So worse and worse by the day. It will not be long before 20,000 cases that are reported officially the way this trend is going. The government must be really proud of themselves. (sarcasm intended).

I thought the PM was the Czar and takes full responsibility. I guess we will have to wait (sarcasm intended) for his apology.

In order to continue to make vast sums of money they will care about social and cultural destruction they may even decide to rid themselves of Prayuth's incompetence because he is hindering their ability to make vast sums of money. It maybe market forces that drives their will to seek a better administration, otherwise they will continue their neanderthal like regression whilst Vietnam continues their rise as a leader in the region.
I guess we see things differently and you have a different belief and confidence of the CEO's. I don't think that the CEO's have the strength and importance that you seem to be giving them. For me they are lapdogs and do as the PM and you know who says.

Thailand’s Commerce Ministry expects that Thailand will complete discussions on a free trade agreement (FTA) with Pakistan this year.
The important word here is complete. So that could mean anything from immediately (hardly unlikely) to five years. I know Thailand needs some good news but I wouldn't start swinging from the lampshades just yet with this news statement.

Economic, social and cultural destruction.
Whilst I agree with you I don't think these CEO's and the General give a rats as* about the social and cultural destruction. Just about money and their money at that.

I can save them a wasted meeting and journey.
He just has to admit that he out of his depth, has consistently mismanaged the situation and that Thailand, thanks to him and his cronies are on an economic path to destruction.

Boris is far better than Prayut. There you go I am elsewhere already.

He became a policeman before getting into the government.????
Thanks for that. I also omitted that he became a monk which really highlights the farcical system here in Thailand and the elite, who just do what they want, when they want, and the people just accept it.

In theory you maybe correct but this is Thailand where a person who once killed a police sergeant who was killed in front of 30 plus witnesses, went on the run overseas and eventually was acquitted and then became a member of the government. I could mention many more incidents but I am sure you get my drift.

The police and legal system never cease to amaze me and not in a positive way.
No doubt the fugitive is waiting for the 10 year mark so the crime can be melted away in the system.
They can tell the time on a watch from space but they can't find and extradite this monster. Beggars belief.

Bashers will bash, like the retired Yankee businessman lolling in the Florida sunshine, complaining about the state of the nation!
You asked was you missing something. It was my good deed for the day guiding you to the answer.
"However, all deaths in Thailand are recorded, so testing makes no difference here." I disagree totally with this statement of yours.

It begins with T and ends in esting! Also the numbers of people who are vaccinated and not just one jab.

If you have been in Thailand long enough, what is said one day, is often retracted, so what he said today may not be the same tomorrow or next week.

In any 'normal' country someones head would roll for this from the government. Here the person who leaked it will be hounded and it will probably be described as fake news.

The honourable thing is for the PM and government to resign and let someone else take charge who has the skills and aptitude, to get Thailand out this monumental mess that they have created.
That would mean noses out the troughs, so little chance then.

It is a very desperate situation with no signs of getting better. I hope people can stay safe and the farce that is supposedly helping the country do something to contain the spread. Although i am not holding my breath on that.

The difference between the UK's 50,000 cases a day and Thailand's 10,000 a day is testing, testing, testing. Everyone in the UK has these LFT (antigen) tests at home now.
A friend there told me his teenage son complained in the morning he had a terrible headache that had kept him awake most of the night. Out with the LFT and guess what? Positive.
I agree with you.

Show me where I said that. Obviously you can't. You are using assumptions. Anyway that is the last reply as obviously it has hit a nerve.

Obviously, you know nothing about me and you're disparaging something specific that hasn't yet been proven to be inaccurate! Maybe you're another one with a crystal ball and chronic Thai-bashing tendencies.

Great laughing medicine. Once again those who make up these delusional suggestions have no idea of the real world. Millionaires would not want to spend their lives in Thailand.
Now the weekend millionaires this is more appealing too and contribute to the economy with family etc.
Again these people have no idea of the real world and only believe that the universe centres around Thailand.

Obviously you haven't lived in Thailand long enough coming out with that statement. You are putting first world logic into a country that does not reciprocate.

I wonder when the first Thai apologist would come along.
Maybe it is time as you said a few days ago to hand in your British citizenship. Here is the address below. After all you have a Thai one which technically is illegal.
