, the aura, the fulness of a footballers game, the 40 plus goals, the goal of his backside, the non celebratory celebrations, the champions league!

He's also left us with an amazing amount of money to spend on ringing in a new era at our club.

    Thanks for memories Ronnie

    in fergie we trust :D

  5. The fixtures come out very soon and I was wondering which teams you look forward to playing or look for first. When I was back in the UK watching Rotherham, I always looked for the boxing day and easter monday fixtures and hoped we got an away day on at least one of them, I also used to look at the local derbys, at the time we used to be in the Championship, same League as the Blades, the Owls and barnsley so they were the ones I looked for first, now unfortunatley its Chesterfield and Bradford.

    [/quo

    thaimiiler,

which date do they come out?

    Is it June 11th????????

i miss the footie already and it's only been a couple of weeks :)

    cheers,

    jjp

  6. the thing is Mr Bo, you have to be in it to win it :D

Come on then jjp. I want you to fess up. If City reached the final of the Champions League and was playing Barca for instance, who would you be shouting for? And answer honestly, as your reply could come and haunt you one day. :D:D

Mr Bo, dream on mate cos its never going to happen in our life time :D

If you went on a Utd forum ( go on you know u want to ) :) and looked at some of the thaivisa threads u

would see that we have held our hands up and admited we dont have the right to win everything cos we have to earn it.

Most of my utd friends and myself included admit that we got our arsed kicked by Barca cos we did not show up

expect for the first ten mins.

On another note, all the press <deleted> and the reaction from ABU's like yourself make me chuckle cos

remember it was only a year ago that we beat Barca over 2 legs and all of a sudden cos they beat us, we are falling a part etc.

We will be back next season and i will tell you why matey, its because when i saw fergies after match press conference you could see the

hurt in his eyes and on his face after getting beaten so i am confident that we will be up for number 19 and we will be

there or thereabouts in the latter stages of the UCL.

Enjoy the pre season rest Mr Bo cos next season, City will be where they always are, nowhere

    0

we dont expect to win everything

  7. I think you nicked that one from your Grandad Mr BJ...!

but whilst an "oldie" it still was light years ahead of the OP's attempt at humour.

    :D

The thing what i find really funny ken, is that the majority of United fans really can't take a joke (I'm not putting you in this category BTW). Being a City fan, we take the p1ss out of ourselves, we've had to learn to :)

However, with United fans, the majority can't take a joke and are so arrogant that they get right up my rectum and that it why i was cheering for a Spanish side the other night. If it had been ANY other English side in the final, I'd have been cheering for the English side. United fans really need to learn to be a tad more humble and realise there are other teams out there who also deserve to win things. When they realise that, they may start to learn to laugh along with other supporters. :D

bertie magoo the bitter blue strikes again.

Mr Bo, u have hit the nail on the head matey, if it would have been another English team u would have supported them so that answers your statement, does it not. We are hated by loads of supporters up and down the country, so can you blame us???

i can take a joke as can alot of Utd fans but the thing is that when u or most fans of other clubs get more of a buzz seeing us lose than seeing your own team win, it's really sad.

    tick tock :D

the thing is Mr Bo, you have to be in it to win it :D

  8. Amazing how after seeing their team outplayed and outclassed we still have delusional Man U people posting here trying to make the case for that team.

    Unbelievable.

They were rubbish and a disgrace.

Barcelona clearly not at full strength or power were in a different league.

Scholes ought to have been sent off and the whole squad, individually and collectively, were poor.

Or was I watching a different match!?

another person who seems to think that one game makes us rubbish and a disgrace. The only disgrace is you have posted such shit.

yes they deserved to win and yes we played poorly but to come out with a statememt like that just shows how much intelligence you have :)

  9. A footballing lesson from the catalans, united totally outclassed and outplayed.Wasn't so long ago everyone was talking about a possible quintet of trophys, they won the premier league purely and simply because Liverpool drew too many games at home, the standard of football united have played all season has been good, but by no means exquisite.

