tried them and they turned out like egg custard my mates said they were great but i think they were just being polite
Will have to try again and get the oil smoking hot as recommended.
Cheers
Don't give up...............every now and again I make Yorkshire flapjacks. Very tempremental. Thhe other week I tried McDougalls Yorkshire pudding mix. I followed the instructions explicitly. I got egg custard as well. I sell it as pancake mix now.

is it hard to get rooms in smaller hotels during the month of november? around 14-15-oddish dates. will the price increase due to the elephant festival?
and i remember there is a lake for picnics and stuff, do people go there during weekdays?
thanks, i only went for a school's expedition before so i didn't remember details like those.
Book now, and remember the festival has changed to 21st 22nd & 23rd. Cheapest hotels for that weekend around 1,000 baht for aircon, 800 baht for fan. Book through my website http://www.farangconnection.com

Again, thanks
Collin
That's two kilometers inside Cambodia

I was merely trying to inject a little bit of northern humor and insight about the north of England and it's people, as true as it maybe.
And I was merely being pedantic, I've tried to stop completely and I can't, but I am down to two a day.
Congratulations, your doing better than me.
John.
You two have a lot in common..............you both stay in Soi Kola all night as well. Only difference is Thad makes it home on his own two feet. ( and he has a lot less further to fall)

If I had a name I could do something Colin, we get reqests like this a lot. Cheers.

Ok F*T G*T here................................I have good results ever since I mix in a Kenwood.
This does a lot (50 or 60) so amend accordingly
6 eggs
600 ml milk
250 gm Mc Dougalls self raising flour
Salt & pepper to taste
Tip the lot in a chefette and mix for 30 secs
Stand for 1/2 hour
Cover the bottom of Yorkshire pudding trays with about 1/4" of oil or fat
Put in oven (200 0c) and wait til the fat is really hot.
Fill level with mix
Cook for twenty mins or until risen enough.
Voila..........bootiful puddings.

As has been mentioned, The Farang Connection in Surin do a full Indian menu, with no complaints from any customers as yet. We also do the accompanying dishes of Nan bread, Poppadoms, Onion Barjees, Samosa's, served with Indian mint sauce and mango chutney.
I'v got a complaint!
Why no jinggly Indian musak when you bring up my curry? That new Beef Madras was good last week though.
Mmmmm... Think I need another Ruby
Dansak Dave
OK note taken. The next time you come in I'll do my rendition of " As the sunset over the Taj Mahal, I made love to my Bombay duck"

What about a weekend in Surin ....(there's a TV party coming soon)
The FC have a decent Indian meny, and especially the Surindaloo tastes delicious ..............
Even the owner likes it
And what about your favourite steamer.....................the Phall?

One of my favourite places in Surin - The FC - also by known by some as The Fossil Conservation,
So that's why you can't stay away from the place

"and grilled curries courtesy of The Farang Connection"
I'm a big curry fan - the hotter the better, but what is this?
Come on Nick........you get a curry, put it in a chair, then shout at it ten times " Where were you at 22.00hrs last night" Thought everyone knew that.

If the bars in Korat are anything like those here in Surin, they dont come alive till after 11pm
Dave
How true.......................A customer recently said to me " Surin is boring. There is nothing to do after ten oclock"
I replied " No, there is nothing to do before 11 oclock"
Actually the most up to date edition of Lonley Planet lists Surin as " A small town with a surpisingly wild nightlife"

We had our washing machines serviced in Surin. Two ok, one consigned to the rubbish tip. ( if anyone is wondering why we have so many, it's because the houses we rent out come with washing machines. Although one doesn't now) It is a friend of ours that does it. Or should I say he handles all our maintainance.

I have been using PB air most weekends they fly Monday Weds and Friday flight leaves Bkk 4.pm flights take anything from 45 mins to an Hour the return flight to Bkk leaves at 5.30pm cost of flight is 2700 baht .
I cant see it lasting most flights i have been on this last month have been near empty 18/22 people on most flights which is a shame as the train journey Bkk to Buriram is terrible taking a taxi is twice the price of the flight and not a nice journey i have never traveled the bus i wont do it .
Enjoy your flight with PB air if you will be a frequent flyer buy 12 single flights or 6 returns get one free .
JB
The flights are monday weds saturday NOT monday weds friday .

Always check...they have a habit of changing without much notice, and, as with most Thai web-sites the info is not always correct. The prices are 5,380 for a return ticket. As said for more info click the link on pinned or go to my website, farangconnection.com at the top of the page and a link is on the home page.

Years have been passed by and roads are getting worse and worse

I hope your 'friend' has learnt from his experiences. Maybe, just maybe he is looking in the wrong locations assuming he is after a partner and not just another sh@g.
I recommend school teachers (preferably ones that teach Engrish). Although I am happily married & not on the prowl, I have met some loverly ladies when visiting schools locally on business.
Please mention it to your friend, Martin
Auntie Dave
From wot I 'eard school teachers are all skint
