  1. It is interesting that the protesters are now handing evidence to the army, as they clearly trust the army with it and not the police. There will be those who will undoubtedly focus on the retaliatory beating, which should not have happened. But an unarmed man was shot. And the perpetrator was captured. And the evidence was handed to the army, who will clearly conduct an investigation.

I would definitely trust the Army before the police!

  2. The real joke is the inability of these self-proclaimed educated protesters to understand why the whole world is appalled and finds abhorrent their actions, not just this weekend, but in the weeks leading up to this. Suthep's letter to Obama underlined this mental chasm and must have caused guffaws in DC for the moment it was distributed before being binned.

Ummm, NOT THE WHOLE WORLD and not all the people.

  3. How about getting them out of Asoke too.

No one here during the day and only a small crowd at night. Last night the loadspeakers stayed on until almost 1 am.

How about the right to a peaceful night's rest for those of us that live in the protest areas?

    Thailand IS a failed state.

No rule of law and a government that not only has no control, but is out of control. All we ever get from them is hot air. All talk and no action.

How about realizing this is NOT our Country. We have no rights here, so like it or leave it.

  4. My apologies if my postings were a bit rude but I am so emotinally upset as a result of the inconveneinecs that I have to endure each day by these road blockages by these terrorists who behave like their fathers own the roads and bangkok. Plus its affceting so many other aspects of our daily lives for most Bangkokians.

TERRORISTS? It is not the protesters shooting rounds on ammo and throwing grenades!

  5. This is all very well to make the gov pay for messing up to hell with them but.

1 What about the poor farmers ?

2 What has the EC got to do with any of it ? blink.png

OK OK i admit it i havnt read the mandate of the EC and all its responsibilities, I suppose i should have guessed it would have to rubber stamp any loans of finance, i mean it wouldnt be the treasury or some other financial dept of course not, its the EC i should have known that from all the dept of silly walks they have here .... rolleyes.gif

Actually, from my understanding, the EC has quite a bit of power in a Care Taker Government such as this. They could even decide not to hold the election on Feb 2nd and choose another date as long as it is within the 180 days of the dissolution of Parliament.