    MUFC,the decline starts now, RIP.

    PST.

  10. Cheers guys, yeah good shout, I know the Utd bar in Soi 11... and it's right next to Spicy Club which is always a bonus... oooh it's gonna be a messy one!!

See you down there then :)

    COME ON UTD!

had this email from the Londoner this morning

    Dear Khun John,

Just a quick note to let you know that we will not show the UEFA Champions League Final match next Wednesday.

I am sorry for your inconvenience.

However, please kindly let me know if you would like to see the FA Cup Final on Saturday 30th May at the Londoner. The game starts from 9 pm. Please kindly make a booking at 02-261-0238/9 at your convenience.

    Regards,

    Ruchirat

I will probally watch it in the Utd bar now with a few fellow mancuians in tow. hopefully see you there lads.

  11. Indeed, I was cheering against Man U, and thus that meant I had to be cheering for Chelsea.

i WAS IN THE LONDONER LAST YEAR AND IT WAS A GOOD CRACK. I EMAILED THEM (sorry bout capitals) and they said they are not sure if they will be showing it this year. I will keep u posted. The utd bar are defo showing it.

Jim, how could you stay up and watch Utd at 2 in the morning in the biggest club match in world football, when you are a liverpool fan??

Is it just me or can anyone else not figure out why they don't have the CL final on a Saturday?

Usually, one would think that having a larger potential TV audience would be something FIFA - UEFA - Platipuss etc would be looking for no?

(this is the downside of being a ManUtd fan I guess - too many late mid week evenings in May)

James, from next season the final will be on Saturdays.

    come on Utd

  12. My thinking on the business of the players that a manager picks for a game is that it is entirely his perogative, and i find it strange when people "outside" of the club start chirping up and complaining. The only people who have any sort of right to complain about squad selection in my opinion are the fans of that club. And as i see it, there aren't too many ManU fans who are complaining. I'm certainly not. Despite the result, i think it was still the right decision.

For one thing, i'm not entirely convinced that even had we played a full-strength squad we would have been guaranteed a win. If you've seen the way that ManU have been playing over the last three weeks you'd understand why. It's only been thanks to a young teenager coming on as a sub that we've been winning.

And for another thing, had we played the full strength squad and got a win, but then due to injuries and fatigue suffered a bad result in either Premiership or Champions League, i don't think with all due respect to the FA Cup that it would have been worth it. Besides, a semi-final win means nothing if you then go and lose in the final. Had it been the final i think that would have been a completely different matter.

So, absolutely nothing to stop people "outside" of the club commenting on squad selection and ridiculing it or whatever they want to say, but as for either complaining or making demands about who should play and who shouldn't on the basis of respecting a Cup or whatever grounds they think up, i think they have absolutely no say and should instead concentrate their thoughts on the team selection of their own team.

    i agree Rix,

The FA,premier league, uefa ask for a squad list each season. Do the rules state that you can only play your best players in every game,no, so it's up to each manager to choose which ever team he deems fit for each game. We reached the semi final using the squad players and nothing was said earlier but now cos we were beaten and its a semi final, we are desrepectful, come on?????

So, what about some other premier teams who put weakened teams out this season? It's because the mangers of these clubs thought that staying in the prem league was way more important than staying in the cup. I also seem to recall that most of the bigger teams have put weaker teams out over the last few years. I suppose all these teams did it cos it was in their best interests, but Utd did it to desrespect the cup. :o

  13. I see the ABU,s are out in force again

here are fergie's thoughts on it.

United's youngsters may have failed by a whisker to win the FA Cup semi-final but they still passed a severe test of their temperament with credit.

That was the positive message from Sir Alex Ferguson in the wake of a penalties defeat to Everton at Wembley, where he fielded four teenagers in Fabio and Rafael da Silva, Federico Macheda and Danny Welbeck. The average age of the starting XI was only 22.

