Having worked in the restaurant industry for 20+ years i know where some of the problems are.

Butchers are not always changing or cleaning their equipment properly enough, when they switch from different kinds of meat.

Same goes in some restaurant kitchens.

I have seen myself several times after we handed the equipment to the dishwashers, we had it returned with leftovers of meat in the different parts of the grinder, so we had to send it back for another cleaning.

I can imagine not everyone are going through their equipment like a detective, so small parts of meat are still in the equipment when grinding the next kind of animal.

There are parts of the equipment, where you actually can't visually confirm if it's totally clean or not.

I can imagine it's the same thing in some of these cases where they find DNA from other animals.

Nothing lethal, but it's certainly not good PR.

If you sell beef, the product should only contain beef and not parts of pork and so on.

OP is about the T&G policy, or non 16 day quarantine.   That's what I'm addressing.  When having 16 day quarantine for all, clusters were manageable.  Without the 16 day quarantine, arriving  infections, and flat out stupid behavior of all, and the clusters were no longer manageable.

 

Lack of quarantine, or the failed Sandbox & T&G schemes were for developing an already crushed tourism economy, for the benefit of the very few still invested in it.  Nothing like feeding the fire.  Went from 3000+ deaths back in July, call it August, when Sandbox opened to now 20,000+ death.  Smart move.

 

To your early comment, since covid is not endemic, or wasn't 2 yrs ago, yes, tourism is to blame.  Now it's shared by all who act irresponsible.

 

And yet, I've been called irresponsible & selfish, more than a few times by more than a few members, because I'm not vax'd and went out & about.  Around the whole country a few times, matter of fact.  And yet, listening and following 'most' of the practical advice, from smarter people than myself, I didn't get or spread the virus.

 

BUT ... I simply practiced self distancing, without or with a mask when called for.   Didn't attend crowded events, didn't Q up or visit crowded restaurants, ate off hours (my norm anyway).

 

Simply practiced that very uncommon common sense.

 

Want to save lives and stop the spread ... 16 day quarantine for all arrivals.  International Tourism - DNR, develope domestic tourism.

Isnt Swine Flu up there along with Foot and Mouth as a notifiable Animal disease, due to its mortality rate, and transmissibility.

If you look at this article from 2019, it seems like it would be almost impossible for Thailand to avoid the Swine fever.

Which is not the same thing as saying the Pfizer data were not studied enough before approving the vaccines.

Apparently the law says 20 business days, but i think we all can agree it's unusual circumstances if you have received more than 329,000 pages of data. 

55 years however sounds crazy and FDA should be able to do it within a more reasonable amount of time.

However look at the 9 exemptions, which makes it an extremely time consuming job to go through 329,000 pages of data,

when you have to cross check all the data on each page and see if it conflicts with the below exemptions.

The FOIA's nine exemptions authorize federal agencies to withhold information covering:

1. classified national defense and foreign relations information;
2. internal agency personnel rules and practices;
3. information that is prohibited from disclosure by another federal law;
4. trade secrets and privileged or confidential commercial or financial information;

It does say that the virus genetic material can still be found for quite a while after infection. Whether or not these virus particles are infectious is difficult to tell, maybe the laboratory test for that is not accurate enough (it might not detect below a certain threshold of virus particles, unlike the PCR test).

It's old news so no idea why the other poster implies there is a hidden story somewhere.

Authorities are aware that PCR tests can test positive after infection.

Which is why some countries don't demand a negative test before you can go back to work after infection,

since it would take quite a while for some people to test negative.
