  1. As per the title, i would like to set up my Wise account to enable a Swift transfer as a backup if i don't get the needed FTT international transfer. Can anyone share the correct procedure ? i find the info stated by Wise somewhat confusing. Thanks in advance.
  2. Just to confirm that the two transfers i did yesterday at 10am have just arrived in my "tagged" Bangkok Bank account at 2.01pm today marked as International transfers.
  3. I did a 50GBP test transfer and then another for 1950GBP and both are expected to arrive with FTT coding. That easily meets my 65K monthly requirement.
  4. Yes indeed it should. I put off actually doing the transfer until i saw your post and by the time i did it it was circa 10am Thai time so will arrive tomorrow (2/11). As long as they arrive with the FTT code i'm happy, phew !!!!
  5. Thanks for your post, yes you are correct, i've just done the same with two transfers and got the same result later on in the process (due to arrive at 2.13pm tomorrow 2/11) My account is tagged so hopefully they will have the FTT account as they are not arriving "in seconds."
  6. Well i've just had a lookie at doing a transfer with Wise and despite having my account tagged to Bangkok Bank it states it will arrive in seconds, now that will not have the required FTT coding as it will not be routed to Bangkok Bank direct if my experiences are anything to go by, to obtain the FTT code your transfer will state an approx 2pm arrival time. <deleted> are Wise up to ?
  7. Here's one i bought from Lazada a couple of months ago, i actually bought two one for me and one for a mate. I have'nt used mine to date but my mate has and he reckons its good.
  8. Me same same, its good and cheap in comparison.
  9. Tagging is now the way to go, after having my BB account tagged transfers are now showing FTT whereas before they were not.
  10. So maybe things are not so bad after all if these credit advices are that easily obtained. I take it that IO's will accept these credit advices where the transfers are not showing FTT codes. Earlier today i have done a small transfer clicking on "funds for long term stay" AFTER having my BB account tagged a couple of days ago and it states the money will be in my account at 2pm, that would indicate to me it will be coded FTT as the transfer was not within seconds, we will see at 2pm.
  11. Have you an account at Kkn bank and did you just show them the Wise PDF to substantiate your request ? Also can you just visit any Kkn branch if you don't have an account with them ?
  12. and here was i thinking that marriage extensions did'nt need a foreign transfer only retirement extensions. I learn something everyday lol
  13. When i checked the other day Wise rate was 46.2 and Bangkok bank TT rate was 45.2, now on a 2000GBP transfer thats 2000bht, a pretty poor rate when compared to Wise imo.
  14. Thanks, i'm trying to get an idea of the costs from using both Swift options, using my HSBC account in the UK to Bangkok Bank and then using Wise. I'm assuming that both Swift options will guarantee an FTT coding.
  15. So to have Wise complete a Swift transfer to my Bangkok Bank account i need to open a Borderless account with Wise and use money from that account for my Swift transfer. If that is correct that would explain why when i clicked "Swift transfer" on a recent small "testing'' transfer but just transferred from my UK account it did'nt show up as FTT and the transfer was immediate.
  16. My reply...... Thanks for your reply but it does'nt address the problem of me selecting "funds for long term stay in Thailand" and it not working anymore. Previously if i selected this "reason for transfer" my transfer was always routed direct to Bangkok bank and not another of your partner banks initially.
  17. Here's their reply......... Thanks for getting in touch! I understand your concern, but as the payment is successfully paid out from our end, we couldn't make any changes right now. However, you can reach out to Bangkok Bank branch where the account is maintained and provide the following documents: Bangkok Bank Savings Passbook or Statement showing the specific transaction Passport of Recipient Agreement of the purchase of Condominium (for purchasing accommodation purposes) By following the above steps, Bangkok Bank will provide " Confirmation Letter of International Funds Transfer" or what we usually known as "FET" to the recipient which you will be able to use to show it as a proof to the local authorities. Please keep in mind that there is an administration fee of 100 THB to produce this official document which will be payable to Bangkok Bank directly. I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks,
  18. Would it be a "tagging" problem now ? i've never used the tagging option just the "funds for long term stay"
  19. Just sent....... When we used the funds for long term stay option as the reason for transfer, the transfer always went directly to Bangkok Bank and no other bank was used for the transfer. Now, that is not happening? Why and will you please fix it?
  20. Here's my email to Wise and their reply. It would appear they are taking no notice of their option "funds for long term stay in Thailand" resulting in an FTT with Bangkok Bank direct, what a crock of ????
