You are right. Of course the clowns running the circus don't want this as their numbers will go up exponentially. Not part of their tourism reopening plan.

When the insurers start saying this you know the country is a dire state. I wonder how the government will fudge this news.

I was going to reply but it is Friday and responding to the obvious seems pointless. Work it out.

I would say it means we have completely screwed up the whole vaccine procurement so we will continue to talk nonsense in the hope people will be fooled into thinking we are not so incompetent. ????????

So basically the same numbers due to the same amount of testing. Predictable again but sad for the country and people.

Still no look on the horizon of numbers being reduced.
Imagine if they tested more effectively. Well we all know that outcome.

Last month, the BOT cut its 2021 GDP growth forecast to 1.8% from 3.0% and the 2022 outlook to 3.9% from 4.7%, due to anticipated lower numbers of foreign tourists.
is this final admittance that those 6 million Brits are not coming to Thailand this year.

The restrictions would have a bigger-than-expected impact on the economy, Chayawadee Chai-Anant, a senior director at the Bank of Thailand (BOT), said at an analyst meeting.
"This policy may be more severe than expected and will likely affect economic activity more than forecast," she said.
Why is this a surprise! Is it that the leaders just talk BS and have their heads in the clouds. Maybe Thai politicians should be held accountable for their consistent lies that they spread.

No all is going really well fella isn't it. ????
Have you ever considered that they have run out of testing kits or they just don't test enough or they don't tell the truth.

In addition there is an up to 40,000 baht payment for hospital fees and up to 50,000 in rehabilitation fees.
Loss of earnings rates are determined by provincial authorities.
If a prison who subsequently was exonerated had died in prison their families would get 100,000 baht with 20,000 baht towards funeral expenses and 80,000 baht in other expenses.
How little a life or the stress of prison is here. From a society that values money so highly, yet preaches a Buddhist rhetoric.

Not from my perspective and lived and worked in Thailand for over 16 years. They rank near the top for me as incompetent.
I have lived and worked in 5 other countries and Thailand ranks the highest.
I guess your an apologist.

the demand for beds for COVID-19 patients has risen five-fold.
Now that is the most worrying aspect of this article.
So will we get the same rise in numbers presented every day which would match the demand.
I doubt it and will be fed the same narrative. This statistic gives a clear indication the numbers are being fudged and someone should be held accountable.

It is a shame that more backbone isn't forth coming and kick the incompetence out once and for all.
As a foreigner I have no say in the matter, so I am saying very little.

Hang on a minute, in the words of John McEnroe “you cannot be serious ?”
Posting from the country which unleashed this godawful pandemic on the rest of the world, at least partly due to their ineptitude and cover up of the initial stages, gloating that China itself doesn’t have a pandemic and even praising the CCP as a “competent government”.
I am speechless….
Just in case you haven't read any of my posts over the last 20 years I am not Chinese.
Because I work in China am I responsible for it. No.Read my post again. Gloating not at all. I suggest you stop putting words down that are not true. Regarding the pandemic as i was comparing the government in China with Thailand. Even the mentally challenged know the winner there.
I guess you get speechless often then.

The government are doing a great job handling the pandemic. Oh no that's fake news.
