I stopped automatically updating Microsoft years ago because every now and again they send an update which cause probems with our computers. Too many Microsoft Moments. I update only after their updates have been proven to not cause problems, so at the present time I do not update Windows 10.

Baht needs to stay high whilst the trains and major imported equipment for the BTS and BEM Mass Transit Projects, as well as submarines and other military equipment are delivered. Dollar/Baht is still B30.23 (not B29.96) if you funds are coming via T/T from overseas. Superrich wil give you B30.35 for $50 cash

I've lost count of how many times they have had a clamp down on pirated goods. Shops and vendors, who look after the police, are warned in advance so we find the shops closed for a few days. Vendors donate faulty goods to the police so that they can run a road roller over them in front of TV cameras for the benefit of the various country ambassadors, such as the U.S., who think that the Thais are clamping down on pirated goods.

I bought a laptop at B100,000 and got the VAT back at the airport. I have lived here 25 years but for a time I was working overseas on a 10/3 rotation so was on a 30 day stay on arrival. I still have the computer here. I don't claim VAT back on a 1 year Non-O, that would seem criminal.

The ballot paper didn't mention anything about trade deals etc.
What if another referendum happened and leave won again, well then what?
You can't blame the voting public because of the mess that politicians and bureaucrats from Europe have created with an unwillingness to negotiate reasonably.
63% did not vote to leave.

I'll tell you the real reason for the upset - Ultraman is Japanese - not Thai. Bit like putting Nicola Sturgeons head on Queen Vic !
On a side note I wonder if I'm the only one on TV that collects Ultra Monsters (ex wives not included)
You are wrong. My friend Sompote Saenduenchai who founded Chaiyo Productions (also called Tsuburaya Chaiyo Co Ltd) based in Thailand was jointly responsible for creating Ultraman. I have known him since 1994 in the early days of Ultraman. The rights to everything Ultraman outside Japanese territories was supposedly given by his partner Eiji Tsuburaya, to Chaiyo Thailand. However there have been ongoing court battles between Tsuburaya and Chaiyo over individual Ultraman characters over the years with damages awarded to both sides. Ultraman has always been predominately Thai, with Thai artist and animators.

Always had to produce my passport at Bangkok Bank for many years. They will not accept my driver's license despite it having my passport number and address on it. Had the account there for 25 years and the Bank Manager knows me well but rules are rules as there have been too many scams.

Hope it isn't being run by Fox News or Alex Jones.

Fake news. Anutin was not duped, his aim is to bring the Thai Law on hemp almost in line with the U.S. where they even allow less than 0.3% THC. Already there are companies who are growing medical canabis and are ready to manufacture food containing hemp extracts. All will be subject to strict control and licenced.

Return on investment from a drainage tunnel? How does a drainage tunnel generate real cost reduction or added revenue to the city or gov't?
They take in consideration how much the have expended in the past in dealing with floods in the catchment area and the cost to industry and companies due to delays to personel and vehicles impeded by the floods.

Even Corbyn backed proroguing parliament even earlier than that too. I could go on ... but won't out of not disrespecting posters' intelligence.
Typical leave-moaner propaganda. Boris is Trump's poodle and is being paid by Lord Bamford to subvert democracy where 63% did not vote for BREXIT and prorogue parliament for the longest time on history (34days). John Major only did that for 19 days and since 2010, the average time has only been around 6 days. Shutting down Parliament for 5 weeks at a time is an afront to democracy and is purely to satisfy the Russians, Trump and the rest who have financed the campaign to destroy the EU.

Wow..... run for the hills, descent into oblivion for the world’s fifth largest economy - project nonsense.
Not nonsense, descending into oblivion, the UK already slipped to be the 6th largest economy, and we haven't even left the EU yet. The GB Pound dropped by 0.7% from 1.22937 to 1.22087 against the US$ not 0.08%. The GB Pound has dropped 23% against the US$ since the BREXIT referendum, which 63% of the British people did not vote for. So don't say it was the will of the people. Brexiteers told me at the time not to worry because Farage told them that the pound would recover within 3 weeks!!!!!!!!! Just got my British pension in Thai Baht which is down 32% since the referendum.

Not wrong: Your bags will go straight through to CNX. In Bangkok you will stay airside, leave the plane and follow the signs to 'transfers to Chaing Mai' then show your boarding pass and passport at the CIQ chanel and you will then go through security and immigration and enter the domestic side of the terminal. Quick and easy.
At CNX when you get off the plane you will go to international baggage reclaim but will not have any immigration to go through.

Australia, Japan and a number of other countries, do not allow passengers to import fruit due to pest control. I also doubt whether airlines will allow Durian. I used to import Durian into the UK 26 years ago by Qantas until passengers complained about the aroma seeping up from the hold. That is when Qantas and other airlines place a ban on Durian on passenger flights,

Not sure about Phuket, but at CW Bangkok they also want a hand drawn map of how to get to your house (they rejected a google map) and a photo of you standing in front of your house or accommodation.

The outcome of the meeting was that the UK, not the EU, had 30days to come up with a technical solution to solve the Irish Border problem. They already had 3 years to come up with a solution which is unlikely to happen in 30days. Boris is likely to request yet more time, if he even survives a no confidence vote.

What a tall story, good laugh though. People don't get stopped on an air bridge by Police for any reason, never mind no reason. Try again.
I believe it is a tall story. However, I have seen the immigration police nab passengers on a wanted list after notification from the country of embarkation quite often in the 100s of arrivals I have made. You may recall the fairly recent arrest of middle eastern girls trying to escape their families, who were also intercepted at the air bridge and held in custody. I have also been intercepted at the bridge and given an immigration police escort, not just in a Thai Airport. They often give V.I.P.s a special escort, not just wanted criminals.

It sounds to me the mainland Danes are terrified the Greenlanders would actually vote for Trump's plans. As a naturally rich island ruled by a strict socialist society they would almost certainly be better of under Donald's capitalism and start getting rewarded for their natural resources.
Hope he does buy it after all this song and dance from the Danes.
It is absurd, He cannot buy Greenland, it is written in the Danish Constitution The Danes have free health care and free education. As such the people are so well educated that the know they would not be better off under Donald's "line the pockets" of the top 1% capitalism. Donald has been Bankrupt 6 times and is on the way to do the same to the US whilst helping to destroy the world environment.

It was already B5,000 and the BMA put signs up 2 years ago. There was supposed to be a reward of B2,000 if you reported the motorcyclist and sent a photo with reg. The police take no notice and the pavement is breaking up due to the heavy bikes. It's very dangerous to walk on the pavement opposite Paradise Mall, because of the motorcyclists riding on it at great speed. I don't know why they are reducing the fine from B5,000.
