I imagine that (for me) "proof of residential address" would be a Residence-Certificate, from the Immigration Dept.

(My name does not appear on any of the Bills for my house.)

The registration website page is currently being constructed, but at the present time there is no requirement of showing proof of address    Identifying information is name, tambon, amphue Telephone number, email address and HOSPITAL were you prefer to get your vaccination.

So they're gonna Jab Foreigners before Thai's?
I don't believe that although I wish it was the case lets bookmark this page and come back to it in June.
Will they even have enough vaccines by June I heard it will be July??

At the current time, it is estimated that vaccine administration for non-ties may possibly commence in August. However, everyone knows this is a fluid situation and could change due to any number of factors, such as more  vaccines being approved with a donation of national vaccines to Thailand.

Absolutely true. I can attest that the individuals at the Chiang Mai public health department are arduously working to address the health needs of the area, both for Thais and non-Thais.    If there was lack of planning by the higher ups, get serious, what did you expect.?

Sadly this announcement came out this morning from the COVID International Community Support Chiang Mai's Facebook group after way more foreigners than expected sent emails expressing interest:

UPDATE COVID-19 VACCINATION FOREIGN NATIONALS CHIANG MAI 14/05/21
REGISTRATION ON HOLD: DO NOT SEND IN NEW REGISTRATIONS AT THIS TIME
The COVID Vaccination Registration Dept. of Chiang Mai Provincial Health Office thanks all those who have contacted them and shown interest in receiving COVID-19 vaccinations. They confirm that the Thai government will be providing vaccination for foreign nationals living in Thailand. However their communications systems have been completely overwhelmed by your kind responses; they did not expect so many would be interested. They therefore kindly request that those interested hold off contacting them for the time being until they can set up a larger team or identify a third party to set up a professional data system suited to foreign nationals. Their present objective is to conduct a pre-registration of foreign nationals in order to get an idea of how many are interested and where they are living in the province; this data will then be used to order correct amount of vaccines and plan logistics. Updates will be sent out when the Vaccination Dept. is ready to start receiving your expressions of interest again; we expect this to be soon. Many thanks

This is totally accurate. The hope is that by May 24 there will be a link on the Chiang Mai public health department website that will take you to a page and allow you to register. Fingers crossed

  5. Latest info-  14/5/2021. This is the current situation regarding  warners getting vaccinated in Chiang Mai, not including individuals with pink  ID cards

Chiang Mai public health office is constructing a webpage that should be up and running by May 24. There will be a link at Chiang Mai Public Health office website to take you there.

First priority is vaccination of Thai citizens.     Currently there are just two vaccines that are approved by the FDA.   Despite what people may be being told, at the current time, it is anticipated that vaccines will not be available to non-Thais until the  beginning of August.

Of course, nothing is written in stone, Everyone understands this is a fluid situation. Between now and August it is quite conceivable that other vaccines will be approved. Also, there may be a large influx of vaccines donated from first world countries to Thailand which would then hopefully make them available to non-Thais before August.

The take-home messages is to begin checking the website in the next 7 to 10 days  to register.   (There has been some recent talk that  non-Thaii individuals may have the option of contacting private hospitals and purchasing the vaccine. But you  will need to verify that on your own.) If you require verification of the above statements,  or require additional information,  please feel free to phone Chiang Mai public health department Monday when they reopen.

I agree. Currently you can receive pretty much any regular hospital treatment by using your passport, so it makes sense that eventually we will be able to register for Covid vaccines as well using the same method.

There will almost certainly be ways to register in the future without using phone apps.

It is still early days and those wishing to be vaccinated need to be patient.

Thailand was in a good place at the onset of this COVID business and than they have rested on their laurels and dropped their guards and threw caution to the wind and here are the results,

Thailand will come good again but at a hefty cost to pay to it's people and economy, and now it's up to the leadership to minimize the costs and damage as much as possible..

Nobody rested on their laurels. It was a calculated risk with profit motive, through the mechanism of having Siam Pharma be the local producer of AstraZenaca, then selling the product to the government of Thailand.   If anything, it was a gross overestimation of the competency of local labs/vaccine factories to meet these wild expectations.

How long does it take to acquire this pink card? I  have heard you need to jump thru a lot of hoops and donate your kidneys to get one. How onerous of an exercise is it??  The pandemic may be under control long before pink card is approved. Not much point for the 2 or 3 million foreigners who don't have a pink card.

I found donating my first kidney was no big deal.  However, after giving away the second, I began to have problems.

The final result of anti-Sputnik and anti-Sinovac posts could be ...
Thais will not buy it and there will be no vaccine for foreigners, just because all the existing packages will be quickly consumed by thais.
Is it what you really want? Think twice.

I think, following your line of reasoning, that you propose  Thai 1 and buy sputnik vaccine from a government that has no transparency, they can’t even manage to dope up it’s Olympic athletes without getting caught, and we should all get this sputnik vaccine which is highly suspect in terms of efficacy, and not get protected, so there.  will be enough other vaccines for Westerners.       The last I read, majority of Russians were refusing to take sputnik voluntarily.

  12. Yes, the decision was made to commit 4.2 billion baht to have the internet network servers set up and software developed that could monitor tens of thousands of tourists along with the training of several hundred skilled IT technicians to monitor this system. Individuals should understand this is why the decision was made to allocate financial resources to this task, rather than spend it on placing orders a year ago for vaccines at the time that did not exist and with no guarantee of working.
