UK Chaos at Bell Hotel: Migrant Crisis Sparks Violent Protests in Epping
CatCage replied to webfact's topic in World News
Oh dear what a shame to happen like this in this little market town, I know Epping very as I used to work there when I lived in UK, This entire business of welcoming and housing immigrants is getting out of hand, if the government don't put the lid on it there is going to be even more sever problems leading to riots and and civil unrest. British people are sick of the money being spent housing them and looking after them, whilst British people get pension cuts tax increases and relegated to the bottom of housing and health care lists. -

Updates and events in the War in Ukraine 2025
CatCage replied to cdnvic's topic in The War in Ukraine
Ukraine's drone pilots are overhauling which Russian targets they think matter most, and tanks have fallen far from the top Ukraine's drone units updated their points system earlier this month to prioritize personnel hits. A tank kill could earn 40 points in the past, but it now earns only eight per vehicle. Russian drone pilots are now the highest priority target for the bonus program. Russian tanks and rocket launchers used to be the most highly valued target for Ukrainian drones — but no longer. Ukraine's drone forces recently revamped a points system that rewards pilots for battlefield kills, and it's putting the greatest emphasis on targeting Russian drone operators. The system, created in August, previously placed the highest value on destroying artillery systems and tanks. The virtually abandoned Florida airport being turned into 'Alligator Alcatraz' A convoy of trucks carrying tents, construction materials and portable toilets flows into a virtually abandoned airport in Florida's picturesque Everglades, a Unesco World Heritage Site. But they're not helping build the region's next big tourist attraction. Instead they're laying the foundations for a new migrant detention facility, dubbed "Alligator Alcatraz". The facility, in the middle of a Miami swamp, was proposed by state lawmakers to support US President Donald Trump's deportation agenda. More: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cwyrnrnxy7yo

Russia is aggravating Britain's migrant crisis to overwhelm border defences and sow division in the nation, security sources have claimed. Vladimir Putin's government is believed to be providing fake documents, transport and even military escorts to smuggling gangs ferrying migrants across the Channel. The threat overwhelming migration poses to national security is so fierce that this week Nato recognised it by allowing its members to count border protection to spending targets for the first time. The following is what might be happening in Iran this morning at a meeting of the supreme council chiefs following yesterday attack on the Nuclear sites: Supreme Council of National Strategic Wisdom and Occasional Panic Location: Somewhere very secure, definitely not bugged (…we think) Time: 3 hours after the most embarrassing 7 minutes in Iranian radar history. Attendees: General Gharghani – Hawk, Revolutionary Guard commander. Mustache sharp enough to slice cucumbers. Dr. Mehran "Let’s All Calm Down" Yazdi – Senior diplomatic advisor, owns 3 copies of Sun Tzu. Admiral Salami (no relation to lunch meat) – Navy chief who hasn’t seen his fleet leave port since 2011. Minister of Information Parviz – In charge of “strategic truth management.” Ayatollah-in-Training Reza – Young, eager, and possibly thinks Twitter is a weapon system. Chairman of the National Council – Moderating the mess. Chairman: Comrades, brothers, defenders of our great civilization — and yes, Dr. Yazdi — we are gathered in this emergency meeting to discuss the minor security hiccup that occurred when several stealth bombers flew through our impenetrable airspace like it was open bar night. General Gharghani, your take? General Gharghani (Hawk): My take? My take? They violated our airspace, bombed a high-security bases, and left without a scratch! I say we teach them a lesson — launch everything we’ve got! Ballistic, semi-ballistic, emotionally ballistic! Dr. Yazdi (Diplomat): With respect, General, they destroyed half a mountain, our most classified bunkers, and flew home in time for dinner. Perhaps now is the time for measured dialogue? Gharghani: Dialogue? They just humiliated us on international television! CNN had graphics! We’re a proud nation, not a punchline! Admiral Salami: Actually, I thought the CNN animation was... oddly accurate. I mean, the trajectory, the impact... very nice 3D modeling. Our Navy could use that kind of budget. Minister Parviz (Information): Brothers! Let’s remember — the official version is that it was a gas explosion caused by a rogue weather balloon. We already uploaded a TikTok explaining it. Ayatollah Reza: Yes, but the people aren’t buying it! Even my cousin in Qom said, “That’s weird, weather balloons usually don’t leave craters.” Chairman: So what are our options? Escalate and risk total war, or... look very wise and de-escalate? Gharghani: We must respond! Launch a cyber attack on their water systems! Or, even better — hack Netflix and put a filter over all American shows to make them look like 1970s Iranian soaps! Dr. Yazdi: Or… we call the Swiss ambassador, say we’ve had enough of "misunderstandings", and suggest backchannel talks before they decide to accidentally hit something even more embarrassing. Like, say, the Supreme Leader’s rooftop jacuzzi. Ayatollah Reza: He has a jacuzzi?? Admiral Salami: Stay focused. Personally, I suggest a bold strategy: deny everything, retaliate nowhere, and quietly upgrade all our radars from “Soviet Surplus” to “Actually Functioning.” Minister Parviz: Plus, I’ve already drafted a press release saying we let them in to study their stealth tech. Reverse psychology! Chairman: Let me summarize the positions: Option A: Teach America a fiery, glorious lesson and possibly start a war we’ll lose before halftime. Option B: Quietly negotiate while pretending we meant for all this to happen, then fire our air defense chief and blame Mossad. Gharghani (grumbling): Fine. But if they strike again, I’m releasing the mothball missiles. Even if they only go 12 kilometers. Dr. Yazdi: And I’ll book the Swiss guy for lunch. Chairman: Motion passed. We talk. We fix our radars. And someone please check if we actually have a working anti-air system or if it’s just a guy in a watchtower with binoculars. Scene ends with tea being served and several men pretending to laugh while discreetly texting their families to check if the Wi-Fi still works.

