  1. When you’re walking the streets of Pattaya

And the Soi dogs snarl and bark at-a-ya

    Just bear in mind

That some twerp thought it’d’ be kind

To feed it, as if that don’t matter-ya?

I walk every day and never have a problem. Maybe it's your snarling attitude? I feed them when I can.

  2. Seems they'll be going elsewhere then. There's no way on earth Thailand would have even ONE driver retrained within two weeks let alone all of them ... in addition to roads resurfaced, maintenance conducted on every vehicle and a complete overhaul of road safety & regulations.

Mind, that probably won't stop the ministry and TAT claiming in their return correspondence in a few days' time that it has been done and it's therefore safe for the Russians to continue coming.

I think they will want Russian drivers for their Russina buses and Russian tour guides.

  3. For people who do not hold a work permit in Thailand:

If the money is from the sale of property you'll need the blue receipt from the Land Office showing that tax was paid on the sale, in that event the transfer out amount must not exceed the value of the blue receipt.

If the funds to be trabsfered out were not from a property sale but were simply transferred in, you'll need to show the Foreign Exchange Transaction document (it takes different forms at different banks) - basically this is just a form showing the value of the inbound transaction, date, rate etc.

There are no taxes associated with transfer out. Outbound limits are determined by the nature of the transfer in and the reason for it, generally, outbound cannot exceed inbound unless the holder has a work permit..

What? I've never had a work permit and I sent money out and in many times with no documents. Just limit money to the USA to less than $10,000 or the IRS is notified.

  4. Ice is evil.

    My ex got hooked.

    Result?

Marriage destroyed, two kids with no parents.

She is selling herself in Singapore.

She lost 10 million baht worth of houses that were owned outright. They were bringing in 70,000THB per month rental income.

A 1.3 million baht Toyota gone.

I can't visit my kids because I don't trust I will remain alive. I know, dramatic but after 7 years of separation I still get constant death threats "you come thailand you die" "you gib me money or you die" "I cant take care of the kids, please come and take the kids" 5 mins later "You come thai you die" "F*&^k you" "I already pay man for you die if you come thailand"

Ice turned her into a raving lunatic and she has sunk to become the lowest form of life.

It happened slowly at first, she would go out and come back late. Then she stopped coming home for days and when she did get home she looked like she had spent the last week in a brothel.

She became violent. I dodged knife attacks, hurled objects, vuccuum cleaner pipes and so on.

I had no choice but to leave (I needed work, and I got work in Indonesia). Leaving was more an escape. A fellow TV member answered my call for help one night and come to pick me up. Only I was being held against my will by the Father and the Uncle. The ex was hitting me with a chair.

I managed to shake myself free and dived into my mates car as he was driving off.

I know, people will call BS on this story. I dont mind.

Ice is the devil MrWW. The devil.

(I just know I will regret posting this)

Man up and take care of your kids. SHe has no money to pay a hitman.

  5. I'm getting one at SMile Dental Clinic on SOuth Rd nearest to Soi Bua Khao.

The first place I went said my bone was narrow as the tooth has been gone 30+ years. He said no problem, use a smaller implant. Well, it is a bottom molar so I want a full size post.

The Smile place first did a panoramic X-ray, 400 baht. It was very modern, I stood up and put my chin on a rest and the machine hummed and rotated around my head. I remember having to bite on some hard plastic for x-rays long ago.

The dentist is Dr. Chris, speaks ok English. He explained the procedure. He cuts a flap of gum without removing any. Stays to the outer side to avoid tongue and blood vessels. My narrow bone requires some bone to be added. It is freeze-dried horse bone, ground up into a paste. The bone is 7000 baht. The implant with crown is 47000, Healing time of the implant depends on the growth and hardness of my bone so he won't know how long until he drills. It all makes sense to me. He also spotted something on the x-ray that I had seen. Under a filling I have a gap, We both think that should be filled in solid. I go next week.

Also, this is the same place that Dr. Gai did my root canal/crown over a year ago. No problems, knock wood.

Well I had this done yesterday at 3PM, I was home by 4. Absolutely no pain during or after. He explained each step. The drill was easier than a filling. I highly recommend Dr. Kris.

  6. Myself & my Thai gf eat Thai food 95% of the time, from many varied places & we find that if we are Central then we will go & eat there. Never had any issues or problems eating the food there & if the gf is willing to eat there then it can't be that bad wai.gif

Today I had the chicken fried rice with green curry. That's where they fry the rice in the curry juice, delicious and only 80 baht for a big plateful.

  7. Once I was sitting on a songtaew and there were two old ladies sitting opposite me with a large basket of guava. One of the rude old crones kept saying " farang" this and "farang" while sorting through the basket. All of this was within easy earshot of myself and to compound their blatant rudeness they completely ignored me whilst saying "farang" as if I didn't even exist.

Maybe they had some 'farang' fruit in the basket? It looks like an apple.
