  1. I see its took you a while to respond. Did you forget! I will massage your ego... this time. I was also in the UK for 3 weeks a few weeks ago. The same old nonsense of some people saying that everything was down to Brexit. The weather, no fruit but then again Spain was also the same as other parts of Europe, etc etc etc. The same whingers going on about the referendum they lost. But this is about Thailand and the constant changing of their minds. Please stick to that as you seem to bring in the EU at every opportunity which is boring and shows you are very bitter... Still. Enjoy the UK, if that is possible. After 25 years it is never home just where my passport comes from.
  2. Why we are on it, then lets have the word democracy, equality, non corrupt, fair play. These should also be removed as they never happen. I could go on with more words......
  3. ????You can talk about constitution all you want. Taiwan see themselves as an independent country. Even other countries recognise them as independent. Sadly many haven't the backbone to stand up to the Chinese and see Taiwan as a separate country. The Taiwanese do. I don't see Xi Ping's offices in Taipei or anywhere else in Taiwan, so your constitution is worthless. Are you going to come clean! Are you Chinese?
  4. From the title, I thought the bankers had been finally brought to account.????
  5. I actually live in China and have any many, many Taiwanese friends, so once again you are totally wrong. Not one of them considers themselves to be Chinese.
  6. If you cant see that Sandy, well your cognitive development has surely changed. You have always been an apologist. Many of us know that. But if you can't see the 'flip flopping'. I would suggest that you either stop being argumentative or start doing the crossword and quizzes. I genuinely mean that in good faith.
  7. You must be Chinese with that thought. Ask those from Taiwan if they feel they are a province from China, and see the response.
  8. If I was a gambling man I would go for a flip flop.????
  9. I agree with the first part of people expecting a fair vote but the second part of not knowing there is no democracy. If they don't already know, they never will. I have heard the absurd term Thai democracy being thrown around. There is no such term. Democracy doesn't mean having all those senators in place before a vote is even allowed. Its complete nonsense. One thing for sure these next few weeks are going to be interesting.
  10. Oh dear Less than a day and they change their mind. Who would have thought!
  11. Jordon. well know for being the bike for Manchester united stars and everyone else in the late 1990s onwards. She is what many things are wrong with the UK. I could go on but would rather waste my time on something more positive.
  12. The first apologist. We differ in opinion. Yes they are spoiled. Are western children spoilt too. Yes but this article is about Thai Youths. Yes it is for the reasons I mentioned. I agree with you on this one.
  13. One other thing I forgot to mention. Poor or non existent role models.
  14. Spoiled as children and expect everyone and the world to give them it all on a plate. To much time on electronic devices that dumb's down creativity, higher order thinking skills and the ability to think for themselves. Also a lack of planning skills (but this could be said of adult Thais). Not been given enough opportunities to make mistakes and more importantly learn from them. Don't exercise enough. This should be a daily habit. Eat rubbish, fat and sugar filled food. The X factor culture as I call it. They all want to be singers, movie stars and models. So if it doesn't happen they don't have a plan B. Lack verbal and now written communication skills. Can barely sit still or think for a few minutes without needing artificial stimulation from a phone or game. I know this does not apply to everyone and there are always some good kids who have some 'gumption and drive ' about them. What I find that these traits/things above also apply to different social classes and not just the rich or less affluent. All or a combination of these things leads to depression IMHO.
  15. Yes, sadly that's the way. In the day, I use to teach MBA students and I failed everyone in a test. I was brought into the Assistant Deans office to explain why. I told them that not one had reached the pass mark. The Assistant Dean said "it is no wonder as there were no multiple choice questions in the exam" I kid you not. I ended up being moved to a more lucrative contract the following week, in typical Thai saving face fashion. All the students apparently passed with their new Ajarn (was not a teacher) for their end of semester test, that I had failed them in. We also need to remember that those with PhD's are usually not teachers and are very poor at teaching as they, as the name suggest lecture. It is two very different skills. I do have two Thai male friends who are both holders of a PhD. Both did them overseas........
  16. In the 'Land of Copy" is anyone really surprised! I know it happens in other places and many get their 'Grads' to write most of the paper and put their name to the said paper. In a country that does very little for cheating, except when people get caught, I imagine like anything else, it will not change.
  17. If you put a thread up about these other countries, i might comment. Have a wonderful day!
  18. An apologist I see. This is a forum for Thailand just in case you have forgotten.
  19. Grow a backbone and say enough is enough for starters. But the majority won't and will stick with their status quo, all brought upon by themselves.
  20. Just for those who don't understand the idiom. The expression the pot calling the kettle black is an idiomatic phrase that people sometimes use to point out hypocrisy. It means that someone is criticizing another person for a fault they have even though the criticizer is also guilty of doing the same thing.
  21. Really! How ironic. I am speechless. Calling the kettle black.
  22. Oh dear! Why is it Thailand seems to jump on the bandwagon of anyone remotely famous as their own. They did the same with Tiger Woods which backfired and was made to look stupid and told the press he wasn't Thai in any form. Then there was the same thing with Vanessa May, the Violinist. Thailand has their own home grown talent and they don't need to adopt every famous artist, who has minimal links or zero links to the country. It is tacky and shows signs of desperation.
  23. Priceless! The best joke of the year so far and there have been so many with the 'Keystone Cops' and all the other TAT nonsense.