Labubu Mania – Has Thailand Finally Lost the Plot?
CatCage posted a topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Right, we need to talk. Thailand — are we okay? Are we really queuing overnight, fighting over, and weeping for… Labubu dolls? Yes, those bug-eyed, snaggle-toothed, gremlin-looking things that resemble what might happen if a Furby got possessed during a solar eclipse. These things are everywhere — malls, news feeds, scalpers’ trunks — and they’re spreading faster than a TikTok dance trend in a kindergarten. I’ve seen grown adults — fully functioning humans with jobs, families, and (presumably) common sense — bawling like they missed BTS tickets because they didn’t win a Labubu lucky draw. We’re camping out like it’s Blackpink’s final world tour, but it’s for a doll that looks like it was rejected from Monsters, Inc. And the resale prices? Don’t get me started. People are flipping these things for tens of thousands of baht, like they’re gold-plated or contain the spirit of a retired K-pop idol. “Investment,” they say. Mate, if your retirement plan hinges on a troll doll in a hoodie, maybe it’s time to revisit the ol’ savings account. Look, I get it — collecting stuff can be fun. We all need hobbies. But the cult-like worship of these tiny chaos muppets is getting spooky. What’s next? Labubu-themed spirit houses? Labubu tattoos with matching family sets? Am I alone in this? Is Labubu just harmless fun blown out of proportion, or are we one viral video away from a nationwide plush toy uprising? -

I think HAMAS are reluctant to release anymore hostages because the world will then be able see how badly they have been treated and what they have done to them. As of February 8, 2025, 76 hostages remain in captivity in the Gaza Strip. Based on intelligence assessments, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have concluded that at least 34 of these remaining hostages are deceased. en.wikipedia.org This indicates that approximately 42 hostages are believed to be alive and awaiting repatriation.

So its all right for Russia to target Ukrain power stations and power sytems and kill civiliians but Ukrain is unable to reply and strike inside Russia, what kind of one sided fight is that? The deployment of North Korean troops into Kursk has prompted this decision in response to Moscow’s escalation, what did Putin expect would happen when he imports foreign mercenaries to fight his illegal war?. Regetfully Biden decision can be described a day late and a dollar short, had this been done right from the git go the war would have been over long back when Russia sees itself getting hurt. Russia has to be beaten in this war, it will never respect a cease fire as it has shown previously, but if it wins in Ukraine, it will continue, but If it feels it has been defeated, it will want revenge, can't win with Putin either way with him. The first target for his newly invigorated military after the Soviet empire has been rebuilt will be Moldavia and the Caucasus

Ukrainian M1 Abrams Tanks Get Elaborate ‘Cope Cages Ukraine's U.S.-supplied M1A1 Abrams tanks are getting new production-standard anti-drone armor screens, also commonly known as "cope cages," on their turrets. Pictures of one of the modified Abrams show it has also received additional explosive reactive armor (ERA), modifications that have also been appearing elsewhere in the field. https://www.twz.com/land/ukrainian-m1-abrams-tanks-get-elaborate-cope-cages-soviet-explosive-reactive-armor

I doubt these girls will still be alive now and will probably have suffered horribly at the hands of these 'brave freedom fighters'. I hope these so called men are found and taken good care of. If they are IDF soldiers they should be protected by the Geneva convention if they are civillians they should have not have been touched let alone abused and abducted by these animals that call themselves freedom fighters. I lived in the middle east for five years I had Palastinien friends and customers, in any conversation they always managed to work in the phrase 'kill Israel'

Assault on Kiev: Russian helicopters swoop above Ukraine's capital
CatCage replied to Chris.B's topic in The War in Ukraine
His first reason was to rid Ukraine of Nazis claiming that Ukraine was infested by neo-Nazis who are persecuting Russian minority, he said he was going "demilitarise and denazify" the country but now he believes NATO is ganging up on him and he wants to secure his borders, his next objective will probably be to to take over Europe ..... -
