  1. Yinglucks' refusal to openly speak out against the red shirt individuals or groups who promote secession, is quite amazing.

Such a blatant rejection of the crown....and with serious penalties to guilty offenders...it is clearly totally irresponsible of her and an utter embarrassment for the country.

ChrisY1, geezzz man you really do like to push your agenda don't ya, Y/L has on several ocasions said publiclly that she supports a compleate Thailand and called on not to promot any seperation of the country, SO

Oh really? How many days did it take her to make a public statement? And it was the day AFTER the Army Chief called for an investigation into those RS that spouted the rhetoric. And then the next day she is calling for a RE-SHUFFLE of the Army? HAHAHAHAHA! You ( AussieInThailand) are way out of your league here!

  2. It is the EC function to hold an election within the time allowed by the constitution, every other EC was able to fulfill its job requirements, the EC failed to post Army or police to insure voting could take place uninterrupted and closed some polling place to insure a protest could be filed against the election.

It is the EC function to implement the laws that govern the election, not re-writing those laws, they should be responsible for the cost of the election for failing to properly preform their required duties!

    Cheers

Can you please stop with the lies and propaganda.

The EC hasn't rewritten ANY laws and they warned the Govt BEFORE the elections took place that they would not be able to be completed due to the protests. The Govt insisted they go ahead, therefore it is the Govt's responsibility for going against the advice of the people that RUN THE ELECTIONS.

I totally agree, there are WAY TOO MANY "ARM CHAIR" Lawyers in this forum!

  3. To the pro-government Redshirts, the verdict is nothing less than another proof that the Thai courts are applying "double-standard" to the political crisis; in 2010, the court affirmed the State of Emergency imposed by then-Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva against the Redshirts protests in Bangkok.

OK, so the RS's are saying that their burning down of about 1/2 the city, looting ATM machines, bombings etc etc etc. were non-violent and did not reach the extreme measures of a crack-down by the courts and military? They do live in their tiny little world, don't they?

  4. as a student, i found it very annoying having tourists (mostly americans) taking photos of everything while i was trying to go about my day

any uni in the world that is worth visiting should have strict rules on where / when visitors can enter, and should certainly charge for the privilege

if chiang mai university is really so picturesque, i'm shocked they allow tourists to roam around for free

and how do you know they were mostly Americans? Not many Americans come here to take pictures at a university and not many American come here at all due to the distance.

  5. The NACC spokesman disclosed that he was approached by former Pheu Thai MPs asking whether the commission could be lenient with her. He said he told the ex-MPs that the NACC would not be an independent organization if it did not do its job properly after having been intimidated.

Interesting how there are no comments about this!!!!!!!

Seems to me the PTP is trying to be a little heavy handed and possibly threatening the NACC? Just a thought. Now you can blast me all you want.

  6. If the PM was capable of doing fair jobs, there should not be protesters on the street.

Senators want Yingluck to take the leadership. She should be in charge and take care the business.

All I have seen is that she is in meetings and making some type of generic statements. Nothing has been done.

We have already witnessed some of her job performances. Has she done good jobs?

One of the important questions is that if she is able to handle the job correctly without creating any further problems.

Your guess is as good as mine.

of COURSE Yingluck has been doing a good jon, She spent Monday inspecting local produce in a province 150 kilometres (90 miles) east of Bangkok

  7. a good story except for not liking the minimum wage..all business bosses hate workers having a living wage...they moaned in the uk but it had no impact ...sorry that was off topic..its a concern if big business is not happy,

I agree, and to think they are against paying people $10 a day for working a minimum of 12 hour shifts, just disturbs me to no end. While they are making millions on their products and paying S&*T for the people doing all the work.

  8. So the REDS are now calling for bloodshed while the PRDC has been mostly non-violent. Yeah, that's the way to do it! Have not noticed any government official condemning this, so they must be just sitting back and smiling now they have their own mobs to protect them. Once again as in 2010, these people will get away with their scorched earth campaign once again.