"We had two teams in mind after Wednesday’s win in Portugal, with one leaving out two or three players but having watched the game yesterday (Chelsea's semi-final versus Arsenal), I thought the pitch looked heavy and dead," Sir Alex told MUTV.

"What I couldn’t afford was extra-time with my strongest team, with our programme coming up. We’ve got games on Wednesday, Saturday, Wednesday, Saturday lunch-time (at Middlesbrough) and then Tuesday. I had to make a change some time.

"Knowing the young players' temperament, their quality and their energy, I thought it was the right thing to do. Obviously I’m going to have some critics but I think the fans know this club is built on young players getting an opportunity.

"We wanted to give them an opportunity today. I know that in whatever games we’ve got in the run-in, we can play the likes of Macheda, Welbeck and Rafael without any question at all."

  14. oh i know you did mate, no problem. i was just having a bit of a rant because the media attitude to rafa benitez at the moment is pissing me off something chronic. sky and the press parrot enough crap often enough and it becomes accepted truism, next thing it's being parroted in taxis and in pubs and then suddenly it's gospel. it's absolute <deleted> it is.

cracking up, cracking up, stevie's cracking up :o

  15. have today appealed for witnesses to come forward regarding a rape incident that occurred on saturday afternoon at Old Trafford. The victim a Mr Vidic was left needing 4 stitches to an ego wound, left by a suspected merseyside man about 6" 2 with distintive blond hair. In a related incident a scottish pensioner was in a state of shock after witnessing the attack. He has been left without the use of his voice and cannot control his bowel at the thought of getting knocked off his <deleted> perch by eleven men from the liverpool area. This is by no means a joke. These are the FACTS.

    :D

nothing new here then Kopite, scousers at it again :o

  16. Hi,

I have been watching my computer feed on my TV using Computer VGA to VGA on a 1 year old flat screen TV. The TV is no longer showing the picture and the TV reads no signal, though the audio is still fine. I have tried a different computer/new VGA leads but its the same. I guess it is my TV that is the problem.

Does anybody have any idea what the problem may be?

    Thanks in advance

    JJP

  17. Bit off topic

Has anyone tried to use a VGA - audio/video lead from the computer to an oldish TV? (I use the VGA computer to TV lead to my flat screen and it works fine) I have an oldish TV upstairs with only audio/video inputs/outputs and i am wondering if this method would work before i buy the lead. The guy at the shop suggested i buy some kind of box for a few grand as a buffer between the com and TV but it be pointless if the VGA/ Audio/video lead would work regardless.

    Thanks in advance

ps i use the Oz brand DVD player and it works fine using the USB drive.

  18. Msingh,

You are clever Msigha and thats why i posted until the Utd match came on cos there was no other match to flick over too. It was tongue in cheek. :o

IQ, thats good coming from a West Ham fan, bubbles and all.

  19. I was flicking through the sports channels last night and i was able to watch truesport extra 1 and 2. I am on the gold package and normally these 2 channels are scrambled. Was anyone else able to access these channels?? Is this a promo by truevisions???

I drove the wife mad with the remote cos i kept on flicking through the channels and i couldn't make up my mind which match to watch until of course Utd came on at 12.20.

  20. its on @ 12.30 am on sunday morning on truesport ????? check their website tomorrow onwards for the channel. It was advertised at half time when i was watching the Utd West Brom match in the wee hours. Well worth getting up for :o

  21. I phoned Korat Immigration and went through it with them.

They want a letter from your bank showing 400k for at least 60 days or evidence of 40k a month. Obviously they want your passport. They also want the birth certificate and the mother to go with you and the baby. I guess having the baby's passports would not be a bad thing either.

Korat seemed very up to speed on the phone and were aware of the removal of the 50 year old age stipulation.

    hi,

Is the 1 year visa still in place for people who have a Thai child, are over 50 years of age and don't have to show any money requirements or have they scrapped it?

    thanks,

    jjp
