  1. The revelation for me is that it goes beyond warranty and affects functionality. Some of the updates work, others are denied.
  2. I have issues on the other side, where Samsung won't update my Thai bought phone because it's not a model that was made for the country where I reside. Beyond A05s, there's a part number that's different for each market. I have no advice regarding the OPs current dilemma, just some info for anyone thinking about importing a phone. It may not work out as easy as it looks.
  3. Though I understand the moderator that squashed the concurrent thread, I wish they'd run concurrent threads with one down in the pub for all the Brit bashing, along with this one where discussion could be limited to law, consequences, mental health and impairment, etc.
  4. I don't think they're proposing anything as dire as removing 6 billion people. They just want those 6 billion people to transfer a bunch of their money to a few who are pushing "the science".
  5. Maybe. But it won't be happening in Fulton County.
  6. Trump-Off. Soon available in a lotion or a spray can. The solution to all the world's problems.
  7. Don't confuse him with facts. He's on another roll. A roll that starts with a T. Kind of like TDS does.
  8. More TDS. Where does the OP even mention Trump? Rent free space. A real estate mogul's dream.
  9. Assange must have a very incriminating deadman switch to have survived as long as he has. It'll be interesting if and when it finally comes out. But I suspect it'll be like the JFK truth that will take 60-70 years to leak out.
  10. Yeah. Like freedom of speech and keeping your country from getting tricked into yet another forever war.
  11. I wonder how much money Carlson has/ will make on the interview and the follow-ons. And how many new subscribers to his X account and his own website. Dumb like a fox.
  12. Like many cities in Red states, KC itself votes Blue. Trusting the citizenry in a Blue area that doesn't lock up criminals is bound to cause problems. The alternative is to punish the whole population for the crimes of the few. The Dem way. In Red areas and Blue areas, the majority of the people are decent and a few are criminals. The difference is that, in a Red area, the criminals are the ones who live in fear. In Blue areas, everyone else lives in fear.
  13. If she wants to do some real penance, how about throwing one to an old geezer? We're a protected class, after all. I think... Edit: And since it was my idea, just tell me when and where.
  14. Ah. The TDS is strong in this group. Nothing in this story even suggests a Trump connection. But KC generally votes 60% Dem. And that probably explains why the shooters weren't already locked up. Soft on crime...
  15. Wandering around Chinatown today, I saw more Fatty Arbuckles.
  16. Guaranteed they're people who already aren't allowed to own or possess guns. As if tighter gun control will keep guns away from the bad guys with multiple felonies on their records.
  17. The problem is that the left knows the right is evil. They're wrong, of course. But there's little more dangerous because that justifies in their world whatever it takes to get their way. No matter how much damage they leave in their wake.
  18. That was an FAFO threat. Fool around n' find out. Doesn't look good on her. Her lawyers are basically saying "we can ruin your life if you don't comply and we won't even break a sweat." And 99% of us wouldn't have the resources to argue with them. Even the pre-trial paperwork would bankrupt us. Fortunately, he has some backing. So she's not intimidating Joe Lunchpail. I wonder how closely related her recent sale of her jet is to the publicity this guy gave to her carbon footprint.
  19. He won't invite her to Mar a Lago.
  20. I get a kick out of the posters that don't understand that the Thai objective in a fight is to win.
  21. £1,500? For that money, they could probably hop a flight and spend a week on Khao San Road and get a holiday, and a rub and a tug with their fake DL. Of course, I doubt anyone needing a fake £1,500 license has a passport that would make it through airport security and immigration. Edit: Do the Khao San Rd vendors do online sales? Something for an entrepreneurial type to think about...
  22. While I agree, the idea of backing down when out with a new squeeze is just not palatable in the West.
  23. Dollars to donuts the OP will see his old car tooling down the road in a month or so. Sorry I have no constructive advice. I always though the Nissan NV's were cute. Too cute and practical to scrap on account of an engine.
  24. SS isn't generally an entitlement. It's money we paid into the system and now we're getting some of it back. That's not the kind of program that conservatives are likely to cut. That's very different from paying people not to work, especially those who have no right to even be in the USA.
  25. Gotta say. They've changed the goalposts so often that I didn't even know how long I was supposed to isolate. Which was okay, because I never got Covid in the USA. And with 4% of the world's population and 16% of the world's Covid deaths, I don't know why anyone would listed to the CDC or the FDA anyway. Especially since the USA is the most expensive healthcare system in the world and mediocre results at best. But I envision a bunch of knobs in meetings for weeks on end, sweating to hash out each word.
