65 baht to the pound... unlikely.
If memory serves me it was 70 Baht to the pound but I get your point. 75 in 2005.

They have their work cut out with this one. How will they get back to 20 years ago? How will this be measured? All words again I imagine.

Until restrictions go, it is another destined failure.

So they plan to talk. Big deal. China will not listen. Another hyped up wasted article stating the obvious.

In line with the World Economic Forum's plans to make a one world (digital) currency, that monitors every transaction you make..
https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2021/12/cbdc-stablecoin-digital-currency-regulation/
And thus controls the fine details of your life.
Just look at China the template for everything. Almost impossible to use 'fiat money' or get it as ATM's have been taken away and the 'sheeple' here just go along with it. WeChat and Alipay for everything. A similar system coming to a country near you soon.
Even though it has been 4 years since I was last in the UK I was so surprised how many people will by a newspaper or other small item with a credit/debit card.
I guess I am old fashioned or a traditionalist, where I like to have a wallet with some money in it.????

Currently you have no hope of this happening. Sitting here in China reading the nonsensical statements on COVID 19 and how they come in to the country on imported parcels, imported fish and imported car parts.????????.
You would actually think the government don't want their citizens to leave China, keeping the money at home and producing ridiculous quarantine rules of 28 days, to deter people leaving.

Have you ever used them? I have and they are about as use as a chocolate fireguard. Similar to the RTP.

Yes that's the great thing about debating. So what is your reasoning for disagreeing with me at all?

I am going to disagree with you there. My birth country of the UK you can complain and post what you want, as most with European countries. You can even call Elizabeth Regina a horses mouth without any repercussions. Its what modern countries with adult laws do. Take the criticism. Most countries have a credible Omnibusman or trading standards that will help you out.
Whilst in Thailand you have children who 'who throw their rattle out of the pram" if you tell the truth and throw a deformation lawsuit on you. The place for all its glory, needs a serious change with certain laws getting thrown back to the dark ages where they belong.

In UK I got so used to using my touch and go card I stopped carrying cash except to give to the beggars
Here in China everything (almost) is done electronically. I always carry cash as I still like the feel of it i my wallet. I often get refused when i try to buy things. Its either Alipay or WeChat.
I even saw beggars in Xieman and Sanya at Christmas with WeChat codesm so people could scan and give money. Some call it progress. I have a different opinion.

Thailand is always talking about innovators and getting 'new business people' into the country. Be like Malaysia and Singapore and don't tax crypto capital gains.
Its not rocket science.

I have always thought Thailand can do much better with their abundant resources and should be a more affluent country. The major obstacles is the greed of those in power and corruption, so if they get rid of that then they maybe have a chance. But in 14 years that is way optimistic. probably take a few generations provided they stay on the trajectory of ridding the 'fat cats' and corruption out of society. If not it will continue as it always has.

Yesterday the Chonburi new case numbers was 1,342. Today they really expect us to believe it has gone down to 847.
I stopped believing the numbers months ago when the testing was reduced. I know anyone with any intellect just sees these numbers as 'pie in the sky'.
When you have the Muppets running the show with Kermit and Mr Piggy. What do you expect!

Another delusional response from the TAT and again do not know Thailand's capabilities with its current infrastructure.
As much as we all love Thailand, it isn't and I doubt ever will be, a high end place for tourists. The guy needs to do his research and get real.
He has the Thailand is the centre of the universe mentality.

The saddest thing about this is that those responsible will not be held accountable for their continuous blatant lies.
When you continually tell the people false hopes and misinformation then headlines like these are just normal. Some people say its Thai bashing. it is not. It is wanting better than the trash they have, who really don't care about the masses and their own little trouts in the trough.

“Yes, I do work hard for my cats and dog. I have four cats and one dog and they stay with my mom upcountry. I work and send money to mom to care for them. The pet food alone costs a lot because they are fussy eaters and then there are medications and all that. Grooming is expensive too,” says Pat, a 30-something freelancer in Bangkok.
This person like many Thais have no idea about taking care of pets, especially dogs. the pets do not know where the money comes from to buy them food. they need love, caring and to be part of a pack. This above just shows the mentality. Does this person think that when she goes home the dog thinks hey, here is the person who works hard for me. Mentally inefficient.

If they were invited you wouldn't here the last of it, with more headlines and pictures for weeks. Now they have been rejected, it isn't important. Like children throwing a rattle out of the pram.

You mean another TVF lie.
If any sector that contributes to the GDP changes then the economy changes.
The tourism sector is split 12% international and 8% domestic for GDP.
We can rely on you Sandy to spin the truth. No it was mentioned by numerous government officials. perhaps take a look back and you will seek the facts.

What happened to Tourism doesn't really account for the fall or rise n the economy. I guess that was another lie.
